Ive been buying from the family cow probably for about five years. Theyre raise their animalshumanely. They are raised on pastures with organic grasses unlike what you find in the stores that are called organic because they are fed organic feed but spend most of their time indoors and not feeding outside on healthy grasses. The owners are also very nice people.

Always efficient, friendly customer service. The inventory is small but high quality and pertinent such as kefir water, sauerkraut, local raw honey, maple syrup, herbal healing salves, Himalayan sea salt, farm fresh meats, raw local cheeses, raw milk, delicious homemade sourdough loaves of bread, plus some more wonderful offerings.

Stopped here last week and got some raw milk and cheeses. What a wonderful store and lovely people! The milk was the best Ive ever tasted and the cheese was mighty good also. I can;t say enough good things.... definitely stopping here every time I come through the area.

This chicken is by far the best I have ever tasted. I found it very difficult to find soy-free chicken near me so I ordered online for home shipment and it was an easy process. I had a few questions after my delivery and the family cow team very responsive. Would definitely recommend!

Hands down the best Raw milk we have ever had and the hot Italian sausage was the best as well. We have purchased milk through a drop point before but we wanted to actually go to the farm store and see where this delicious food actually came from , so for my birthday my wish was to go to there. So my husband and I made the trip from Erie to Chambersburg with our huge cooler and bought 10 gallons of Raw milk. It was totally worth the trip!!!!!! Best Birthday gift ever. The 10-point raw milk check is better than homogenized/pasteurized milk in grocery stores! The pickup option is great for people that live far away from the farm like I do. There is nothing more delicious than my home made Greek yogurt made from Family Cow milk if you want to make it yourself. Yes, there is whey, a layer of liquid to drain off the top to get to the thick and creamy yogurt. Whats in the whey? Id love to know because I use it to make smoothies assuming its full of probiotics, too. Drain the whey off but dont discard!

I absolutely cannot say how truly we are grateful for The Family Cow! They are true to their product. They keep you informed and in the loop with what’s going on on the farm. Many of times they have helped us if we did not get our order in on time (we since have been very diligent on getting our orders in ;) ) I have also forgotten (I have 4 children okay lol) to add yogurt to my cart and they gave me a recipe to make my own until I ordered next, They treat everyone as family. Last but not least, the food, is INCREDIBLE. After making the big switch from grain fed beef to 100% grass fed, I can 110% taste the different. Not just with beef but also with the poultry and pork. My kids also absolutely love the water kefir and raw Jersey cow milk! Not to mention their delicious cheeses. I have never bought anything that I disliked from them! I absolutely love this farm! The raw milk is amazing, and the beef sticks are far better than any you get in at the grocery or convenience store. So far thats all ive tried but we cant wait to try even more of their amazing products. Many, many thanks to the Family Cow family for providing such extremely wonderful raw and truly organic products across the state. I mainly use their raw milk, butter, and eggs, but am thinking of adding meat to my diet again, as I can be sure it is untainted. The milk is delicious, tons of cream on top, freezes well. Used to make raw milk yogurt and kefir as part of my self-prescribed recovery from Lyme. Their milk literally does not spoil or mold, it will sour, but not spoil - I unknowingly tested this when I left a small jar of milk in the refrig for over three months. Came out smelling like heavenly cheese. You can taste the freshness in all their products. They also send out email newsletters with valuable information, recipes, and behind-the-scenes pictures. Lovely family doing their best to provide us with healthy, nourishing food!

We started out buying raw milk. It is absolutely delicious. Our next purchase was scoby, to make our own kombucha. Then we ventured on to their eggs, which are also great. Next was cheese…wow, paired with their meat sticks or jerky, and a glass of wine…amazing. We also buy ground meat, hot dogs, maple syrup, chocolate milk, yogurt, butter, chicken, kefir, and will be getting the apple cider vinegar as soon as we run out. Excellent tasting raw milk and smoked cheese, that taste fresh and natural. The Kefir water is also delicious; we had the tumeric and ginger.Both the chicken and beef broth was also delicious. The only complaint I have...wish the jars were larger for the price..The broth is a bit expensive....The milk and cheese was extremely reasonably priced.Cant wait to come back!!!

The Family Cow is our favorite place to get “safe” foods. We used to live close by, just over the state line, but we have moved to New Hampshire. We still are able to get most things from The Family Cow using their shipping service. Their chicken is, in my opinion, the best you can find as well as their beef. I can always count on tasty and good meat for the money. I miss being able to browse their farm shop, but the newsletters and reminders help with that. The family Cow has been an extremely pleasant place to buy fresh farm foods that are pure and of great health value. Everything I purchased was so so good. Honey was awesome. Cant beat the Hamburg patties. Havent found any that can beat them. Everything is free from GMOs, antibiotics, etc. I got my starter grains for kefir from them and there was no problem. Bone broth was excellent they honor their product. We need more Family Cow merchants that provide healthy, fresh meat and other product. I miss their sweet sausage links. He’s purely an entertainer and has something to say about real cow’s milk!This is the real McCoy family farm!The milking parlor is right next to the store and it’s absolutely sparkle clean!Maria was a great and knowledgeable host at the store and the farm is meticulous. The farm is located in a beautiful countryside that is like a mini Switzerland easily accessible from Interstate 81.Tasty maple yogurt sweetened with maple syrup. A wide selection of cheeses, and most are made from milk from Shank’s farm.They also have other interesting products that complement raw milk including uncured beef sticks, sprouted grain bread, sourdough bread, raw honey, water kefir and lacto fermented products including kimchi, beet kvass, dilly beans, ginger carrots, and sauerkraut.I was surprised and fascinated by the smallness of the store and that it doesn’t take a large store to play a key and powerful part in the larger voice of the raw milk market presence. Kudos to Mr. Edwin Shank, the excellent proprietor of good clean cow country entertainment!

