I have had three pleasant experiences at this Xfinity. The first time, it took a while to be helped, but I came in right before they closed. The other two times, the employees who helped me were incredibly friendly and nice. If you have issues, go in person and get their help! Dont bother with calling.

Set up was super easy and pleasant over the phone. A man named Edwin who is an associate in Florida was very kind and talked me though the set up process. His manager is named Tabrina and he should get a raise! For real, hes the type you want to keep in customer service he was awesome.

I spent years with Mediacom and can count on one hand the number of issues I had. I was forced to switch to Xfinity when I moved a couple months ago, and have had terrible internet connection every single day since my service was activated. My internet drops out multiple times a day, for extensive periods. Id drop this service in a heartbeat if anything else were available.

I signed up for internet service and after they took my payment, the address where they are sending my equipment showed a completely different address. Ive tried every which way for 2 hours to speak to a human about their error, and after chatting online with a virtual assistant they told me that there are no agents available to assist over the phone. Worst customer service Ive EVER experienced in my life. Do not recommend

Despite me coming in right before close, they helped me set up my wifi at my new apartment. The person who helped me was patient and polite.However, as is often the case with these places, the plans and discounts were horribly confusing and misleading by design.

Comcast as a whole is just an awful company, they get a monopoly over a market and provide terrible customer service and price gouge. No reward for loyalty, your rate keeps going up when new users can start for 1/3 of your bill. We moved out of comcast territory and they had to get us one last time with a $90 cancellation fee after they have been robbing us every month for the last 4 years. I hope someone like AT&T invests in fiber optic in all of comcasts areas and provides decent customer service and runs them into the ground, doesnt even have to be great service when your competition is this bad.

I have been a customer for many years and I find myself questioning why after each attempt at communicating with them. Hold times are understandable, but to be hung up on after waiting for 30 minutes + is hard to handle. Especially when it happens more than once. When discussing plans, their only option they gave me was to accept a $45 dollar / month increase in bill for the same exact service. What other type of provider can accept such large service increases without having customers complain/ leave?

There are alot of good and bad reps everywhere in the world of telecommunications. I can tell you now, that youll skip all that bologna by just asking for Mark at this location. When you need technical support you cant talk to a person. The automated systems puts you in a loop and will tell you their system is down even when it really isnt. Finally I got a technician to call when I wasnt home left a message but did not leave a phone number so I had no way to return the call. Their is no customer service their fees are continually going up when losing channels. I had to give them a 1 to enter my review but really dont even feel they deserve the 1 star

We enrolled in xfinity mobile through the phone. They didnt know anything what they are doing.1. We were told if we cancel it within 14 days we wont be charged for anything, but after the cancelation we were told there will be a restocking fee for the phone, even though we didnt open the package.2. The number transferred was wrong. Part of the reason why we want to cancel the service.3. They didnt tell us we can chose the color of the phone.4. They didnt tell us we have to use the phone for the new service.Yeah. I will never consider xfinity mobile no matter how cheap it is.

Spent an hour trying to get ahold of someone. As soon as she looked up our account and saw that we had cancelled our service, she transferred me to another department. They then talked in circles and argued with me about not being who I said I was. Accused me of being a liar, and later they sent us another bill for the month of unused service.

Lucky they have a monopoly on high speed internet. If you can check out i3Broadband. I cant get them in my neighborhood... but if I could I would support them the best I could. Comcast wont give me internet at the same speed I use to pay $59.99 a month for, now they want $120 month for the same speed and they force me to have TV. Cant wait till I can dump this garbage company.

I was told by their on-line service that I could exchange my defective xfipods at the store, We went there and were turned away and told we needed toi buy new xfipods. There is no phone number available to contact customer service at the store directly and apparently their in-company communication is as poor as their customer service.

