I visited this shop when I was in town for a conference. It’s a small local shop. I had a chance to talk to the manager and he was really friendly and open. We talked about comics, life, and politics. It’s nice to get this kind of personal attention in a shop. The only downside for me is that the selection of trade paperbacks didn’t include the most recent publications, so I wasn’t able to give the store as much money as I wanted to. However, if you’re local, check out this store. Whatever you can’t find, you’ll be able to order.

Well they lost my business since as soon as I walked in the door he demanded a mask and well I walked in 6 stores today and no mask required and even at a restaurant and no mask required. Small business didnt need my money. Guess I will give it to a big chain store. ALL LIVES MATTER !!!!

After 2 online orders, this may be my new go to site for comics my LCBS doesnt have. Both orders were shipped either day of order, or early the next morning, packaged very nicely, and in excellent condition.

If it had more comics then I wouldve given it a 5, but otherwise the staff are great and help out with other recommendations

I asked G-Mart to assemble a surprise box as a present for a friend. I forwarded some info about his interests and especially asked for comics with queer content. The box assembled was awesome! Just what I wanted and he loved it. The staff here is knowledgeable, welcoming, and energetic. Cant recommend this place highly enough!

Great local comic book store. Good selection and convenient subscription management. Owner is super friendly and super knowledgeable if you’re looking for a book or suggestion. They also host fighting game weeklies on Saturdays.

It is really great, when it is open. My daughter and I tried for over a month to go there. We would go, on the days/times the sign on the door said they were open, but they NEVER were! We went 5 times! It was our first time, and my 13 year old really wanted to go so we kept trying! She REALLY liked it when we finally were successful!

They have very polite and helpful staff. Used to be a purely comic book store but theyve recently expanded to include D&D paraphernalia, which is great, AND they have tables in the back room to play on. Not sure if they have set times for that or not, but a very welcoming atmosphere overall. Huge selection of comics and a subscription system for those who want to keep up with weekly series. Great location (a bit hidden away, but 2 blocks from the terminal, and right downtown in case you want to grab a beer/coffee and read your books right away), although parking can be tough during the day. 5 stars.

I went in looking for a gift for a pre-teen with specific interests. I have little knowledge of comics at all. The person on staff was so friendly, full of ideas, and helpful - then the customers got in on it too and gave me so many great recommendations. What a warm, friendly place. Im not a comics person really, but now I kind Id cant wait to go back.

It is the nicest and best comic book store in CU. The staff is friendly. You can find great gems. The store is organized well.

I love this place! I was telling one of the workers recently that they have a very clean and considerate place of business (especially the restroom). This is not your sterotypical moms basement comic and nerd shop.

Regularly out of major titles. Luckily I’m able to go to Normal (Graham Cracker) or the suburbs (Amazing Fantasy in Mokena) for work. Much friendlier attitudes at these locations than our subpar local shop.

Best place to buy comic books in the CU area. Colby is a good dude to buy comics from and to talk comics with. He is a local treasure so be sure to stop by and check his comic knowledge

I love this store, I go every week to get my comic fix and they always have my subscribed comics ready for me when I check out. The staff is very knowledgeable about the comic book world and Ive found myself in quite a few conversations. It is small and does not have a lot of older comics, but it is still a great store.I highly suggest going on Free Comic Book Day, theres always a lot of people and costumes and of course free comics.

Only comic book shop in Champaign (at the time). Great and knowledgeable staff. this is a branch of a Chicago based comic store. Excellent selection of comics. No self-published or zines in this store. This is your Marvel/DC/Vertigo/Etc kind of comic shop.

New manager is filling in some big shoes (previous manager was there for 20+ years) and is doing a great job! Comics every Wednesday and now game space for the gamers! Great service!

Always friendly and helpful. Plus if youre new to the comic scene the guys here want to help point you to book you may like. Plus they are always looking out for you. They will offer advice on where to find that book your looking for and will order what you need.

An overall great experience and one of the best comic book stores that still exist

Ive been enjoying getting into comics recently and this place helps in the experience. They have a wide selection and a great atmosphere and the guy that sits at the desk is super helpful and knowledgeable about comics.

Great shop, staff, and they have fantastic accuracy with their pre-pulls (from Previews).

Make it more obvious that your physical store is not open. I just drove an hour to find a closed door.

I had a very enjoyable time at G-mart for free comic book day. They even had a comic (not free) that I have been searching everywhere for!Staff was friendly and answered all of my questions and seemed happy and friendly.

The staff is very friendly, and they have a wide selection of comics. When I visited, the guy behind the counter asked me if I wanted a bag. Not all places do that. Again, there is a very friendly staff.
