Absolutely check this place out. I got a veggie platter for takeout and it was really delicious. Got a huge serving of food and it was very reasonably priced. The staff was super friendly and service was quick. Highly recommend!

Im a vegetarian. And it was my first time at an Ethiopian place. The staff were friendly.And I had ordered a vegetarian platter to go.I was not so sure about trying the injera. So, I replaced it with some Tortilla. The quantity of the food given was good. It was hot. There was a 10 minute wait time.2 of the dishes were a bit bland. So I added some salt. One of it was spicy and I liked it. The spinach dish was really good.I also bought a slice of chocolate cake. It was creamy but not very sweet. Looked like a cool place for a bunch of people to hang around and chill over beers

This place is great. The food is so fresh. We had the vegetarian meal for two. Lots of food and doesn’t feel heavy. Well done and well seasoned. We will be back to try other things!

This is my first time having Ethiopian food, and I will say 5 stars for the food. It was abundant and delicious, and I will definitely come back for more.The only thing that might improve is the set-up, as I was confused when I came in, b/c it didnt have that bakery atmosphere (no displayed bakery items...or if there was, I missed them), and the menu on the wall seemed to highlight South American cuisine. I had to ask about the Ethiopian food to be given a menu to choose from.Im not particularly picky about atmospheres, particularly w/international foodie places, so long as it is clean (enough), but to be fair to my 5-star reviewed places, if Manna Bistro just made it a little clearer about what is available and how to get it, Id give the extra star to them, no bells/whistles required.Regardless, Id def return and recommend, particularly to order the sampler vegetable platter.(I want to note that I had walked in here before, but was so confused and not greeted by anyone to help guide me, that I just turned around and walked back out. This time, I stayed and followed through trying to figure it out b/c of the good reviews, and I had time to kill waiting for my order for food nearby elsewhere.)

Wow!! There’s something wonderful about that yellow cabbage+carrots dish. I have safely eaten here prior to and during the COVID pandemic, and am curious about whether there’s probiotics in the sour bread. #IAmVanessaGuillen wishing that this restaurant was in Aruba… :) :)

A great place to get some local ethiopian food! Everything was freshly prepared and our host made sure it would be easy for us to pack up our leftovers. The fish was the best I’ve ever tasted! The honey wine is homemade and reasonably priced and the storefront has good prices on coffee, lentils etc. Support a small business!

The food is very good and the staff is extremely nice. The food is not like chef prepared food. This is more like home cooking and so much better than what chefs generally produce.

They were really attentive to the customers. We had coffee and some munchies. The samosas were great. Very evenly fried and with just the right amount of stuffing.

Really lovely to stop by and take a break. Had tea and coffee and pastries here with my mum before an appointment. Its a locally-owned business so it is really lovely to support. Would recommend 10/10 for both atmosphere and food/drink.

We like a lot to go out. Last night we went to this fine place which we didn’t know before. We spent a beautiful evening there with superb meal and a professional crew and a distinguished cook. We added this place in our list and we shall surely go again soon. We highly recommend.

This Restaurant serves Delicious Homemade Healthy Food!!!!The staff are kind courteous and efficient. We were served immediately. And waited maybe 7 minutes for our food. Our server was a very sweet woman who very patiently explained the food to us. My two teenage daughters and I had never been to an Ethiopian restauran . It was a Delight!!! DEFINATLEY NAMED PROPERLY. MANNA!FOOD FROM HEAVEN! I ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO GO ENJOY!

Its hard to find a lot of Vegan options and I was really happy with the options here. The food is outstanding. Good prices, the food is high quality and so far everything I have had has been so tasty.

I love Ethiopian food and my go-to place was closed, so I ordered takeout from Manna over the weekend. We ordered a combination platter and while the food was mostly good, the collard greens, my personal favorite usually, tasted burnt and very bitter (Id even say inedible) and the meat dishes were more pools of oil than actual meat. Packaging was also a huge problem since the styrofoam containers really arent meant to hold liquid, so even with someone holding it carefully in the car, it leaked everywhere into the bag. Injera was great, staff was very friendly, but I think reconsidering the containers for takeout would be a huge plus.

This place is amazing!!! Doubly so if you have food allergies, I am gluten free and went with a friend who is vegetarian. They have all kinds of options for both us, plus of course tons of meat options to keep the carnivores happy too. Everything is delicious! I loved the teff injera gf option too, will definitely keep going!

