After reading a few of the one-star reviews and being skeptical about getting my breaks fixed at a new location I have never been to, I was pretty worried that this location wasn’t the best fit for me. But I needed my car fixed ASAP. They quoted me $700 and diagnosed the problem after I thought I only needed new break pads. The problem was that my hydraulic suspension was leaking break fluid and my car wasn’t safe to drive. I thought my skepticism was confirmed with the diagnosis, but in reality, these people know exactly what they’re talking about and my car drives with a night-and-day difference! I highly recommend going here because they were very honest with what needed to be fixed, what didn’t need to be fixed (just yet), and what to look out for down the road. My car runs better than it has been when started driving it five years ago, and I’m happy I paid the money to get it fixed here!

My car was shaking for a long time which was very frustrating driving to work in the freeway. After taking to 3 mechanics, they all said my car needs a new tire which I already changed them almost a year go and they made me change them again but the problem still existed. Finally, my husband (Adel) took the car to this place, and John said the problem is the axle. They are very knowledgeable about the car and after they fixed my car, I finally experienced what a smooth ride means without any shaking which it was so embarrassing if I had someone with me in the car 🙈. Everyone there are very kind, caring, professional, and reasonably priced. I am forever thankful for their hard work...THANK YOU 🙏

They should really allow people to have the option to add NO stars at all. Me and my girl took our car to this place to have the breaks looked at because of the noises we heard when we pressed on the brakes. They gave us their “expertise” on what was wrong with the brakes and we paid the $400 that they told us it would cost to have it fixed. Not not even a week later and the brakes were still making the same exact sound! So we took the car back yesterday & explained the same issues were happening with the car. You would think they would be understanding because they pretty much didn’t fix anything. Nope they tried getting more money out of us for something that they didn’t fix, but now want to actually fix this time around to pretty much squeeze more money to fix it. Why would we want to pay you for free again? Why aren’t people like ROCKY and his assistant manager CHRISTOPHER....CHRIS or whatever his name is more professional? Why did it cost us $400 the first time around and $352 this time around? You know what I believe ALL the positive reviews about this place are from friends and relatives. Don’t bring you car here, AZ has too many options for that.

Took a car I had purchased in to get a diagnostics because I knew it would need some work done as it is an ‘87. Asked them also to retrofit the AC. I was told they would have my cars for days which was fine but days turned into weeks. Every time I’d call for an update because they for some reason don’t know how to communicate, I’d get told that either Rocky wasn’t in the store or that they’re still waiting on parts to be delivered. After spending nearly 4K I get my car home and find out the air coming out of my AC isn’t even cold. So I take it back the next day and wait days again only to be told that my transmission had given out. So I pick up my car and get the transmission rebuilt elsewhere as brake masters doesn’t work on transmissions, then take it back and they tell me I need to replace the Evap Core and wanted to charge me another $650 like I’m made out of money! How they missed that I have no idea seeing as I was told they switched my AC compressor 3 times to try to fix the problem. Not to mention I had a dent in my front passenger side after getting it back. I even went as far as to call the district manager and he couldn’t give me no straight answers as to how they came up with needing an Evap core and he was supposed to go to this specific store and find out but he never called me back. I’m seriously thinking of taking legal action. Anyways avoid this location if you have to use brake masters just do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

I was away from home by over 300 miles, had issues with my truck. Took to Break Masters and they quickly accessed my problem. Put repairs in motion, truck was worked on and rdy to go as they said. So Thankful for their expert knowledge and quick abilities to get me back on the road. Very friendly and helpful staff.

So bought tires from Discount Tire over 6 months ago & recently changed upper & lower control arms with ball joints, strut assembly with Monroe & the stabalizer bar links on my front end. Figured truck was out of alignment so Discount Tire gave me a 49.95 coupon for a 4 wheel aligment through Brake Masters. I was worried my steering wheel would be all cockeyed after they serviced my truck if it actually needed it. But it sit just like it was out of the factory going down the road. Cheapest & best aligment I have ever paid for. Thank You Brake Master & Employees.