You can not get to a person without going through a lot of questions by a computer driven party. Spent three hours trying to get my auxiliary box fixed and finally they were to send a new box over a week ago. Still no box and cannot reach someone toget straight answer. Truck goes by my house every day but if they bring me one its $70 or $100. Pay two hundred a month and no services .

TLDR; if you want reliable internet service and are able to get another provider DO IT. EVEN IF IT COST A LITTLE MORE. IF YOU CAN AFFORD IT, SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND DO IT.I would like to preface this review by saying that this is NOT a reflection of my experience with the Champaign brick and mortar but rather a reflection of my experience with Comcast overall. I have not personally had contact with anyone at our local store, just contact with national customer service.I have been a Comcast user for many years and have attempted to switch multiple times however, as I’m sure many of us know, Comcast is essentially a monopoly, and no matter where I have moved in Champaign/Urbana Comcast is the only company that can service my address. I have had the occasional lapse in services in the past but it’s seems that these have become more frequent the years have gone and have increased substantially since COVID-19. In the past two weeks alone, my internet has been out for about 2 hours every morning, like clockwork.Paying $70 a month for internet where the only reliable thing about it is it’s unreliability is, in my opinion, fraudulent behavior on the company’s part. I have talked to individuals with ATT who pay similar prices and they have reliable internet, with few to no outages.Another large frustration is that the company will offer “deals.” These are 12 month contracts that take your $70 plan and bring them down to more reasonable prices. However, you need to keep a close eye on your bill! They will often add in random charges or charge the original price.Lastly, my biggest frustration is the national customer service. It took multiple calls just to get through to a real, living person. I was trying to switch my service to my new address and spent 3 hours on the phone trying to do this very simple thing. I was unable to switch the service online as my account (which has only EVER been in my name) was saying I was not the owner. I spent hours on hold and trying to explain my situation to various people who never seemed to understand what my situation was. This caused so much frustration that I started crying, as I work from home and needed internet. Finally after 3 hours, and a new account later I had internet. Which was great but it’s too much of a hassle for internet that is guaranteed to go out for multiple hours once a day.

We were just at the Comcast dealer at Market Place Mall where Jonathan helped us. He was very good and listened to and answered all the questions this Grandma and Grandpa could throw at him. He looked for the greatest discounts and explained all options. We would highly recommend this Comcast and Jonathan for your services.

I signed up for the 1-year contract to get the discounted 30$ per month package for just internet. I moved to a new appartment in the SAME BUILDING shortly after. When I changed that to their website, I activated my account through my router and modem at the new unit and everything worked at first. But then, in 2 weeks my account was deactivated, and to activate it they would sign me up for ANOTHER contract for 35$ per month, because they (falsely) claimed I did something wrong when I activated my router at the new place and the available price for that unit (again, same building) is 35$ per month... They are just a bunch of scammers, stay away!

This review is several weeks overdue but better late than never! While I often am left frustrated by Xfinity/Comcast, I left the store with a huge smile on my face after working with Bernita Brown. I had visited the store due to ongoing issues with my bill. I checked in with an employee and was told I would be called when someone was available. I waited but was never called, and I noticed traffic in the store had slowed and employees seemed to be available. I approached Bernita and explained I had been waiting but had not been helped. She sincerely apologized that I had been forgotten, and went the extra mile to ensure I left the store a satisfied customer - all with the most contagious smile on her face. I can only imagine she is faced with complaint after complaint from angry customers, and I deeply admired her ability to carry herself with positive energy that radiated through the whole store. I wish I could rated this Internet provider with the lower score, unfortunately 1star is the lowest grade available and they didn’t not earn this .We have been having an Internet connection problems with them constantly. ( our Internet speed varies from 0.20 Mbps to 1,6 Mbps the most for the last couple weeks ). We had at least 3 days WITHOUT Internet and TV at all. The company was notified about this problem and a few crews came , each one said that the problem is with the line outside our house and that the company will take care of it in 24-48 hours. Which seems never happened, as we still are having this problem. Right now the Internet speed is 0.18 Mbps.Now they even do not answer a phone when we call. We just automatically transfer to an answering machine whenever we call. Than, even after all “ tests” performed and that answering machine promised that someone will call to take care of our issue nobody ever called back to solve the problem.We Are seriously considering to switch to another provider but it takes time.Anyway, Iam sharing my experience and warning new potential customers to think twice before signing contract with this company.