Stopped in just for some coffee and baklava and was very pleased. The lady who runs this place is positively lovely! She has such a warm, friendly air about her and just makes you feel good! Very clean and professional. Delicious baklava. Ill definitely be back.

This place is amazing! You will never want to go anywhere else after you come here! Im telling, you it is so good. The staff is great and very very friendly, they explain the whole menu to me and gave me suggestions on what to get.The food was magnificent, it was delicious!( I Recommend the shirro!) And the two little girls that were behind the counter were so adorable!!!!! I have never been to better restaurant than this one! If you want vegetarian food, they have it.If you want meat, they have it.If you want Hispanic food, they have it. They have everything you could dream of!

Really flavorful food. First time here. In used to family style but owner said leftovers last longer when done individually. She brought it out on a platter in such a way that we could do family style but still have great leftovers. Highly recommend.

I personally consider this to be a hidden gem of Centreville. While Im not convinced this is the best Ethiopian food in the northern Virginia area (yet), I certainly feel like its amazing for its price and Id recommend anyone looking for Ethiopian in the area to try here. Their bakery too, is a tremendous bang for your buck. For instance, their macaroons while again not the best Ive ever heard are still an incredible bargain. Definitely give Manna a shot if youre in the area.

The food here is super-fresh, with some of it coming from the owners farm (lamb, tomatoes, etc...). I am a huge fan of Ethiopian food. Most Ethiopian restaurants have good meats but the veggie dishes are so-so. Manna has the best veggie dishes I have had by far! The red lentil dish is superb- and the lamb is amazing! Gluten-free friendly too. Management is very kind and attentive.

The owner fixed me up a tasting menu for three people for dinner to take away. The food was amazing and the owner as friendly as can be. The deserts were also every good. Cant wait to go back!

Manna is a very unique restaurant. It has both Ethiopian food and Hispanic. I have only ever had the Ethiopian food. The lentils and the chicken tibbs are always on point and delicious. They also have a delicious macaroon. I always go for take out, but the actual seating areas are very informal and limited. Its always busy when I go in, so you know its good!

This is my favorite Ethiopian restaurant in the DC area. Everything is fresh and delicious. Many great options to choose from if you are vegetarian. I love how they serve the dishes in small plates with spoons rather than served overtop of the bread. It makes the food easier to eat and is not as messy.

An excellent introduction into Ethiopian food. We had a taste of just about everything they have to offer and the flavors are rich, deep, and at times surprising. The only warning will be dont go if youre in a hurry, it takes a little while to get food.

First off, the owner that served us is super fabulous! She came to us and literally walked us through the entire menu, asked preference question then made suggestions. She spent a great deal of time explaining everything. The presentation was spot on. This is of course followed by the best part!... The food was absolutely amazing. Amazing service and great food. This is a bit of unique experience--the food is spooned from bowls onto soft, spongey bread and is then eaten with your fingers. Its delicious. If you like Indian food, youll like Ethiopian. The spices used are similar.I recommend the honey wine, too. Its made in-house.

We are regulars at Manna. The Ethiopian food is great and the service is consistently top notch. Its also a small unassuming place which makes for conversation.

Cozy spot for great Ethiopian food! Loved the vegetarian combo I ordered. The lady who served us was very very friendly and allowed us to customize our order. The serving style was a little different from most Ethiopian restaurants Ive been to - we each got our own plates and the dishes came out in little bowls that we could spoon our dishes from into our own plates (as opposed to getting big plates with the dishes laid out on top of the injera). Would definitely go back (and regularly if I lived closer).

Best Ethiopian food around!Ive ordered take out many times and have sat down to dine in a couple of times as well.Their selection and food has always been great. They offer Hispanic food as well and it was delicious.Their bakery desserts are made fresh and in house. You can taste the quality of their desserts with selections such as tiramisu, tres leches cake, and macaroons.

I have been to Mannas Bistro and Bakery a few times. Their injera is always very fresh. The food reminds me of home cooked Eritrean, Ethiopian food that I have had , my Eritrean friends place- awesome.Service is very good, the place is run by two sisters, who are very polite, nice and courteous, without being intruding.They need to add some music and the place is golden. A little hidden gem tucked away. This place needs to be discovered by others. Will definitely recommend to others.