I recently brought one of my vehicles to get the suspension replaced on all four sides and get the alignment redone. After a week of this work being completed I had a very loud noise coming from one of the rear wheels. Once I inspected the car at home I found that one of the shock absorbers was just hanging by one screw. I took the vehicle back to the shop for them to re-check their work and to investigate why this shock was just barely hanging on. Once the mechanic put the car on the lift I was able to see the damage and what had caused the noise. The shock absorber was moving around freely hitting the fender every time I hit a hole or crack on the road.it required to have a new bracket to be welded on to support the shock absorber to the body.The shop was able to rework and fix the issue in a couple of days at no additional cost since the work they had done had just been completed very recently. Shannon was very helpful and informative.I will definitely will continue to bring my cars to this location as they have treated me well and do exceptional work.

NEVER USE THIS PLACE. They NEVER call you when your car is finished. They don’t communicate with each other. I was told they would correct a mistake they made at 11am and it’s 3pm and my car has been ready for awhile. They make a lot of mistakes and charge you for work that doesn’t need to be done. NEVER USE THIS PLACE.

Brake Madters #169 Chandler, AZI went in to the shop (on a Saturday)to get a quote for a brake job, front and rear. I enclosed the estimate they gave me. Without the two filter replacements the total was $736.89.This seemed high priced to me, but I wasnt sure. I was telling a friend about this estimate. He told me he would fix my brakes if I picked up the parts at any auto supply store. So I went to Advanced Auto and purchased brake pads and rotors for both front and rear. Keep in mind the Brake Master quote (they told me there wasnt enough metal left on the rotors to be machined) that I would need new ones. Well, not true. I was invited by my friend not only to look at the old rotors, but to feel them also. They were nearly smooth. Needless to say, I did NOT need rotors. I returned them to the auto parts store in unopened boxes for a refund. My point of my story is: I was at Brake Masters on a Saturday for nearly 4 hours for a brake replacement quote, they never bothered to tell me they were behind schedule, to give me the option of calling someone for a ride home. Or maybe rescheduling the appointment. Then trying to sell me parts that I didnt even need. I was very busy that particular day and I certainly would have rescheduled the appointment for another day during the week. As I waited outside the store for nearly 4 hours with out a phone call to tell me they were behind scheduled. They had my phone number, I gave it to them when I checked in. They could have told me then they were running behind and given me the option of waiting or maybe leaving my car there and calling for a ride home.I spoke to two different clerks about the ridiculous amount of time I had been waiting and all they said was they were behind schedule. They could have called me on my phone before I ever got there to tell me to wait until a later time or reschedule for another day. I just absolutely hate being mislead and gouged on prices. That makes me not want to trust anyone, EVER!RHONDA LANGHAM

Brake masters? More like brake idiots. These fools put the wrong brake pads on my vehicle. This was a safety concern on my vehicle. Did more damage to the rotors and now I have to pay $300 to get it fixed.

Coupons are available either online or nearby discount tire locations. I walked in for Alignment and they called me back in an hour. They did a good job.

I went in to see about my brakes as well as to inquire about if they did more auto work. I needed my upper control arms replaced so I could get an alignment as i just got new tires and was told the arms needed to be replaced. I was on my way home from work when I spotted their business and went in. I spoke with Rocky who is one of their managers. They did the inspection and confirmed what the tire place had told me and quoted me on a price. Their prices were reasonable so I scheduled an appointment and came back. To keep me from waiting there in the lobby all day, I was offered a ride back home and they would notify me when the work was done. About 4 hours later they called me to tell me the work was completed. I came back and drove my car home. The ride was very smooth and has been ever since. I was very impressed with these people. They created a level of trust with me from the get go and so much that I will bring my car back to them when it is time for my brake replacement. I am thankful to them that the prices were competitive and the workmanship was done competently. Thank you Rocky for working with me and earning my business!

