Im a travel nurse in the area & needed a repair to my hearing aid. I was given an appointment that fit my schedule; the front office staff (Latonya, I think?) was pleasant, helpful and welcoming! In Charleston for a vacation (from Austin Tx) when my wifes hearing aides decided to quit working on Friday morning. Called Carolina hearing services, and Dr Audrey Rinker agreed to see us that afternoon. She was a vacation saver! Was able to retrieve the settings and update the hearing aides, getting them working again. She was a delight to work with - spending an hour with us making sure everything was working correctly and even updating settings on phone to be able to reconnect via bluetooth to control different programs. Highly, highly recommend them!

Dr. Audrey Rinker was great. Highly recommended. Im in my 30s, work with music, she ran a thorough hearing test (for free) and showed me the results in detail. The receptionist, Sarah, was also great.

As a walk-in, with no appointment, I was able to obtain emergency help for an unexpected maintenance service to keep my hearing aid functioning. There was no delay as assistance was rendered while I waited and watched. There was no charge and no disruption of other patients, and I was on my way in only a few minutes., with thanks to a helpful attitude.

I have been going to this practice for years under Dr Martine. It was a seamless transition over to Dr Connell. Dr Connell was patient with me, twice!, when I got my ear buds stuck after 10 years of wearing hearing aids. Dr Abby walked me through the differences in hearing aids and how much the new generation is dramatically improved. I will be retiring my 10 year old aids this coming Monday for a new pair of Oticon More. I will be able to hear through my aids the television and be able to control the volume with my smartphone as well as other Bluetooth. And I wont have to have my family repeat themselves over and over again. It has been a great experience. Thank you, Carolina Hearing; Dr Abby.

The ladies are real nice. The lady that did my exam was super nice spoke loud for me to hear when greeting me. Then after we tested she left the machine on in my ears and talked to me the remainder that way. Also gave me some very helpful info on insurance I didnt think I could get because of age but then she explained disability rules to me. LLooking forward to them helping me hear better sence musc dropped the ball on me once again

The experience was a GREAT one. From the young lady at the front desk & Abby Connell, Au.D. We were welcomed into the office & asked if we needed help with my grandmother who is in a wheelchair.

Abby was very professional. I’ve had hearing issues most of my life and I’m over 60. I’ve tried hearing aids many years ago, only to be disappointed. I learned about Lyric and was interested. I was blown away when they were installed. I couldn’t believe the things I was hearing. This comment is being made before one month has lapsed. I believe that this is the hearing aid for me. Immediately, I knew I would enjoy my association with this office. Dr. Abby was very thorough in clarifying the test for measuring the extent of my hearing loss. Her explanation of how the resulting graphs are interpreted was both thorough and informative. She asked me to identify what situations are most troublesome to me when it comes to my impaired hearing. With this information, she was able to recommend the correct hearing device for me. She invited my husband into the office to share her findings and give him the opportunity to ask questions. She demonstrated to him how the hearing aide would be placed in my ear and how the hearing devices would be recharged She was very thorough in explaining the follow up visits and services that will be rendered. I had a great experience with audio specialist Abby Connell at Carolina Hearing at 1543 Ashley River Rd., Charleston. First, I was seen promptly at my appointment time. Then Abby gave me a hearing test to determine what adjustments needs to be made to my device after a year-plus of service. I did the research since I was replacing a pair of Resound Linx aids. This led me to Carolina Hearing, Dr. Abby, and Oticon OPN 1 aids. After three month, I’m extremely happy with the device and the fitting/service. Through BCBS, I got a significant discount. Carolina Hearing sold a three year service plan at a reasonable price.So I got great MFI devices (Google OPN), a great audiologist, and coverage.

I got my 2nd pair of hearing aids from Carolina Hearing Services and couldn’t be more pleased with the care I received from Dr. Abby Connell.My first experience with hearing aids from another provider was unsatisfactory and I wouldn’t wear them because they were uncomfortable and I didn’t feel they really helped me hear what others were saying. And there was little or no follow-up to make improvements.Six months ago my wife and I went to Carolina Hearing and the experience was totally different. Now I enjoy wearing my hearing aids and I am somewhat lost without them. Dr. Connell wants you to hear better and provides the necessary follow-up to make sure they are working for you. I’m not exaggerating when I tell you not only has my hearing improved significantly but it has improved my relationship with my wife, family and friends because I can participate in conversations.Dr. Connell Knows her stuff and has the experience, knowledge and professionalism to improve your hearing.