Although I marked 4 stars above I truly believe what you do offer is amazing/fantastic. But I also have always wondered why you do not offer some of what I think many may call staples in our refrigerator. In the cheese line, where is mozzarella or parmesan? In the deli line, why can we never get other deli selections like ham, turkey, roast beef etc.?

Great place for natural fresh dairy.

Ordered chicken skins to air fry and use in place of bread and or potatoe chips. OMG they arrived nicely packaged. And the skins were from the breast of the chicken. They were clean, large low in fat and just made a very good keto snack. Will order more before I run out, this was my first time ordering meat on line...I am glad I trusted this business. My experience was amazing.

I have been a weekly drop-point customer of The Family Cow for over a year now and am totally satisfied with their products and service! The milk is outstanding (and Ive tried raw milk from other sources that was not as good and didnt have the shelf life either). The eggs are also wonderful! You can see the freshness in how the white holds together and the rich orange color of the yolks (recently I had a dozen that had 5 eggs with double yolks). Once you get used to cooking grass fed meats (much less fat, so low temp & slower cooking brings out the flavor and tenderness), you will never want to go back to factory farmed meat! And their sausages and home made all beef and all pork hot dogs cannot be matched. Theres nothing more satisfying than shaking your farmers hand and having them greet you by name. I feel so blessed to be part of the Family Cow family!

Just received my home delivery and WOW what attention to detail in packaging. The eggs were even each protected by paper towels along with the special packing. Everything arrived in perfect condition. The butter looks so nice and yellow and creamy. I cant wait to try it. Once I sample my goodies i will post again.

My wife and I can’t recommend this farm enough!! It is our go-to spot for all things organic and free-range. The meat is all top notch. The staff is so friendly and helpful; such a welcoming environment. The bacon is the best you will come across. We’ve purchased bones as well to make our own amazing bone broth. They cooperate with a number of other like minded farms as well. We love being able to get Wild About Salmon here as well as local apples and apple cider vinegar. We aren’t big milk drinkers, but the local cheese and butter is amazing. Do yourself a favor and shop local using Your Family Farmer. You won’t be disappointed. They have THE best quality organic foods and meats. Ive been buying from them since 2008 and love these farmers. They take such good care of their animals and are very friendly and helpful. The animals are raised as nature intended, and the natural diet the animals eat as well as how stress free their lives are shows up in the quality of the products. For example, the egg yolks are orange from the high levels of Omega 3, which is a result of chickens eating grass and bugs. Ive been to the farm and seen how well they care for their critters. Best part is that even though I just moved quite far away (other side of PA), I can order online and have their wonderful foods delivered UPS.

Every email I get from The Family Cow is friendly, kind and caring. Theyre very open and reasonable with their explanations for things like limits on particular products or late fees. The staff at drop off is kind - and once when I missed my milk pickup (through my own fault), the driver called me to remind me and waited for me so that I could get my order. I know that this isnt required of him and I am so thankful for his kindness.For those comparing the prices to grocery store prices, Id recommend reading up on the practices of many commercial farms or the companies that are the middle-men between farmers and consumers. I feel that these quality products are well worth it and am glad to be able to support local family owned agriculture.

We love Family Cow! The quality of their food is exceptional. We have even visited the farm several times and have never seen such a clean farm! We don’t know what we would do without Family Cow products, especially the raw milk and other raw dairy products like their yogurt and cheese. My family will never eat conventional dairy again!

Love the Family Cow! We buy our raw milk there every week as well as their chicken, cheeses & raw honey. I tell everyone I know about raw milk. IMO it tastes better than the stuff you buy at the store. And, we havent had the flu in our house in several years now, no vaccinations for the flu either. Just truly believe in the benefits of natural probiotics from our yummy milk!!

A good farm full of fresh and healthy ingredients.

This is by far the best place to buy food for those of us who are concerned about the food we eat. Not only is the food delicious, but this farm goes out of their way to educate their customers. They tell you everything from how their animals are kept, to exactly what theyre fed, to how they are butchered. You know that you are getting a high quality product, not just something labeled as organic or natural. This place is the real deal! All their products are healthy and delicious. I feel blessed to have found them and have been a customer for several years.
