A lovely local and affordable spot to explore asian cuisine.

I frequent this Asian grocery because of their wide selection of spices, sauces and other ingredients. They also have a large frozen foods section as well as a lot of fresh produce.

Loved being there and the people are super nice!

I am not Asian, but I am familiar with many Asian ingredients, which works in my favor because the employees are generally unwilling to assist folks that dont speak their language. So, make sure you research, bring a picture, or a friend that speaks the language. I love the greens in the produce aisle! The noodle, spice & rice selections are pretty broad! Fresh tilapia & lobster.

I had a ball in this place... I had no idea what most of the things were but spent a good deal of money purchasing items

I used to love buying food there because the buns are cheap, and it turned out they are cheap because they are bad! That’s the reason why u can’t find any expiration date on the package of buns too.If I never buy two packages and one is black one is white I would never know it.Worst experience everrrrrr!

Sometimes I dont find the same items so they are not quite good at keeping the stocks I suppose! But they have a wide selection of products.

Hidden gem. Huge selection of food. Bigger and better priced then most other asain markets like green onion, fresh international, or far east in urbana champaign. Very clean and organized. They have fresh bountiful herbs, balut, bones, organs, specific meat cuttings, and fresh live tilapia and lobsters. Still cant get over the great price for great quality. Highly recommend to check out.

They offer a lot of Asian food you could imagine!!! The is my first choice of Asian market in Champaign. It is big enough with very decent prices.

Fast Service and nice people

Bought curry chicken rice bowls twice from this supermarket. Both bowls had gone bad before I could eat them. Just avoid this place!

I am not asian, that being said I feel that most asian supermarkets have foods that are far and away alien to americans. I enjoy seeing the different types of flavors and especially the candies and the drink selections.

Excellent selection of fruits and vegetables at very reasonable prices. Most of the stuff is fresh and sweet. Would highly recommend.

They have everything you need--and way cheaper than some of the other places in town. Check the expiration dates before buying some pantry items, though.

Cheaper than the Asian grocery on Neil St. It has a very good variety of Asian products and fresh produce, as well as various pastry, dry, and frozen products

They have a good collection of asian food. Most of the items are price is reasonable. However, the fishes are very expensive. The quality of the frozen fishes are very bad. They may have been frozen for very long time. I bought some, didnt taste good at all.

I would highly consider this place if you are looking for a store with very fresh goods, great variety and good prices.

I like this store. Anyone with a mind for new things and novelty who like to hunt for thier most loved kitchen staples will enjoy thier trip here. Theres not labeling in the isles, there are price tags. But the isles have numbers and the store is small and if you need to there are two people who run it plus workers from the fresh fish area and stocking jobs to ask for help. There arent many fresh options, but there are so many asian products that are hard to find elsewhere. Also. Idk if its just me but the size of thier carrots are exciting. Imagine a regular carrot, bundle that with three more and you have the width of a carrot here. Hilarious and delicious. Lots of nice ingredients for making asian dishes. The owner will always help you find things she is very proud of her reputation and a hard worker and very knowledgeable. This place also sells really nice dishware and typical appliances for asian cooking as well. I bought some dishes last time I was there. Perfect.

Great selection of bakery goods, produce, and things you cant get at a normal supermarket.

Stocks and goods are not as much as the one on campus, but if you live or happen to be nearby, its convenient. The shop is run by a Chinese lady, so thats a plus for anyone prefers the language. Uou can find most of the asian vegetables and ingredients here.

Have many special items that cannot found in other supermarket

LEARN HOW TO COUNT MONEY AND STOP STEALING FROM CUSTOMERS! got a 6-pack for 10.91$. I paid with 21$, so I could get 10$ back and not have so many singles in my wallet. the cashier gave me 9 cents back... she didnt even look at or count the money! I told her that I gave her a 20, and she gave me back 9$ and couldnt understand or remember that I gave her 21$. so she stole 1$ from me as well as wasted my time.

They have a good selection of tea. One of the few places that carry whole leaf tea. Also dried mushrooms, fish sauce, miso and lots of fresh produce.

Great selection. Friendly staff. Cheapest prices than any other Asian supermarket in the area. The only reason that I didnt do five stars is because there wasnt much Japanese items but your not going to find much around this area for that type of ingredients. Very happy with this store and great location as well.

Good place with excellent prices on various Asian foods and drinks. They have a great drink selection, including: Royal Milk Tea - great little can of tea from Japan and Chaokoh Coconut Water - good tasting coconut water for a great price too. Havent really tried the food products yet, but will update my review once I do so. Overall it is a great place to shop, except for some parking issues as lot is small and outside looks a bit shoddy.

Sometimes smells strongly of fish, but that is because they carry live and fresh frozen seafood. Otherwise they have a good selection of food, from fresh veggies to uncommon spices to Pocky and so much inbetween.

This place has a great selection of fresh Asian fruit. I went specifically for Korean pears. They had plenty and each was individually wrapped just like they are in Korea. I only got one, but it was superb. They also had Jack fruit. Their website was actually updated with their current selection so if youre looking for something specific I would check the website first. Next I checked out the Ramyun selection. They have some solid choices. I also picked up some taro mochi. Good experience all around. I was hoping to find some duck or quail eggs, but I didnt see any.9/10 would recommend.

Its a little messy and weve definitely bought things only to discover they were expired. But for this part of town you really cant beat their selection and authentic Asian items.

Before you read: theres another store called Far East Groceries. Do NOT go there! They are rude to customers.About Asian Supermarket: They are the most friendly people Ive ever met in an Asian grocery store.When I checked out I said that I didnt find a particular brand of soy sauce, and was not expecting anything from the cashier lady. But she became serious about it: she called on the guy who was selling cigars, and asked him to find that soy sauce for me. So the guy hurried out of his country and rushed into the shelves, and brought me the kind of soy sauce that I wanted.Turned out its not want I was looking for. The cashier lady told me that if I cant find what I wanted, I might as well try the one the guy got, because it is what her family uses, and it is very good even if you just use a little bit.What else could I do about her suggestion? I took it with pleasure.

Has a good selection of goods, and baked goods as well. The selection leaves something to be desired though, it has basic to medium selection of Asian goods and snacks, if your an occasional Asian cuisine maker I would recommend this place.

Clean, right assortment, well organized and love their fresh asain salads from kimchee to salty squid.

We come here for some more obscure ingredients and better prices. The only place Im aware of that has pigs blood.

Update: I am knocking off a star because this place is going downhill. It smells terrible now, the produce is NOT fresh, there are flies, and there are rarely people to help at checkout. I was totally ignored by a male worker this week who I know saw me standing and waiting at the register. He looked right at me and went back to whatever he was doing behind the counter in the front. He got up and acted like he did not see me only when the manager came out. However, they still have the biggest selection in town.I love this place! They carry a lot of things I have not been able to find at the other Asian stores in town, my two other favorites being Green Onion and AmKo. For example, they have a really nice selection of sweets, ice creams, and other snacks and a HUGE selection of beverages not seen at the other places. I was also able to find dried galangal, which I was not able to find elsewhere. Great selection of pickles! They lean heavy on Chinese products, but there is also a lot of Korean, Thai, and Japanese stuff, too. I have not purchased any fresh seafood yet, but I did buy a hunk of pork belly and it was decent. Honestly, I prefer the meat from Green Onion, though. I think it might be a bit fresher, and it comes in smaller portions, which I prefer. The only downside is that the store has a lot of empty shelves and they are almost always stocking during store hours, so the aisles can be difficult to navigate. Otherwise, this place has been great for me as I learn more about Asian food and cooking.
