Awesome dealership. Everything was smooth and easy from the 1st phone call to delivery of my beautiful Defender. Our sales person, Quentin Koonce, was fantastic. Although I did spend $60,000 + plus for an Evoke earlier this month, which we love, the sales technique on the Used Mercedes we were looking into did NOT go well. Georgia, the sales manager was very demanding and REQUIRED us to buy in one day or all deals were off. We had not even test drove the car yet. But hey, a monthly quota is a just that. So much for Bakers commitment to return buyers and any thought of loyalty. Strong Arm tactics are just part of their genre, I guess. Buyers beware and do not be intimidated. Mr. Baker will be getting a call from my wife and I. Will NEVER buy from them again!!!!

From the moment we stepped onto the lot we were treated like family. Our salesman Matt who was not only super knowledgeable about Range Rovers but was extremely helpful & not pushy whatsoever. A definite pleasant surprise from the other car lots we visited over the past couple months. He very casually sold us our first Range Rover which we are extremely happy. Christen in the finance department was the most pleasant, personable person that we have ever dealt with, out of our 30 plus car purchases over the years. 3 attempts to get an issue repaired, still havent fixed it. The wait to get in, is weeks long. Its also covered under per the warranty docs, but they said no, and had us pay for the labor and part. There is no communication from the service dept unless you call them, over and over. How does a luxury car company treat their clients so poorly? No loaner cars either.

This was the first time I custom ordered a car and I wasnt sure how the process worked from start to finish. I placed my order back in July and I was constantly given updates on build dates, and when we would take delivery. The Baker team and, Matt Dietrich did an amazing job with keeping up to date on the status of my order coming from overseas. I had a great experience buying my Range Rover Defender with Matt, and the team there. I will definitely recommend working with Matt and their financing team. Prior to taking delivery, Matt would send me detailed updates every few hours with pictures on the final touches prior to delivery. I am excited and, more importantly, motivated to buy another car from them. Thank you for everything!

The service department was sloppy and destructive resulting in sizable damage under the hood.They dont know what they are doing. When I confronted the manager and requested a refund for the poor work and reimbursement for my out of pocket costs he became childishly defensive and projected a very unprofessional posture.As a member of ARLC I have to say I am rather astounded and will most definitely be following up and lodging a complaint at the highest level.

Very very poor service and f/u on Land Rover bought in 2/6/21. Took 4 months to get my out of state plates that I eventually had to take care of myself! They never called back from my numerous inquiries. Also put on wrong tires on my 2017 Land Rover. Very sloppy dealership ! do not buy here!! Tommy Baker needs to get back to work here! Will never buy there again!

Thien was amazing. Bought my _th Range Rover this weekend. Have been a fan all my life of Land Rover and have had experiences with four dealerships in four states. The purchase was easy and the special requests I usually make were handled flawlessly. Thien even made me aware of a few features of the car I hadn’t been aware of! That’s a sign of a knowledgeable salesperson. Guess I will be getting my next one in a few years from Bakermotor company and I will be back to get a Defender in a few months after the first generation gets some road time.... WRONG DIAGNOSE AND OVERPRICEDTook my LR4 in for a low coolant level diagnose. I was charged standard $170 for the diagnose, and they told me the water pump and coolant tubes needed to be replaced. They quoted $2000 for the job. I passed on their diagnose to another well recognized Jaguar Land Rover shop, and had the water pump and coolant tubes replaced for $800 (OEM parts).Days later, coolant warning came up again. Turns out West Ashley LR mis-diagnosed the problem, and I had to send my LR4 in for a proper 2nd repair.I reached out to West Ashley asking for reimbursement for their mis-diagnose, but was told they wont do anything.Spend extra 30min and find a trustworthy, reasonably priced shop for your LRs. Just because they are an official LR dealership doesnt mean they are good at their job.