I almost paid $507 to firestone complete autocare for new brakes but decided to get a second opinion as it turns out I had a lifetime warranty on my front and rear brakes from June 2016. As a female I’m always worried I’m going to pay more for car repairs but as I was chatting with other customers everyone agreed the guys at chandler brake masters really go the extra mile to take care of their customers. They were able to get me in for a same day appointment too. This place is the best. Big thanks to Louie Vasquez for his excellent communication. He explained the best and worst case situations.

Not my first time going to this place, used to be way better and professional.Over the phone Ryan told me it will be for FREE to inspect the whole car then I sat an appointment to check out my whole car. It wasnt for free like they said, I ended up paying $35.99 which is not bad, but they are not being professional, and they didnt check the whole car like they suppose to. They over charge on all their parts and labor. I understand its business and they are there to make money but not ripping off people just because I drive BMW they way over charged took their invoice to another shop and they quoted me half of what those guys quoted me at.The guy at Brake Masters told me I might need crankshaft pulley not sure where is my problem at and that crankshaft cost $775 and have to come from Germany and belts for $250 without labor but It might not solve my problem anyways. The other shop found out that I need drive pulley that cost $55 and belts that cost $50 and I dont have that annoying noise anymore.I will never go to this place ever again.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! I would have given zero stars if it was an option. The poor quality work that was done to my car pales in comparison to the customer service nightmare that ensued afterwards. After paying $735 for brakes and a new master cylinder, my brakes locked up on me on a busy road. I had the pedal to the floor, and the car was going 10 mph and smoking. I called to tell them what happened, and was spoken to with rude, apathetic sarcasm. After having it towed back, they said it was a bad part. They called me the next day, telling me my car was ready. After I walked halfway there, they called me and said it locked up again. The next day, they told me it was a bad part, AGAIN. When I went to pick up my car, 3 days after I had first brought it in, the manager told me Well, we dont make parts. I didnt assume they made parts, nor did I ask if they made parts. The only compensation I received for my terrible experience, was being rudely admonished by the regional manager. If youre looking to be put in danger by sub standard parts and work, followed by being rudely berated by regional management, Brake Masters is the place for you!

Outstanding! My appointment was for 11 a.m., but I was in the area, so I dropped the car off early at about 9:45 a.m. for an alignment. Not only did they perform the alignment on a specialty Vehicle which could have been difficult, but they gave me the coupon price and finished the car early, calling me to come and pick it up at about 10:45 a.m. oh, so it was done before my actual appointment was even scheduled to start. Very nice guys and totally happy with how they treated me and their quality of work. Would definitely use them again and again.

Rocky and his team have been incredible. The first time I sought out help for my vehicle, I was convinced I needed a new alternator. My car was dead in the parking lot in 100-degree heat and Rocke sent one of his guys to come jump my car. They did a once-over on it and instead of taking advantage of me and insisting it was an expensive alternator, they were honest and transparent. (Turns out it was just the clamp on top of the battery that needed to be replaced.) They could have made $380, but chose to be honest and made a whopping $39 on the clamp replacement. The most recent time I came here, my AC went out. Rocky worked with me and made sure I was comfortable before they even started the work. They had it done in a very timely manner and it was as painless as a surprise mechanic visit can be. I really appreciate this location and the way they conduct their business. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

Went in to get ac diagnosis with coupon (13 dollar coupon) was told it would be an electrical diagnosis which cost 70 dollars... they replaced the ac relay a part that cost 7 dollars if you look it up online and was charged 45 for the part. Ended up paying 238 total. AC wasn’t that cold when I turned on my car and drove around for a bit . Lastly their is most likely also a leak but that wasn’t addressed so I’ll eventually lose the Freon that was put in today (had to get Freon as well). Just moved to the area do yourself a favor and find a local trustworthy mechanic.

We just went and had our rotors machined,and they were very accommodating and kind. We were prepared to buy new rotors and they saved us money by recommending just turning them. The gentleman that helped us, was funny and made the experience so much more pleasant. Will def go back!

