Horrid. Simply trying to reorder kids contacts for lasten days. Trying to call while each time over half hour and no answer until corporate picked up and they hung up eventually. After gym late to work again calling and Waiting half hour I drove there and there was one customer being attended. No one waiting. I didn’t hang up and phone was not ringing. Receptionist was quick to hand me a mask and when complained she explained she was only a part timer and they have been busy. 4 workers and two customers in store! Asked her if I could get prescription and do online or something else and she said not really. Disgraceful!

I need someone to answer the phone not an apology or empathy.6/23/21:I have worn glasses for a long time and have purchased many glasses but I have never encountered such an unprofessional environment before. I went to pick up my glasses. I was asked to go to a desk at the back of the store, a very nice woman handed me my glasses. I put them on I looked in the mirror. They looked fine but because they were progressive lenses I needed something to read. I expected there would be an eyechart available. Instead I am handed some sort of checklist. She never checked the fit and never inquired about my familiarity with progressive lenses. I have never worn progressive lenses before. After my frustrations earlier in the day, I simply took my glasses and I went home to googled it. Customer service is nonexistent. I do not want to deal with them again but I will be forced to do so to get my contacts.I went to Davis Visionworks because they accepted my insurance. I arrived 10 minutes prior to my appointment and was promptly greeted. I was told that it would be a few minutes before I would see the Dr. I was taken in the back and they performed a few tests. I then walked back to the front of the store and given a tray to pick out frames as it was gong to be a few minute more minutes before I would see the Dr. I pocked out some frames and sat and waited. At the end of the day an exam that took less than 20 minutes morphed into a lot of waiting. Today I received a text message that my order was ready. I tried to call the store and was moved through an automated system that was not able to find me. I was then transferred to customer service. I asked them the only question that I had, Trial contact lenses were ordered as well as eyeglasses were ordered for me, are they both in? The Customer service rep was able to tell me that the glasses were in but could not find out if the lenses were in. I asked to speak to the store. I was placed on hold and she came back on and said there was no answer at the store. I asked her to try again, again no answer. She said she would send a message to have the store call me back. The store called me back and informed me that the glasses were in but not the contacts. I inquired about the difficulty in getting through to the office and was informed They dont have enough staff to answer the phones. So, when and if there is some kind of problem i can expect to spend hours waiting for a reply after spending time on hold. the I find that completely unacceptable and I am considering cancelling my order.

Worst customer service! They never pick up when you call them! It takes hours to do anything! Logging into the portal is a hassle and always a error! Trying to call to get prescription just to place a order online is a whole day long process! The younger lady at the front is extremely rude! The eye doctor is fast but barely answers your questions!

I been going to Davis Vision for 15 years, but this year I have the worst experience I ever had.I am not even sure the person did the exam was really doctor or not, but did the exam like in 30 second.When I got the text stating that my glasses are ready I made appointment and went to pick it up, person who tried to help couldnt find the glasses and she said its not here yet because UPS didnt make the delivery yet.Week later got another message about my glasses ready I went to pick it up again personal works there had dirty gloves on their hands and had a bad attitude. I got another text about my glasses ready and this time I went there without appointment and again personal had dirty gloves and same bad attitude, he looked into the system and said you dont have a appointment but I can give you the glasses, I said that will be great thank you, after asked my name 5 times he finally find the glasses and without checking it if its the correct glasses and see if needs any adjustment he throws the glasses on the counter and says here you go. I took the glasses out from its case and put them on and it I notice it was really loose, I asked him this how you were going to send me without making any adjustments than he took the glasses with attitude and said I will make the adjustment but you didnt have an appointment. People goes to this places not because they want to but because they had to, how could people can go to the palaces and how could we trust them with our eye care? What I experience was totally unacceptable.They tell the clients (patients) please whatever you touch dont put it back put them in the boxes, what about them they touch everything and they are touching your glasses and hand them to you without cleaning them.After going back again week later attitude of the staff hasnt changed. As of owner you are asking for phone number and email address so you can resolve the issue, in order for you to resolve the issue you can start training your staff about costumer service and they should know that if there is no customer there is no job. If the customer is not happy are going to refund their money back? I see that your response are all the same and nothing is getting done. Your staff made customers wait outside of the door because they were making a adjustment on one of the customer glasses right at the entrance. Dont they know there is people who works there for the make adjustments and they have stations for it? Answer is yes they do, and if they do why the are all act unprofessional. Like I stated last week I am not sure if the people are doing the eye exam are really doctor. How could we trust to go back when there is so many negative personality and uncaring people work in the place of health care.If I was the owner of the place I will take all the comments really serious , but it seems like you dont because if you loose couple of customer so what, there will be others, and if you think like that; that means no matter what the reviews say you will keep it going and reply with same comments as you do.

