Use to be a great business, but not anymore. Inventory is lacking in the stores more and more. Kiosk checkout outside the stores are time consuming and the machine runs out of receipt paper with the worker going back and forth to the main business for a receipt after EVERY purchase, which adds more time in line. Online orders from Hot Topic are ridiculous as items get cancelled from orders and discounts get left off because of cancellations that were done by the company itself. Presale is not a good thing at all as the item will be in the store for months before you might get it shipped it to you. Shipping dates get pushed back further and further with the item already on the shelf in the stores. Customer service representative, Taylor to be specific, is snarky and rude. This is one of the franchises that just needs to throw in the towel and bow out of sales in general.

Its a standard hot topic. It used to be my favorite, but it doesnt really have what Im into anymore so i dont really buy from the physical store much. Im certain the online store would be much better for everything youre looking for.

Yeah theyve been really going downhill in recent years Just for their product quality and pricing going up and with the staff being seemingly incompetent and just sit and talk and on their phones most of the time its Just painful to even shop there anymore on top of the fact they keep sending you out to the outside kiosk to check out which takes way longer than it should The whole thing is just a stupid decision

Im a huge fan of Zelda and Mario, and this is the place I always go to for getting shirts that support the games I like but also look good and fashionable. Ive also gotten wallets and braclets here too. and there is a TON of other cool stuff there. Basically if you want to look good sporting the movie/TV show or video game you like then this is definitely where you should go!

While products are situated nicely, store seems clustered. Products are also not placed how their displays have them listed.

Its too crowded to even think about getting a wheelchair in there. The merchandise has gotten pretty generic. Nothing edgy anymore. The staff was very nice but my daughter was only able to look at the sales racks, outside the store, because of the lack of accessibility.

Fun place to look around.. I shop for grandkids and the staff doesnt treat me like a fossil.. very friendly and courteous.

They dont appreciate or accommodate Funko Pop customers, which is pretty rich considering that Pops are a big part of whats keeping their doors barely open. They dont answer questions over the phone (plenty of stores will bend over backwards to connect you with what youre looking for) and they treat Pop collectors like a complete nuisance.

Everytime I go in there, there is always somebody whether it be staff or another person buying things, that will help me if I need it. The staff is more than nice and they are sometimes a big influence. If they have tattoos, sometimes if im the only person in line, they will tell a story of how they got their first one. If they have piercings, theyll tell the story of how they had the courage to get it and if they thought it hurt or not. Hot Topic is an amazing place for people to connect whether it be a little kid, teenagers or adult, you can always find new friends there! 😍😊

The prices are a bit high but they have an excellent selection of merchandise for gamers and geeks in general. Sometimes you can find Funko Pop on sale too, which I am a sucker for.

Great selection of items, but sometimes I’ll ask the cashier if they have something in stock and they say they don’t without even checking their data base. Minutes later I find that item.

Got a shirt for my kid here. Seems kind of dark both physically and spiritually. Felt I needed re-baptized after visiting there.

Me and my boyfriend went in and saw they had sunglasses on sale and there was only one section with pretty feminine looking glasses, non looked like ray-bands or anything considered gender neutral. My boyfriend walked up to a employee( I’ve never seen her but I also use to only come in after 5) and asked if there were any men’s glasses instead of more. Instead of answering or even saying that was the only section of glasses she said “ There are no men’s and women’s they are just sunglasses okay?” And walked away. While I agree with the statement being rude to someone because they asked a question with a gender in it is not a good way to get returning customers.

The workers are really nice and helpful

Every single staff member was more than helpful,but not in your face like many stores.They had great personalities and were far more than helpful. I was buying gauge kits for the first time and they knew everything about it and allowed me to become educated to be safe and satisfied with my purchase. The champaign, IL store makes tyou feel welcomed and important as a customer. It was great!

Good quality cloths with collection of dress shirts and trousers.

Lots of variety for tees. They usually have specials as well. Its a little cramped, so I wouldnt take a wheelchair or something of that nature in there.

Hot Topics is a great trending store the selection they have of pop culture items is immense the staff is always friendly and fun prices are fair for the items you receive.

Pretty expensive and there walkers are very poor quality however if you dont mind wasting your money on poor quality they do have some pretty neat stuff