The customer service was really excellent coming from Jesus and now the store is ran by Luis who also provided top notch customer service. The experience was a good one considering they fixed my alignment on my truck at the lowest price Ive ever seen. They do inspect your vehicle for other issues that they can repair, which may make you feel like your pressured, but they understand if you decide not to make them (its their job at the minimum to inform you). All in all, great service, easy on the wallet, and friendly, respectful staff. Ill go back for repairs I cant do myself in the future.

I always get my oil changes done here, because they report to Carfax. This time, I needed an alignment on my car. The wait was minimal and the price was right.

Horrible experience!! Do not go there !! Air conditioning was working it was blowing cool. Just wanted it colder so asked to fill with Freon. The con-artist says. We need a new condenser he’s already “looked up the price”. It’s magically 600 Charges us 100. But “warns” us about the further work “needed” Blew cold air for five days. And yep you guessed it. Bows it’s hotter than a blow torch !! He Isn’t a good liar. I could tell he was lying asked him to have mercy on my sister who’s a single mom. Living pay check to paycheck no they didn’t care. Do not go there!!!

Went in at 10 am. Explained the issue. They said it could be a fee things. Gave a time frme to check it. They called right on time, explained what they found and gave quote. They had it finished in time frame and amount.

The people at Brake Masters are crooks. When they tried to replace my fuel filter, they ended up cracking my fuel line and were unable to fix it. They offered no options and could not fix their mistake.

Rocky is the best brought my car in was overheating they diagnosed it. Told me it was the thermostat housing. Went right to fixing it they are the best thanks Rocky.

Went in to get my brakes done. It took 3.5 hours... something that Ive had done in under an hour. They suckered me in with price... not worth it. I had an appointment, and they asked if I would be staying. The tech was spread out over several vehicles, which I observed through the windows. If you have an appointment it is so you can get in and out. They do have nice people working there, just wish it was a lot faster.

Good prices and staff was decent. Definitely felt as a woman I didnt belong. Seemed like a good ol boys network. Car took longer to do an oil change than was quoted.

Friendly staff and mechanic got me in same day for four rotors and pads on my SUV, so five stars for that... BUT quoted me $1,400 in additional suspension work my SUV didn’t need until after they touched it. They said the front bushings were failing, And showed me with a pry-bar. They wondered if I’d heard any clunks, had any bad tire wear. Well I hadn’t heard any clunks until I picked it up and drove it home. Tires are new. I’d know if there were clunks, I’ve spent the last 3,400 miles behind the wheel this month between Phoenix and Hermosillo. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt for now, but I won’t be back. Three stars and a cautious, “buyer beware,” for consumers. Decent pricing on rotors and pads installed, but not OEM. Waaaay over-priced quote for control arms and bushings and labor on what they said they found. Extra points boys for lubing my front bearings as requested.

And Ive never felt like they have tried to rip me off. I highly recommend them. John is amazing... Huy, Perry, Jr and Chris are great too. Great customer service. I had a dead battery at home, and no one available to give my car a jump. I called BrakeMasters, they had my battery in stock (he double checked to make sure). I walked over and they went above and beyond my expectations. I had fully planned on walking back home with the battery and figuring out how to install it myself. But, BrakeMasters wouldnt have that- they arranged a ride back to my home and installed and changed my battery in my garage. Ralph and the front desk guy were great! Positive attitudes, great people. Way to delight your customer.

I dont normally write reviews but my experience was so disappointing that I had to. I took my car in to get an oil change and they told me it would take about an hour. I agreed to the hour and walked home about an hour later I received a call explaining I needed my cabin filter replaced I told them no problem go ahead and do it. After about 15-20 min I receive another call advising me that they had removed the oil pan screw and the threads of the oil pan have came out with the screw(Im thinking ok so you stripped my oil pan?) and they would need to rethread the oil pan and if they cant do that they would have to replace the oil pan. I advised them to go ahead and thread it again. After about an hour and a half I get a call advising that I would definitely need a new oil pan and that they couldnt have my car done till Monday, oh and this would cost me about $800. I immediately told them that I would have someone else work on the car and to park it outside so I can have someone tow it. The car was left completely unsecured with the windows down, also the cabin filter that they needed to replace was not put back in my car. I was more disappointed when the new mechanic called me and stated they had re threaded the oil pan with no problem and charged me less than a quarter of what Brake Master attempted to charge me. I will never go here again. I went for an oil change and left not even able to drive the car. The only thing nice about this place was the tone they used to give you bad news.