0/10 do not recommend! I cannot leave less than a 1 star review about their service department! You might think driving a luxury vehicle would indicate a higher level of customer service, unfortunately it does not! We have called and left messages for a week, nobody has answered or returned our voicemails. Finally after calling the sales department and asking for the GM, the service manager returned my call and after apologies he offered to pick up or RR sport and get us a rental since they didnt have loaners and assured us it would be a midsized SUV.... They left my wife at enterprise alone for her to discover they didnt make aproper reservation and she would have to drive a Chevy spark(not a mid size SUV, not a car pretty much a golf car with doors).... They have now had the car for a week for a software update this morning we learned the car would be serviced today... We were told this yesterday and the day before. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST SERVICE DEPARTMENT . Save yourself the headache and drive to Columbia.

I Worked with Matt Dieterich about two months ago. Unfortunately, we couldnt come to a deal at that point. Last week out of the blue, Matt texted me saying he had a more favorable deal for the same type of Range Rover I was interested in previously. He texted me a photo the minute it got delivered to the dealership today and 3 hours later we closed on a deal better than he had promised!!! We recently relocated to Charleston, SC, and were pleased (and lucky) to find a Land Rover dealership with an outstanding service department. David Korelitz, service manager, worked closely with us and remained in contact while our car was in the dealership’s shop for routine maintenance as well as a couple other items we needed. In addition to excellent service and frequent communication, the dealership provided a courtesy shuttle, which made the experience especially convenient. We have had many Land Rover vehicles over the years and, like most repeat customers, stick with the brand for its reputation for superior service. When it’s time for a new Land Rover, we will visit the dealership’s sales group.

Its not often that I leave a review however the service I received from the sales staff at Baker Land Rover of West Ashley was exceptional. I had the pleasure of working with sales representative Matthew Dieterich in finding my next Land Rover and my first Range Rover! Matthew was very friendly and easy going, he listened to what it is that I was looking for in the vehicle that I wanted and was helpful at making suggestions on things that I might not have considered. The financing staff were also very helpful in walking me through the process and preparing me for what to expect when that time comes. Unfortunately, due to the fact that my requirements for my USED RR are very specific, they did not have the vehicle I am looking for at this time however they are still looking and will contact me when something comes in. From the experience I had I would highly recommend using Baker Motors for your next vehicle purchase!

Extremely unprofessional and untimely. The dealership kept my car for four days. I am not from the area and needed to get back home as soon as possible for work. They had zero sense of urgency and hardly provided updates. The service member I worked with opted to text me, rather than call me.I finally went back to the dealership on the fourth day to get an update. They informed me that it could be one of three issues. They recommended that I replace all three issues for $4500.I opted for a second opinion and requested that they provide a tow to my hometown of Bluffton. The Baker Service they responded “we aren’t a towing company”. They also never offered me a rental vehicle or any type of transportation. So I was stuck in Charleston for the week.I took my car to another place on Mount Pleasant. The other auto shop figured out the issue in less than 24 hours and got me back on the road for 3x less than the amount offered from Baker Dealership.Overall a TERRIBLE experience. I will never be returning.

Poor management. Very bad customer service.All the good reviews are talking about how great is the sales personal is. Of couture they have to be very nice, they are sales person. But about the service department? When you purchase a car from them you have to go back for service right? That’s where you gonna find out how bad is the service and poor management. They don’t care about you or your car. They will even charge you for factory defect. Unless you buying from out of town, stay away from Baker Motor.To your reply.That issue was diagnosed by one of your workers 6 months ago. He also said, when next time you are here for a service, we will take care of it. That is why I didn’t rush to fix it. I had a proof as well that the body paint was only a week old that you didn’t even care to take a look at it. The body work you are describing was only a week old at the time. So do not tell me I did not tried to explain you at the dealership when the sale manager was yelling at me. Besides, the body work was only a dent lower part of the fender, and they haven’t even touched the hood. The problem was the hood itself which came defected from factory day one. I tried to explain, which you didn’t care. This is $84k car that came with a defect that could of been fixed easily instead of blaming others. So please, don’t try to find excuses. And as I mentioned before, I will never ever step a foot any of your dealerships in my life. This was the worst experience I had with any dealership in my life. And I have been always driving luxury cars.Thanks for your response

Was told car would be washed before we came to pick it up. They kept the car for two weeks because part would never come in. We were very patient about that though because we both work full time and live 3 hours away so we knew it would be the weekend before we could get back to the dealership to pick it up. That was not the issue. The issue was being promised the car would be clean and it wasn’t. Also, about 20 minutes into the trip (on the interstate headed home) the sealant coolant light came on. I screenshot it and sent a text of it to Jason, the service rep that had been helping us. He never responded.