Worst place,if I didnt have to go there bc of my insurance I wouldnt. You can NEVER talk to a live person on the phone, instead you have to drive all the way there for something that could be handled if they just would answer their phones!!

Super helpful and nice. Especially Jennifer. She was nice and knowledgable, helpful and friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone. It was clean and all set up for social distancing which made me feel very comfortable. We were treated so kindly. My husband and I were both extremely happy with Davis Vision.

I understand life is crazy for retail employees right now, but the service here is unacceptable. I called because I had either an infection or an allergic reaction in both my eyes and I’ve been going to this optometrist for years. The website showed no available appointments but stated if you’re experiencing certain symptoms to call for an appointment. No one answers the phone. It took 3 days to get in touch with someone. When I finally got through and quickly explained I wanted to make an appointment with the optometrist because of my symptoms the receptionist stated “well I don’t have any appointments till October 31st.” I asked what I should do as I was uncomfortable and she told me “we don’t take medical issue appointments here you need to see your regular doctor.” I asked “for an eye exam?” She then told me to go to urgent care. If not dealing with medical issues is true, which I’m not sure it is, I don’t understand why she needed to be so rude. I then made an appointment online to get glasses because I couldn’t keep my contacts in, and walking into the store they snap “DO YOU HAVE AN APPOINTMENT? before you can even say hello.I can’t imagine worse service. Go somewhere else.

The current manager is absolutely obnoxious in attitude and personality. I cant even believe she is a manager. She makes working there for the other nice people unbearable. Get her OUT! I wont go back until she is gone.

I know it’s covid and I’m genuinely grateful places like this are still open but my appointment was at 4:20 and it’s now 7 o’clock and my sister and I are still here. The workers at the desk are very slow and not considerate of the customers, but the eye doctors and assistance when we got checked up were very nice and helpful. but i’ve been here for almost 3 hours now.

The most unorganized office I have ever seen in my life. I booked an appointment online about 3 weeks ago. So now, 3 days before my appointment I receive a call canceling my appointment because the appointment is during the doctors lunch hour. The next appointment is a month from now. You just cant make this stuff up. There has to be a way to give zero stars. So rather than address the issue you give the same exact response to everyone who complains about the horrible service.

ANSWER THE PHONE!!!!! Went here for a visit the doctor did not finalize my contact prescription SO I CANNOT ORDER ONLINE. I have been trying to call them for days they never answer the phone you stay on hold forever and no one ever calls you back so its impossible for me to get my contacts even though I paid for my visit and my prescription. The doctor that I saw rushed me through the entire visit, very disappointed. Ive gone here for a long time but I feel like Im being treated with complete disregard I think its time to change.

Great place for an eye exam! Affordable and decent frame selection too. The optometrists are very professional and efficient! Steve the optician was excellent in coordinating my contacts to perfectly adjusting my glasses.

I have been trying to get in touch with this office most of Monday morning and no one picks up the phone. I was there on Saturday for an appointment and was given a trial pair of contacts that I can not see with. I was told to call about the trial and have not been able to get anyone at this location to pick up the phone. I need to speak with someone about my issue. I am at work and unable to leave my office. They are the worse , They do not answer the phone! went for an eye exam almost a month ago ,ordered 2 sets of eye glasses -They never called me to tell me if they are ready for pick up- Trying to reach them by phone to see if my glasses are in -NO ANSWER. I been on hold for literally an hour with a recording msg saying to remain on the line!!! Made an online appointment in hopes that my glasses are ready for pickup when I dont have any idea if they are in or not. Worse place ever.

I saw Dr. Green and she was wonderful. A gentleman named Chris took it from there. I have gotten glasses in the past but Chris made the experience 5 star. He didnt just point me to the wall of frames but kept bringing me frames to try on. Stayed with me till the very end. Best experience ever. By far!!!

Unable to get them on the phone. Online appointment service told me my appointment was good and arrived in store to find No Appointment was made and was told our system sometimes does that Made appointment in store. Called to adjust appointment made in store, still unable to get anyone on the phone. Im done. Covid broke them. Already talked to a new doctor, was able to make an appointment this week and they have glasses also.

I recently got my first pair of glasses and was having some trouble adjusting to them. I stopped in today and saw the manager, Dr Hammer, and also Jennifer W. All 3 of them were so knowledgeable and helpful. However Jennifer treated me with a kindness that made me feel so comfortable. I feel like she went above and beyond and I truly appreciate that kind of attention.

