Ok, at first I wasnt gonna do it.... but when youve been a patron for 52 years!!! And Im 53 π€π‘π€π‘π€π€¬! I cant let it slide when all my mother did was, ask for more hot fudge. We ordered 2 medium hot fudge sundaes. There was barely enough fudge to even be seen by the naked eye. So, she asked for more and offered to pay extra. The woman with the dyed blonde hair went off on her, telling her that there was chocolate in there and that shed put one scoop in there. And that was enough. No one there has ever been that RUDE and Obnoxious in all my mothers years of going there, and shes been going since 1955. Moms is 75 yrs old and deserves more respect than that!! Theyve officially lost 3 customers!I gave 2 stars cause the ice cream still rocks. And what sucked.... THE HOT FUDGE π.
My friend goes there every week and raved about it so we had went out to eat but we didnt have dessert. I wanted to try your Frosty Freeze and Im so glad I did. I really enjoyed the chocolate covered ice cream. Im looking forward to bringing my grandchildren in the near future to Frosty Freezeπ
I have come here a few times with a friend of mine when we are in the area.Its a blue building...you order outside and pick up outside...no indoor seating.This time I ordered a small tripple berry sundae...3.99...vanilla ice cream...topped with like a berry compote which was really good ...whipped cram...chopped peanuts and a cherry on top...i very much enjoyed it...very refreshing.he ordered a medium strawberry shake...4.31. He said he really enjoyed it.They also sell food such as hotdogs...burgers...pastrami burger...grilled cheese...shrimp in chips...fries...onion rings...corn dogs...as well as other ice cream treats like soft serve cones or dipped cones...blizzards...eat.I like this place a lot...

-Short Version: The clerk and cook lied to us about the green mold growing on our bun, then told us bread mold is different and safe to eat compared to regular mold, refused to refund my money and tried to make us another grilled cheese with the same mold bread loaf from before. I finally got a refund, but it was a whole lot of hassle for no reason. I would give them 0 stars if possible. My entire family had food poisoning the next day.-Long Version: Took my girlfriend here to grab some food for us and my mom. She ordered a grilled cheese, ate half of it before she saw the mold. We took it back and the clerk told us very plainly it wasnt mold until the woman cook in the back came over to see what was wrong. She also told us it wasnt mold, but like 2 minutes later admitted that it was mold, but that it was somehow safe to eat because i cooked it and bread mold is different. Argued with her about getting my money back, which she blatantly ignored and tried to make my gf another moldy grilled cheese. Had to argue with her again for like 3 minutes before they gave us the money back for the sandwich. Also, the very next day we had food poisoning so bad that my diarrhea didnt subside for 2 days afterward. Will never be coming here again. I would suggest everybody who eats here to check their food before making the mistake of eating at this establishment. Not to mention everything is hella overpriced here, for 3 people it came out to like $45! Ridiculous...

Really nice guy made our cones. But the soft serve has changed. Now yellow and richer, I preferred the old white calf slobbers.

Just went for soft ice cream. Didnt have chocolate. So had the dipped cone. Cant drive and eat the chocolate shell at the same time. It cut the craving for sweets.
On a warm summer evening nothing is better than soft serve dipped chocolate cone it is so wonderful to have this and Foster freeze is an affordable way to get it we really love getting ourselves a good chocolate dip whenever we can

Was on my way to do some laundry and desperately needed to break a 20 just into some 5βs or ones. I asked really nicely and the kid rudely said he couldnβt give me change and looked at me like I was a crazy person trying to scam him or something. So much for helping out your local neighbors. I was excited to try that place out while I was doing laundry right next door but forget it now!!

Vanilla Soft Serve isnt the soft serve DQ is known for... so disappointing.Its the first time Ive seen Beige colored Vanilla Soft Serve. It lacks flavor.

I can see why they are so few now. It took forever. People....Fresh french fries and a pastrami sandwich take time to cook. Crispy outside soft inside. Not even the small ones were hard. Pastrami sandwich? The best.
I adore this restaurant! They provide fantastic meals, their menu is nice, The chief cook in that place is a specialist, I enjoy a lot tasting all their dishes. The dishes are always fresh and tasty, the attitude towards the clients is helpful. I frequently visit this place and I was never unhappy. Highly recommended.

Dont go hereWe ordered a caramel sundae, a chocolate soft serve in a cup and a cone. Lady gave us 2 cones and a vanilla soft serve with chocolate sauce. She refused to give us what we originally ordered and yelled at us for wanting her to give us what we ordered.
They have to work on costumer service plus i dont like expensive but cheap hamburgers-ill be back during the summer for ice crean or a milk shake but thats it. Plus the inside needs deep cleaning as a chef its eazy to spot build up.