I have been into the Champaign store a few times and have always had great customer service but just want to shout out Adam who might just be my favorite employee there. Has always helped me out with my issues while porting a number or even when I moved to a different address. I just took in a cable modem (which I replaced with my own model) and a DTA (I didnt need it anymore) into this store. The person I gave the equipment to took out a DVR instead of the DTA, which meant one of my TVs wouldnt work. This resulted in some real problems.I spent 90 minutes online with technical support on two separate calls. The first managed to get the TV that wasnt working back on, but in the process disconnected another TV, which I didnt notice until after the call was over. The second call got all my services working, but I now have to call a deactivations department to have a device removed that I dont have (the one I turned in).The lesson here is to check the serial numbers on any equipment you have before you turn them in, and then check to be sure the person you gave the equipment to handles it correctly. You wouldnt think it would be that difficult, would you?

Nearly every attempt Ive made to reach Comcast/Xfinity for help by phone has been AWFUL. However, I found going to this store to be an unexpectedly pleasant experience. I scheduled an appointment through their website and arrived about 15 minutes early. When I walked in, I was quickly greeted by an employee who confirmed my appt and told me to have a seat. Id barely sat down when my name was called. I came with a bad modem that I wanted to be replaced. There was zero hassle. Within five minutes I was out the door with a replacement modem, ethernet cord and coax cable. Everythings working fine. In the future I will make every effort to avoid having to deal with this company by phone and use the store instead.

This is a wannabe Apple store, and has an extremely inefficient buisness model. There were only 3 employees working and one of them only existed to “check people in” like the Apple Genius Bar. I do not want to hangout at a cable provider’s store and would much rather get in and get out. After waiting 20 minutes I decided to take my business elsewhere.

Their internet is garbage and they don’t know how to do their own jobs..🤷🏻‍♀️ If you want constant outages and having to bring the modem in every month this is it for ya. Let me just start by saying that I love Xfinitys services and products as a whole. I was eager to switch my carrier and get a new phone and better price on my monthly phone bill. I went to this location because its local. I wanted to purchase a Samsung Galaxy S10+ and an iPhone Xr for my woman and I. A man with glasses named Mark was our agent. They had the iPhone but I was told the S10+ was not in stock at the time, but I could order it. I asked Mark if he could find out if the store in Normal, Illinois had it in stock. He went to a back room, insinuating he reached out to them, and returned saying wed have an answer shortly. We browsed the store and about 5 minutes later, he approached us to say the store in Normal did not have it either. I decided to drive there and find out myself. The store in Normal had it. I get that comission based pay is competitive, but straight lying to a customers face is just disrespectful. I left for another reason as well though. Mark was mildly aggressive and also was oddly distant. It seemed as if we were bothering him. I had to initiate all conversation. I never thought Id actually want a salesman to try to yknow...sell me on something, but his lack of interest made me want a different agent. We love our service with Xfinity Mobile and our phones, but the store in Normal, Illinois was a much more pleasant and comforting experience.

Wow, one wow one of the worst customer experiences of my whole life it took me 3 hours of communication between multiple sales representatives to finally ascertain after being told from the local office and asking them twice that everything needed done was done and it would be ready to go that I would have to have a service technician come out and hook everything up after wasting three hours of my time talking to multiple people and being cold from a local office that that wasnt the case on top of that they tried to tell me that they were going to charge me a $70 service fee which I was adamantly denying and told them if they wanted my business that they would have to not charge me that to their credit they didnt but only after the telephone sales representative called me maam three times after I told her repeatedly that I was a man.
