Had a issue with putting air into my my bike tire so I took my bike into the store & they happily took care of my issue! Turns out the tube/pipe where the air goes into was broken & needed a new one. Took less than 20mins to get a new one in & taken care of. Super helpful & friendly staff. Will return for all bike needs in the future

These guys are really knowledgeable and patient in explaining bicycle issues to laymen. They dont take advantage of ya and generally have a great attitude about them. Ive been going to them for years and every experience is a good one. I bought a bike from them right when I moved to chapel hill and have been visiting them roughly every 6 months, for reference.Highly recommend.

Carson and Brian came to the rescue for my cycling emergency! Carson was able to quickly diagnose the problem and search far and wide for a suitable replacement part, despite dwindling parts supplies. Nice shop with really nice employees. Very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They had a 24 bike we were looking for in stock when everyone else is out until July. If you are looking for a hard to find bike call them on Wednesdays when they get new bikes in. They go quick though!

Went to 2 other bikes shops that did not have the parts we needed to repair my sons bike. This place not only had what we needed but made the repairs super fast at a great price! Jacob is the man!! Thank you for hooking up the Redline, you’re a pro and a gentleman!

Bought a bike for my son there. Got extended warranty. After a month had problems with two parts. They covered one under warranty and not the other. Bigger issue is they had bike for 6 weeks before trying to fix and never let us know one of the parts was backordered 2-3 MONTHS!! If we hadnt called to check on the status of the bike we would have never found out.

Rude employee (older guy probably the owner or manager), I went to return a helmet, was hoping to exchange it, but from the start the employee was impatient and quick to assume that money was an issue, because when I asked about a certain helmet, he said thats not even in your price range. After that I had no desire to be in that store other than to get my refund back. Wont be back.

First off let me say Im a noob cyclist. I bike to get to work and that is it. Every time Ive needed anything done to my bike I always go to the bicycle chain store in Chapel Hill. They have great customer service and they are fun to talk with. Patrick is a real one. Hes helped me by replacing a flat tire right before closing and hes helped me unmangle my back after a crash. Hes just been the best. Even when hes busy he makes time to help me out and Im so appreciative for that. Oh yeah and ya know...theyre a bike store and sell bikes so like. Go buy a bike. Save the planet. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.

Excellent shop and tremendous customer service, especially if youre serious about bikes and dont mind spending a bit more than the cheapest thing online.The employees are friendly and their passion with bikes is contagious. Theyve helped me get fitted with my road bike which has made it much more comfortable and enjoyable.

If you are looking for a bike light or a helmet, than you will probably leave a good review.But DONT BUY A BIKE HERE! We did. The bike was all messed up and they told me that I was just riding hard. We found out that they hadnt assembled it probably after a half year of them saying that it was our fault that the bike was broken. They also said the we needed to buy a new chain when the bike was only 2 weeks old. All they care about is making money.

$12 for a bicycle lock at Lowes, over $30 for the exact same lock at this store. This place is all quality with no value, even the stores as close as Carrboro have far more reasonable prices and labor rates along with a much less snobby attitude.I know several motorcycle repair shops with lower labor rates than these guys.

They took their time explaining the differences in the Hybrid Bicycle category and pointed me in the right direction. As I am over 60 and getting back into cycling, their help and knowledge was pivotal.

I cant speak to what they offer to people who bike casually or only want a cheap beater bike, but their maintenance on higher end bikes is fantastic. Very reasonable prices and every time Ive needed something fixed theyve thrown in a lot of tune-up work at no charge - great guys.

They tried to do more than what’s necessary to my bike. It’s a bike.... don’t even try to deceive your customers.... it’s not worth it...

This is an awesome bike shop! They have been super helpful to me and my wife, and have proven to be really reliable and reasonable with their prices.The shop manager, Jackson, has gone out of his way so many times for me. When I brought my bike in for a creaky bottom bracket, Jackson identified a defective part on my 6 year old frame. He called the manufacturer and had my frame warrantied. He was able to get me a brand new frame, and I didnt even buy the bike from Bicycle Chain.Also, my wife had a great experience with Des at the Durham location. Des did an awesome job fitting Maria to her new Amira and her old triathlon bike, has been more than willing to readjust the fit months later.Both shops are great and I highly recommend them to any cyclist (except to the person that wrote a negative review about a $250 bike being too expensive. Thats equivalent to going into a BMW dealership and asking for a car that is in the price range of a Kia. Go to Walmart if youre looking for $50 bike).

Cheapest bike they had: a $250 used bike.Ok, fair enough, they are fancy.I bought a bike on Amazon for $85.It came unassembled, but I could mostly assemble it myself, except for seat, handlebars and brakes.They wanted $100 to tighten my seat/handlebars and assemble the brakes.Absolutely abusive.
