Our vehicle broke down 400 miles away from home. We had three toddlers in the car, it was 110°F, there were no hotel vacancies for 100 miles (we called them all), every mechanic or shop we called was either closed for the evening or closed early due to heat, and a tow truck was at least a 6 hour wait. Fortunately, we had family only a couple hours away who borrowed a car to come rescue us for the night, and we dropped our vehicle off at Kresky late at night, not knowing anything about them other than they were the closest shop on the AAA list. Despite the extreme heat and a very busy shop, the folks at Kresky got our car fixed in just a couple of days, before a holiday weekend, so we could all get home and make it to work. They provided excellent service and a list of things for our mechanic at home to follow up on when we made it back. Thanks to everyone at Kresky for getting us home!

Friendly, got the work done in the time they said they would, cost was a bit above estimate, but within reason considering the job was slightly larger than originally thought. Saved me from busting up my fingers. 9/10. Update: just moved these folks to a full five stars, great follow up and a few side service s that really made it feel like they care. Ill be a return costumer!

I was out of town and my girlfriend took our car into this shop because she noticed a sound from her brakes after breaking hard earlier in the day. After 2 hours they sent her away telling her that they would email her?! 2 miles away from the shop an unrelated part, they loosened while doing a $5000 repair estimate, failed and my girlfriend and service dog were almost in an accident and I had to tow my car home. They finally emailed the quote after a month and a half(they intended her to have to come back immediately and authorize the work they said)I messaged back them about this and they just immediately dismissed the fact that they were working on parts they werent supposed to and tried to sell me back on their $5000 estimate. WOMEN BEWARE OF THIS SHOP

I waited some time before giving my review an the reason a giving 1 star is because there is no zero stars . I took my car for a power steering flush which they never did they only drain old fluid from the reservoir and put new so i can see it was clean, also they dont suppose to change nothing else other than what you ask for or ask you before doing so , they change the air filter that has nothing to do with the power steering and charge me $55.00 for it , not trusted place at all

I would give them 10,000 stars if I could. My car overheated across the street from Kresky after a close by chain oil change place broke the coolant hose fixture on my car. I cant believe how lucky I was to break down in that spot. They got me in immediately and went across town to get the piece needed to fix my car. Jim was honest, kind and most definitely became my hero that day. I will never take my car anywhere else.

When I went in I didnt have enough cash so they did my repair for free best repair shop Ive been too

Ive been bringing my cars here since I started driving. Over the years the quality and service has stayed consistently high. You the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. I like the ability to stay while the car is worked on, or they will drive you to work or home while the work is underway. Most important, they fix it right the first time. I highly recommend Kresky Auto.

Place is clean and front desk staff was friendly. End of good things to say. I brought my vehicle in as my dad trusted the name.At this shop however, nothing was to be admitted or trusted. Vehicle was having a few issues, so I took it in to have those issues checked out. The estimate was for more than 4k.Come to find out, they never checked out my vehicle at all. They said it needed a need master cylinder (over $70 + labor) and it was a wheel cylinder (7.99). Just an example.I will NOT be taking vehicle there again.

Kresky Auto Repair has been our shop for ALL of our vehicles since 1991! They have always been great to let us know whats needed now and what to watch for thats coming. Never high pressure sales, always safety first. Great work performance and they always stand behind all of the work they do!

I came to Kresky’s in need of at least new brake pads at the minimum. One positive note is that Kresky’s was able to service my car in a timely manner, which I appreciated. However after their inspection, I was recommended to replace my front brake pads, front rotors and front calipers for a price of $760!!!Due to Kresky’s estimated cost, I decided to only proceed with new brake pads and rotors. I was informed that I would receive NO warranty if I didn’t get the calipers replaced as they recommended.1 week after my repair at Kresky’s, my brakes started squeaking again that continued for 1.5 months.I finally went to another mechanic who informed me that I needed new rotors again just 1.5 months after my repair at Kresky’s with no mentioning of new calipers. I told this mechanic about what I was advised to do while at Kresky’s and he took me back to look at my calipers/rotors/brakes to look for myself. After showing and explaining he said my calipers are in good condition and not the source of my problem. He also suggested that Kresky’s resurfaced my rotors, but he said there was no way they were replaced 1.5 months prior due to their wear.So unfortunately I had to pay for these services again after less than 2 months due to the poor service I received at Kresky’s!! One positive is that the services I recently had to pay for were SIGNIFICANTLY more affordable AND I received a 2 year warranty without getting my calipers replaced.

Jim and his group are one of the most highly recommended auto repair shops here in the Twin Cities! Will get your car fixed properly and as soon as possible.