Horrible service. I went in to get my brakes fixed and paid $175. I waited 3 hours and When they were done, they test drove my car and said that my brakes were running perfectly. Later that same day I was driving my car and every time I put my foot on the brake, it would make that same screeching noise as it did before... if you want to wait hours for low quality service. Than go here

Wow! this the first time in my 36 years of owning a car that I have left a shop with a smile on my face. Adam and the crew here are amazing. they did the job I came in for plus some extras free of charge to keep me safe and did not try to scare me by saying I needed extra work done. they gave me a printout of things that should be done and I will absolutely bring my car back to them for service.

Thanks guys for helping me get my headlight bulb changed so quickly when I stopped by just before closing. I went to several other places...and they werent able to help me. You made my day.

I prefer to work on my own vehicle because I feel I know more about what I am driving. I just performed a15 minute eyeball alignment in my driveway a month earlier, but I got new tires down the street earlier in the morning and needed an alignment to keep my new tires in good shape. I showed up on time for my 9:30 appointment and waited in the customer lounge, which wasnt bad for a brake shop. After the 2002 Explorer was done Greg at the counter said that they couldnt make the correct adjustments because the car was too rusted, I would have to put a bunch of money into it to replace a bunch of the suspension. I explained that even though the vehicle was older, it was very unlikely, since I made the adjustments a month ago. I asked to see what they couldnt move. I explained to Greg that the tech was trying to make the adjustment in the wrong place. Once he understood what needed to be done he called the tech over. The tech insisted that he loosened the jam nut and couldnt turn the tie rod. I explained that the tie rod does not turn on this vehicle, but he kept saying he couldnt turn it. Based on the way it is designed, if he were to turn it, he would have broken something. When he realized his mistake, he didnt admit fault, but said he would try it again. By that time my car was off the rack and I was put back in line to wait. I was getting ready for a trip to Colorado, so I wanted to get the full alignment done that day. I was already there for 2 hours with an appointment, and had other things to do before my trip. The only positive was that they did fix the toe alignment on the front without charging me. I might go back, but Ill do more shopping around before I decide. Very disappointed leaving the shop.

My oil change took 3 hours and thats with an appointment. When I checked in the guy in the lobby was very unfriendly and when I checked out the other guy in the lobby couldnt answer any of my questions. (at least he was nice.) Price wasnt bad with a coupon.

Not honest. Paid for lifetime brakes on front and within 1 year had to return for sqeeky brakes. After they looked at it and came back with a $1100 fix ( Not Lifetime)(only $20 pads) the new rotors that were 1 year old had to be replaced because they installed the brakes wrong causing the inner pads to wear out very fast and causing damage. And they also mis diagnosed the back brakes saying I needed new axle bearings. Another $1000 dollar fix. I got everything fixed from another mechanic for less than $300.

Friendly and professional. Did a complete auto check on my vehicle and knowing that i had come in simply for an oil change, they did not hassle me to make additional purchase. Vaccumed the inside of my vehicle and did a very nice job! Thank you!!!

Fast service poor customer service. I used to get a discount on my oil changes even though they are already discounted. I asked about it and he said its already a discount..... I said they did it before to come out to 20 bucks... basically take taxes off and he just said.. debit or credit.......and left it at that. And when helping another customer the main guy helping people in the lobby got a attitude and blunt if you ask more than one question. This store has gone down hill customer service wise in the past 2 years. Sad to say...

