Last year, I purchased a 1995 Rickenbacker 330 for a pretty decent bargain but soon found out as it arrived that the electronics were pretty rusted (especially the pickups) and the guitar could be in better shape. I dealt with it for a year, just thinking it couldn’t really be fixed. However, out of nowhere, I came across some intonation issues and had no choice but to take it in. Setup was much cheaper than other shops I’ve been to for repairs and my jaw dropped when I opened the case yesterday after getting it back. The guitar looks brand new, plays amazing, and sounds better than ever. All the rust, gone. I was floored and it made my entire week. I cannot recommend these guys enough. They do incredible work! Thank you guys so, so much.

Nice family owned business in chamblee. Came here to have my guitar strung and purchase a tuner. All together everything was about $38. They have a family dog that greets you at the door (which made my day because I love animals). Everyone there was very friendly and they even offer guitar lessons.They have their own parking lot which doesnt seem to ever be full. Its very easy to get in and out of.

It’s a neat store. It’s a small local place with a somewhat limited selection. I didn’t think the prices were all that great based on their new guitars and the staff didn’t find me interesting enough to ask me if I needed anything even though this one guy saw me coming in. Oh, well.

I absolutely love these guys all of yall are the nicest people I have ever met. They are very very helpful and no pressure very easy to talk to and they are very reasonable and will do anything to help if I had a million dollars I would spend everything on yall 😉

Carter and Jimmy were both super helpful and friendly getting me set up with a new guitar. They were happy to answer all my questions and let me demo any of the equipment. Ill definitely check here first before I resort to any big box store.

Nice vintage guitars, they have some low-budget guitars too. Staff is very courteous and helpful. They let me play a $5000 guitar, which you normally cant do in other stores.

This shop is crammed full of gear, some absolutely gems and some items that are gems in the eyes of the right person. They have a wide selection of guitars, acoustic and electric, pedals, and amps.The shop is a little crowded but only because they have lots of selection in a smaller, old house turned shop.The staff are helpful when needed but willing to let you browse with out being obtrusive.

A gem of a music store! Great selection of guitars (and probably other stuff but I really only play guitar). The staff was truly helpful over the phone as I was looking for a last minute Christmas gift for my son. Highly recommend for their knowledge and professionalism. And the shop dog is the icing on the cake :)

These guys were great, and knowledgeable about my particular wants. I asked for a pedal they didn’t happen to have, and they gave me 5 more options that did just as well if not better than what I was searching for. This is the only new/used music equipment shop I will shop at now.

Cool place, but 7PM is too early to close. 8PM is more reasonable, oh well. I would rather the place be 12-8 instead of 11-7...but it isnt my place to make that decision. Nice place otherwise.

Simply came to pick up some new guitar strings, but ended up having a great conversation with the owners. They were beyond helpful and extremely cool! This place is a little hidden and smaller than most music stores, but inside it is just as good as any. Definitely check this place out. They also give lessons!

ADM is a great, locally-owned guitar store. The folks here are very knowledgeable and super friendly. They have a great selection of both new and used instruments and amps, as well as the best selection of guitar pedals in Atlanta.Not only have I bought here (new and used), but Ive also consigned guitars for sale. They are great to deal with on both sides of the transaction. I can recommend them without hesitation. They are definitely among the best guitar shops in town!

Has fantastic selection. When you’re ready to order a Matchless, it’s nice to A/B/C....etc lots of models and configurations against other industry standards to make the right choice. Tons of boutique pedals and guitars to play with as well. Staff gets extra credit for letting me run the amps up in their stage operating range (LOuD) and occasionally popping in to say which variation they preferred. Ordered that day and they delivered to my door just under three weeks later. Awesome!

Great place to find various kinds of vintage/new music gear. Definitely one of the better local stores as far as guitar pedal selection is concerned. The staff is also very personable and all around helpful.

What a great decision visiting Atlanta Discount Music. After traveling from Michigan I chose to try out this shop because of the selection. Not only was the space super cool but what an incredible amount of gear. They knew their stuff and were super friendly and fun to speak with. Love that’s it’s locally owned by someone with an obvious passion for the business! Loved the place so much I even walked away with a new guitar. Don’t miss out if you have the chance to visit a real guitar shop!

I shop there usually once every 6 months for strings and picks, but they always seem to remember me. Great laid back environment. Im giving them 5 stars because I had to one time get major repair done on my Martin acoustic and they did an excellent job.

Its great to still be able to go to an old school, locally-owned music shop. These guys have boutique gear all over the place and its packed full of guitars and basses, new, used, for beginners and pros.

They have FANTASTIC gear at a reasonable price. Let me caution you, however:If you are selling an item on consignment here, the fee is 17% (not bad). Dont be surprised though if they try to talk you into selling your gear for low, low, low. They are called discount music for a reason, and they dont have enough space in the shop to let your stuff sit around collecting dust.Also, if you have an item on consignment make sure you call periodically to check on it. They sold my amp fast, but they didnt call me to tell me it sold.

The prices are reasonable, and the customer service is great. The selection of guitars, amps, and pedals tend to the nicer side (not a lot of squires hanging on the walls) but there are deals buried here.

Ive bought a guitar, a few pedals and a few amps from this place. I like their selection, higher quality items, and they have plenty of used gems in stock. Jimmy and Mark always very helpful and relaxed... no pressure from these guys. Always happy with the setups they do, even had some custom work done on a LP that came out fantastic.

How have I not been here before!? I hesitate to write this because I feel like Ive just discovered a hidden gem. The people that work here are music lovers and players themselves, not sales people. The selection of tried and true equipment is so on point its insane - from guitars and amps to the largest pedal selection Ive ever seen.

This is one of the coolest music stores I have been going through for 30 years. They have instruments mostly guitars and basses and amps and electric do hickeys too put effects on whatever you might be playing.. the customer service is awesome even when theyre about to close they will not stress you or themselves over time. They also provide lessons 4 all levels of musicians. If you can get out to chamblee I highly recommend you do so. It is only a ten-minute walk from the chamblee MARTA station even if you have to travel by transit. Their prices are very reasonable and even sometimes insanely reasonable. Very cool store.

Awesome boutique guitar shop. It’s a little out of the way, but it has almost everything you’ll need! There isn’t tons of parking, but since it’s smaller local store it’s not usually packed.

Lets see. Ive bought an old SG, and 80s Strat Plus, and Fender all tube hardwired amp, and assorted pedals here. And had a great experience each time.I brought in a Deluxe Reverb, and the could have sold me a complete tube set, because I am a dummy, but one little cheap tube fixed it.And they got the P90 on my vintage 300 rewired and installed.George and his team have me as a customer for life.