I’ve owned my Evoque for a almost a year and a half now.I bought it new from Land Rover West Ashley. A luxury car for unbelievable money. Wouldn’t you expect great maintenance service for your money? Not with WA branch. My experience with them has been nothing but disappointment. And it’s not just an occasional, one- time bad luck , I understand anybody can screw up once in a while. But every single time I need service they mess up. This time my car needed alignment bc one of the wheels was completely worn out and I scheduled an appointment online, showed up in person the next day to make sure they got me in the system, requested a new tire by the date of my appointment, told them it’s ok if I need to pay for it. Dropped the car on Friday morning, 8:45 am as scheduled, when I asked them if they got a new tire for me they said no. All day Friday,all day Saturday..... Monday morning - still ain’t got my car back. Which is more frustrating - no text message, no call, no nothing to let me know how long it might take. It’s my only car and I think I deserve to be informed... my schedule totally messed up bc those guys don’t seem to be interested in keeping you as their client. Keep stealing my time by keeping my car for as many days as they consider possible. Service guys from regular cars I used to have did a way better job.: at least I always got a text message from them about what’s going on and how long it might be.These people in West Ashley dealership are the reason why I’m so ready to give up the car I like. Outrageous! Why should I be calling them trying to find out when my car is ready? Isn’t it supposed to be the other way in customer service?Is there any time frame for a simple service like changing one tire?Two nights, isn’t that enough for it?Absolutely absurd!

I found my new Discovery Sport SE on-line and when I called the dealership, Matt D. kept me in the driver’s seat, literally, from the minute we connected. I said I wanted an aggressive lease program and he made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. I texted an image of my DL, took it for a same day test drive and committed on the spot. 2 days later he picked me up at Audi after I returned my Q5 lease, picked up my remaining lease payment and facilitated a super easy transition into my fab new ride. Worst customer service ever. I bought a brad new Range Rover from them and the hood was not closing properly. When I took my car for a service and mentioned that it needs to be adjusted they tried to put a blame on me and refused to fix it. Had to go over three deferent levels of management, they were all rude, even the sales manager of entire Baker Motor yelled at me and basically said they not going to fix it. Also they did tire rotation after which one of my tires is showing low pressure. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM BAKER MOTORS. You are not going to be treated well.

Friendly and competent service agents, (David Korelitz always eager to listen and do whatever he can to help). Seem to know the automobile thoroughly and can answer all my questions. As is it a dealership of a luxury brand the prices for service to my vehicle are high... but that is not a surprise. The times I have had to bring my new vehicle in, (usually for a warning on my dash that I was trying to figure out what it was) they were always gracious and didnt make me feel I was as stupid as I felt. Each occasion has been a positive experience to date. Love my Range Rover too.

The purchase process was pretty through until we identified a scratch on the Range Rover during the walk through. They said they would address it and have it repaired. During this waiting time we had challenges with the digital dashboard and was advised it should be updated. It took several texts and calls to try and obtain an appointment. Three months later, the scratch has not been repaired and the update has not been downloaded to the vehicle. Customer service was good during the buying process, however after driving off the lot, it has been terrible.

It took me 8 weeks to set up and appointment to be able to get a loaner car. Yes 8 weeks How does a dealership witch sales such high end cars get away with it? Second after waiting 8 weeks my car sat there for 6 day with out even being cut on to do the standard 2 year check up.I know because I checked my app and could see it had not been started since I dropped it off to only find out when I finally received my car back that the blue tooth does not connect after they upgraded the software on the car.