Stopped in to have brakes checked, got pads, rotors was out the door in 1 1/2 hrs, fair prices as well

This place is a joke. I called ahead and setup an appointment for an alignment. I show up 15 minutes early and it takes them an additional 45 minutes to get my truck in. Now Im sitting in their waiting room for 3 hours and I get called out into the shop. The mechanic working on the truck doesnt even have my adjustment sleeves out and all 4 wheels are on the rack. Dont come here the techs dont know what they are doing and the advisors will mislead you along repair paths.

These guys create major problems for their clients and unlike other locations they make no effort to solve those problems untul the clent is angry. Also i watched them pull my car straight of an alignment rack with no test drive. Turns out i had a bad tire not bad alignment but i has to find that out on my own after paying 200$ for an alignment because besides creating headaches for me the staff at this shop apparently cannot accomplish anything.

This company offers VERY poor customer service. I say the company as a whole because there was an incident that occurred while my vehicle was being serviced at this location that required me to take the matter to the corporate level, whom also exhibited very poor customer service. A few weeks ago, I took my car in to be serviced. The store manager, John, cussed in an exasperated tone when I told him that there was a part on my car that had been broken while it was being serviced. He deflected all responsibility and stated I could be a not so nice guy and say that it was wear and tear of the vehicle...I guess Ill just eat the cost of this. He was visibly agitated/frustrated with the situation, and despite his crass, condescending response to the incident, it seemed like he was going to replace the part and take care of it. However, John was never once apologetic and stated that hed be in touch with me regarding the part, had his tech do the best he could to fix the part temporarily and sent me on my way. He followed up the next day and told me that his guy didnt break the part intentionally so I [the customer] would have to buy the part at wholesale cost from HIM and hed be willing to install it at no charge. He said thats the best he could do...mind you, he just admitted fault by saying his guy didnt break it intentionally. At this point I decided to take this matter to his supervisor, as I felt that I shouldnt have to pay anything because 1. I didnt break it 2. My car was in their care while it was being serviced 3. He admitted fault. Apparently his supervisor was out of town so I spoke to the CORPORATE customer service rep, Timothy Harphant (who called back a day later). I explained the situation to him. He stated that he would speak to the store manager to get his statement and requested pictures of the damaged part. (Note: the pictures and video that were sent were of the part AFTER the tech had messed with it and attempted to fix it, so the damage was not accurately depicted). Timothy called back (yet another day later) and stated that after speaking with the store manager, he agreed with him, that it was general wear and tear of the vehicle and stated that the best he could do is what the store manager, John, offered me...FREE installation of the part, which he stated would be at least an hour and a half of labor (for a part that would literally take 15-20 minutes to install) and Id have to pay for the part that his employee broke. He didnt care that they admitted fault or that he made this decision using an inaccurate depiction of the damaged part. I later called back to see if he would at least approve for me to have the part installed at a different store, as I didnt feel comfortable going back to the store where I felt mistreated and taken advantage of. Timothy never called back after multiple messages left. The part on my car is still broken, and I have yet to hear from anyone at Brake Masters. To say that I was dissatisfied with this company is an understatement. I will NEVER take my car back to another Brake Masters and WILL advise any of my friends, family, coworkers, acquaintances, neighbors, fellow social media networkers, or simply anyone asking me for a referral to a mechanic shop of any kind to look elsewhere for quality care and outstanding customer service. Because Brake Masters wont give that.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. I Just had brakes done front and back. Spent over 300. Was done on friday said they would have me out before closing that was a lie. Went out of town took a diffrent car came back tuesday started driving my car and guess what it was sticking and making more noise then when i brought it. Took it back today 3 days later for them to fix it. Lost a days pay told me i had to wait cause other people in front pf me but they already got my money. But ok come to find out they gave me a cracked pads. Call corporate spoke to complaints and they said they fixed it we dont compensate for your time or missed work. But you didnt do the job right. Brake masters. They are no masters mor like amateur. Will never use there company again total rip off

Had to tell the alimment man to put a person in my car becuase if not the aliment would be off. Other than that very happy with it also got a 20.00 discount from discount tire after purchasing new tires
