Neat little shop in an old lovely brick building. The inside is inviting and welcoming, as are the croissants! We shared a ham and cheese croissant and a chocolate croissant for breakfast.I lived in Spain for two years in my 20’s and this felt and tasted like the memories of those Spanish corner bakeries.Fresh bread baked daily.

In what seems like a quick food desert, there is this wonderful place. I grabbed an Italian sandwich from the cooler, not expecting to be asked if I wanted it heated. It was wonderfully pressed and highlighted how good the bread was. I also had a chocolate croissant which was good, but the sandwich bread is what I’ll be heading back for!

Great spot for coffee, breakfast sandwiches, muffins, bagels, various pastries etc. for your morning. Prices are some of the best in the downtown. Plenty of sandwiches for lunch and a limited but sophisticated dinner menu provide anytime options. Cozy community type table seating inside only. Big frontal windows provide nice light and views across Broad St.

Normandy Farm Artisan Bakery on Broad Street in Charleston is a great place to go for fresh bakery items and really well prepared sandwiches and other food items. I really like the smell of this place when you walk in and everything that I have ever tried from here has been delicious and memorable. The staff here makes the ordering process very easy and works hard to make sure that you have everything that you need.

One of the most arrogant service ever met. Felt like you had to pay to hear simple „thank you and good bye”. At the end I did not. And nothing special about warmed bagel with spread. Won’t come back.

Friendly service and a modest selection of European-inspired pastries. The coffee selection is excellent and on par with what you would find at a continental European coffee house. Nice ambiance for a quick, quiet coffee break with a touch of authenticity Starbucks doesnt offer.

My friend and I found this hidden gem while riding bikes in Charleston. The food was the best we had during our trip. We ordered everything off the menu to try it all. Alex the chef was entertaining and outgoing; we enjoyed talking with him as he created our amazing dishes. We will come back during our next trip into town! The Oysters we amazing!!! We had to order more!

Phil and Alex are amazing hosts. It is not often that you get a chance to experience great food made by even greater people. Do not pass on this spot! These two gentlemen care about those they serve by asking for your name when you walk in and desire to connect with their customers. Thanks guys!

My husband and I were looking for a public restroom as we had been walking around exploring Charleston and we stumbled across this amazing place! We tried different wines and beer along with 2 types of oysters that were harvested the day before in Massachusetts. The staff was amazing, knowledgeable and extremely welcoming. They made you feel like old friends - great place!!

Our favorite lunch spot in Charleston. Great local food, fresh breads, bakery items. Very quaint little place. Love it!!

The pastries were lovely, but they ran out of specialty coffee and only had drip coffee available. The drip coffee was good, and the price of everything overall was inexpensive. Its a tiny place so I imagine if it got busy it would be tough to find a seat, and parking in the area is nearly non-existent. So walk there if you can. I would definitely recommend this cute, local place for coffee and pastries!

I had gone to Waterfront Park for some photos of the Pineapple fountain and on the way back, I was searching for a pastry or a nice loaf of bread. As I passed Normandy Farms, a loaf of bread caught my eye, so I stopped in. They didn’t have what I was looking for, but I noticed oysters in a small case on the bar. I’ve been on an oyster kick lately, so I decided to sit down and have a few of those. I also ordered another small plate with poached shrimp with radish and celery tossed in an avocado aioli, and a glass of the best sherry I’ve ever tasted (usually it’s cooking sherry in my bisque truthfully). Everything I ate was really well prepared, and the flavor palette impeccable. Coming from Austin, TX that’s saying something. In addition to the food being amazing, Phillip and Sarah (Alex wasn’t there that day) were so much fun to hang out with. Traveling alone can be quite isolating at times, but they really did make me feel at home. I love little gems like this one and highly recommend it on your trip to Charleston, or even for locals that may not know of this place.

Normandy is an addiction for me. I work on and around Broad St. frequently and am constantly hit with the urge to pop in here for a treat. If you get there early enough, you can have the pleasure of tasting an almond horn croissant. If you miss out on that, try anything you fancy. Its all delicious! The salads and sandwiches are all quite enjoyable as well and dont forget to include a pretzel roll for your side.

The Phils (sous chef and bar manager both named Phil) not only delivered the best thing I ate while in Charleston, but they were full of satirical humor and a good laugh. Anyone who has anywhere from a few minutes, to a few hours, to spare in Charleston should absolutely stop by Normandy Bakery on Broad!

Well, to be perfectly fair, I havent actually been here. The food is probably fantastic, but Ill never know. Was looking forward to going here with my hubby while on our anniversary trip later this month. Could not find the hours on their website or Facebook, however, so I called & left a voice message. The manager (owner?) eventually called me back with the necessary info. I then politely suggested it might be a nice idea to put their hours online. (Their Facebook page has not been updated in almost a year, which often signifies a place is no longer in business.) He then promptly informed me that he already has PLENTY of business, therefore new customers are of no interest.Um... The point of posting hours online is that its a courtesy to the CUSTOMER (hence the phrase customer service), not for the benefit of the staff.Whenever my husband & I travel, we always make a point of seeking out small local businesses: we avoid chains like the plague whenever possible. If Im willing (like many others) to make the effort to seek out small family-operations, they could at least reciprocate the effort by making their website/Facebook user friendly. Its common courtesy. In this modern world where small mom-&-pop shops are quickly disappearing, places like Normandy Farm should be grateful for the continued interest, rather than snubbing people & making potential customers *work* just to find them. THAT is bad customer service. No doubt the owner/manager will quickly jump to his own defense & decry my review. Im fact, Im counting the minutes... Oh well, in the meantime, there are plenty of other bakery-bar-restaurants in Charleston. Guess well just try one of them.