While the food was good, the service wasnt as great. First we ordered 3 sodas but the clerk only gave us 2 and we had to order a 3rd. Then they didnt give me my god damn onion rings. Shall not be returning.
Good ice cream
Ordered one of the cheesecake twisters and the server was super rude and would only give me one napkin (even though the twister was overflowing and made a mess everywhere). To make matters worse, the cheesecake chunks were moldy! I noticed they tasted awful and realized after looking more closely many of them had green spots on them. I hope I dont get food poisoning, definitely not coming back again :(

This restaurant is unquestionably one of the coolest restaurants in the region. Whenever I come there I am awfully pleased. They maintain their very high level service and the topmost level of dishes they serve. You are always happy with this restaurant. Warmly recommended.

Heard a lot of hype about this place, so we decided to try it.We got the cookies & cream ice cream sandwich, marble ice cream sandwich, mint chocolate chip shake, and a slice blue velvet cake.I practically ate both the ice cream sandwiches by myself. So good mmmMmmmmm.......The cake was good.The shake was really good.

First, the food took a half an hour for the food to be served, and the employee was getting peopleβs orders wrong which took even longer. This agitated me and my father eagerly! And the food wasnβt even worth the wait. I donβt know if maybe they need more employees but we only ordered 2 milkshakes, as well as both the inside and out of the building was covered in filth and it smelled like garbage inside. Outrageous!

Usually love this place, but tonight the portion seemed quite a bit smaller. And the chocolate soft serve had an odd taste, kind of fizzy like mineral water π€
Waited 15 minutes to order them spent 15 minutes waiting for it be done. I ask simply for a PLAIN hamburger and a vanilla cone. What do I get? Cheese burger with everything on it. Now I understand with fast food sometimes the employees are working so fast theyβre on autopilot. But with a wait time approaching a restaurant, that clearly isnβt the problem. If you fast food or good food or even what you order, donβt come here. Especially if youβre on a budget.

Ehh....Ive been coming to this place for 20+ years. Yesterday I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with onion rings. I was the only person in line and no one was waiting for their food. He forgot the BACON! The lettuce seemed old and withered...The tomatoes were as if they had been cut a week ago. Bummer, I love this place. It is definitely gone downhill.
We did not have a great experience at Fosters Freeze. There was only one woman working, so we waited in line for 10 minutes to place our order. In that time we watched the woman yell at two different customers for not understanding what she was asking. She was rude to us when we ordered, commenting on how it was inconvenient of us to change a small to a medium. We then had to wait 20 minutes for our orders. Mine was made incorrectly (coffee ice cream instead of chocolate) and my partners milkshake was almost all ice. It was like a slushie. We were both frustrated by that point and didnt want to deal with the poor customer service so we just left. We will not be going back.

Its sort of like an old Dairy Queen, featuring mediocre fast food (that isnt served particularly fast) and ice cream-centric treats. None of it will blow you away, and while this isnt a bad option on a hot day, theres absolutely no reason to go out of your way to visit this shack.

The staff was super patient trying to understand what my child was trying to order. She reread the order twice to make sure she had all our special adjustments were correct. Then they helped guide us to the nearest bathroom.

Take-away only, there is not seating or indoor area. Medium sized parking lot; there are usually places to park. Vegetarian options on the food menu, and lots of soft-serve dessert items.Laundromat in the same parking lot makes for a great laundry experience.

I maybe could give it 5 stars but it was a tad expensive for burger and fries and chili cheese fries, but then again SUPER ample, super delicious, and VERY filling (1 order of chili cheese fries filled up my boyfriend and I.) Plus super sizing it probably didnt help the price to stay low. Nice selection of shakes. I love that it was open late enough. Plenty of parking.

After getting a hamburger combo with fries and soda, the fries are perfectly fries are every single fry (saved some for later after my belly relaxed, the fries were still better than the McDs that only taste good when hot) hamburger could have used more seasoning and more sauce, but the fries made up for that and an ice cold Coca-Cola to hit the spot!Definitely a go back place! Best ice cream in town
About a week ago, my boyfriend and I stopped by for dessert. He ordered a rocky road shake, knowing that they typically contain almonds or walnuts. However, this location uses peanuts instead and does not disclose this information. When he asked them of his ice cream had peanuts in it, as he is allergic to them, the women working there were insanely rude and refused to think that information should be disclosed.
I have only had their soft serve ice cream but its good and theyre the only place near my that has dipped cones.
Went to check on some Maybelline. Got distracted by a fried burrito, Im not saying its their fault... But next time Ill save room for an ice cream. Old school West Berkeley... Hope it never gets bulldozed for a fly by night tapas shop. Lets stand by this icon. Por favor.
