800 miles from home, my 2008 C30 started vibrating severely while accelerating. There was no way we would make it home. Based on the reviews, I headed over to Providence Auto. Mike saw the seriousness of our predicament, and fixed it in a couple of hours while we had breakfast. We were in a bind and Mike just cared about getting us home safely. Highly recommended.

Took a call at noon for a tire with a bolt in it. 45 minutes later, the tire was plugged and ready to go. great price, and could be your best friend if you met him. thanks Providence. made my day

Mike and Gary are great. Ive been going to them for years to service my 1998 S70 that now has ~205k miles. They never try to upsell their customers on unnecessary services and repairs. They call ahead of proceeding with expensive repairs and will suggest things to keep an eye on that may need repairing in the future.Volvos of a certain vintage will go the distance if properly maintained. Finding a non-dealership mechanic shop like Providence Auto who understands these cars is the key to many years of faithful service.

Excellent shop especially for Volvo repairs. The guys are super helpful and can usually do same day appointments. Have been able to take my car in for an urgent repair and get it fixed and working perfectly in no time. Convenient location to wait too as there are lots of coffee shops nearby. Highly recommend Providence Auto Repair!

Brought my 2009 Subaru Impreza here when one of my cylinders was misfiring. They told me it could be till the next morning, but I got a call in about 4-5 hours saying it was done. Had basically a full tuneup done plus an ignition coil for a very reasonable price. This was about 2-3 months ago and its still going strong. Very impressed with my experience.

Providence auto repair is amazing. My parents went there for years! having their old 240 DL and 940 Volvos services. That’s how long these guys have been working on Volvo’s. Mike and Greg do honest work with standard pricing. These guys Also maintain their Volvo continuing ed. When I started driving the 940 I experienced 1st hand their amazing work. I’m currently owning a different make and model however I’m looking at new Volvo’s so I can go back to providence auto repair.

This guy went out of his way to yell at me for trying to park in the shared parking lot (yes, shared by all businesses in the strip) because I wasn’t coming in specifically to his business. Even though his shop was closing in the next 20 minutes and none of the spots are specially marked for any one business. 🙄 Wow!!

My many visits with my beat up Volvos over 20 years have ,w/o fail, been among the best service experiences Ive had, in Charlotte or elsewhere. If they ever retire, Ill have to give up my car and switch to Uber