My family and I have come to this Vision Works for years and have always had a positive experience. Today the representative I worked with, Stephen V, was simply AMAZING!! He walked me over to the glasses, explained what size glasses would work best for my shaped face, explained in detail the ins and outs of progressive lenses, and reviewed my bill in detail. He also answered my questions without hesitation. This was the BEST experience I have ever had! Thank you, Stephen! And, Vision Works for your knowledgable employees who go the extra mile. 😃

I always hated going to the eye doctor and would put off exams and picking out glasses for months on end. Finally switched to this place and am so pleased. I like that they let you be while you try on different pairs of glasses opposed to other places where they are behind the counter and your asking to try on different pairs. Everyone was also super friendly and helpful. Pleasant experience.

Staff was very unhelpful they were very slow and did not come up to me and my friend when we were looking at classes. The receptionist was rude and bratty when I asked her if I can ask some questions about the glasses. The guy who sat at one of the desks looked so bored and monotone that he just stood around while he was asking the receptionist questions about insurance. The riverhead one is so much better and have better customer service.Get out as soon as you can.

I heard great things about this place which is why I came here to get contacts but my experience was not good at all. The first time I went, they kept me waiting and the front desk girl didn’t even look in my direction to see why I was there. I don’t mind waiting but I had no idea what I was waiting for after I was seen my the doctor. The doctor I saw.. I think her name was Valentina.. she clearly hated her job which is fine but she could’ve answered me when I said ‘hello’ and ‘thank you’. She was very dismissive and just not friendly at all. No one there seems happy to be there. I got my prescription, ordered my first set of contacts and I won’t be going back.I did speak to one gentlemen about glasses, he was a younger guy but unfortunately I didn’t get his name. He was very pleasant and helpful but that alone will not get me to go back.

I had broken my glasses, and went to this store instead of where I bought them. The person who helped me was awesome. Her name is Jennifer she actually looked and was able to find my frames. She contacted medford to get my information and even had to change toner in your fax. Shes an asset to your company. Very accommoding customer service.

Front desk staff are nice and friendly. Also got the eye test done quickly. However, the doctor who performed the actual eye exam didn’t introduce herself, wasn’t very detailed, very quick and dismissive. Last place I went to offered to test for glaucoma, etc. Didn’t get that here. After she finished, she said I have a slight astigmatism but I don’t have to worry too much (I have glasses currently but they were a few years old). After I was done, I got walked to the front desk. And the woman told me to sit down. I waited for 20 minutes or so. Finally got called over by a guy who seemed to be having a bad day, which is fine, but I don’t expect to have it taken out on me. We sat down and he asked me why I was waiting. And I told him that someone told me to sit and wait, so I assumed it was for a reason? He went on to say he doesn’t feel that I really need glasses but I can go pick out sunglasses. I responded that I’d rather be safe and get a prescription that was recommended by the doctor and replace my older pair. Throughout the whole process, he kept making remarks about how I don’t need to get glasses if I don’t want to. Even made a joke about me using them for fashion purposes? Which is ridiculous. I could tell he just didn’t want to assist and was hoping I’d just leave. Anyway, probably last time I’m going here unfortunately.

The girl at the front desk with the pony tail just needs to be fired. She has no sense of customer service. I went in with an issue with my eye. Since I have been going in for years now. She goes we’re busy! I can send you to another vision works. I stated well I drove from work here so I really need to see an eye doctor I’m willing to wait. Or can you recommend someone near by? She’s like no I can only send u to a visionworks. and the doctor is already backed up. If a customer is willing to wait you should really accommodate a little bit or Atleast ask someone else SHE JUST SAID NO STRAIGHT UP. WHen I asked her to please check she rolled her eyes and stomped off in the back. Came back a second later and said there is no appointment! if you have an emergency go to the hospital ! RIDICULOUS ! I have a complicated prescription and the last place I went to was At Smith Haven mall and they couldnt get it right. Ended up paying $600 for glasses I couldnt see out of. I waited several years to try again because my last experience was so frustrating and a big waist of money. Davis told me they would make sure its right even if they have to try different lenses or even frames. They were wonderful. Replaced the lenses for HD to increase the field of vision. Always friendly and courteous. I would strongly recommend them to anyone.

Someone set me an appointment at 6pm Saturday. I went there and found they closed at 4pm Saturday. I called to reschedule and the lady on the phone was rude and blamed me for this mistake! I feel the one in setauket is much better.