I bought an old school 2000 Discovery Series II that had been sitting for awhile so naturally it needed some TLC. At first, I tried to go to a more budget-friendly repair shop because you always hear that the dealership is going to be way more expensive. That ended up not being true in the long run and even if it had been, the customer service alone would have made it worth the extra cost. The budget friendly repair shop would take days to call me back, struggled to explain why certain things needed to be replaced, and basically my SES light would come on every time I left their parking lot. Once I finally decided to bite the bullet and take it to the dealership, I was wondering why I ever took it somewhere else to begin with. The receptionist was very friendly and took the time to explain how the process works BEFORE I brought my car in. I ended up having my car towed in and as soon as they received it, I had a phone call telling me an approximate time frame and they actually listened to everything I had to say about how the car was driving and what the issues were. I worked with Garrett throughout the entire process and he was awesome. He left me a very detailed message with what needed to be done, the cost, and how long it should take. He also took the time to explain WHY and what those parts do. I also rarely ever had to call him when I got off work to get an update after they started the repairs. I would turn my phone on and there was a message waiting for me to tell me where they were in the process and how it was going. My whole experience was really easy and beyond what I expect from a repair shop.

I understand when you buy and expensive high end vehicle and something goes wrong its going to be expensive to fix. However my LR4 has 58k miles in it. Took it to be serviced for a brake light sensor and the vehicle leaning a half inch low in the front. I was told I needed new brake pads and rotors as well as a new strut and both front lower control arms to the sum of $5100 installed. I brought it to a mechanic friend of mine who used a real digital break caliper and said my brakes were 6mm. Dealer told me they were 2mm and needed to be replaced. Come to find out only the brake pad sensor which was 12$ needed to be replaced which took a whole 5 minutes to fix. Long story short I bought all aftermarket parts for 2 grand less then what the dealership wanted and my friend did all the fixes, both lower control arms, front brake pads (since I already bought them anyways and the back brakes were 2 weeks old so why not) and the air strut as well as topping of my coolant which the dealer never checked and replaced my power steering fluid in 3 hours. 3 hours it took him to do all that. Land rover service are liars and a total joke. This is 100% true and I have proof to show it.

I was in Charleston to visit family for Christmas and received a warning on my Range Rover as I came into town. Being over 500 miles from home I didnt feel safe to head back up the road until it was looked at. We contacted the dealership late Saturday and connected with them first thing Tuesday morning after the holiday. Not only was Garrett Watson amazingly helpful and kind he turned my car around in a day knowing I was set to head home Wednesday. As soon as we talked with him he said to just bring it in and theyd do their best to get it fixed that day. Had a call just before 5pm that it was ready to go. They had washed it and fixed everything. I was so impressed with their service but, especially with Garrett. Cannot thank him enough! Absolutely wonderful customer service.

We have bought 1 Land Rover and 2 Range Rovers since 2013. In 2013, we first approached Land Rover West Ashley about our purchase and the experience was absolutely terrible. All employees were rude and ultimately uninformed. We took our business to Columbia and were treated so kindly and with great customer service. We gave Land Rover West Ashley another chance for the service on one of our vehicles in December of 2017. A service appointment was discussed for approximately 15 minutes on the phone to determine our needs and was set for drop off at 1PM and pick it up at 5PM for a date later in the week, as we live over an hour away. When we arrived at Land Rover West Ashley well before 1PM on our assigned date, Garrett in the service department was extremely rude. Ultimately, he said we would have to leave our car there for at least 3-5 days for the service and demanded that I should not be upset because I should not have listened to the person who set the appointment (who works for Land Rover West Ashley). When we explained to him that we drove all the way to Charleston, solely for this service, he was rude, offered no assistance other than you dont even need a service for 1k more miles, so just come back in January or February, and seemed to think my frustration with the situation was a laughing matter. We will once again be taking our business to Land Rover Columbia. Customer service is a very important part of any business and Land Rover West Ashley just does not get it.

After spending over $2,000 to fix a leak in the roof I got my car back with several grease stains all over the upholstery. There was also a gouge in the leather about the size of a nickel in the car door and the plastic cover to the air bag above the passenger window was loose. When I mentioned these things to the service department they said they would get back to me when the replacement part of the plastic cover for the air bag came in. I called back to discuss the gouge in the leather and the grease marks. They claimed they would take care of it. I never got anything cleaned, replaced or fixed. It has been radio silence for months. I spoke with the manager of the branch, the manager of the service department and nothing has been done. No follow up, no check in, nothing. I will NEVER go back to this service department again.
