I worked there and honestly, I felt so bad for the patients, unfortunately, the patients didn’t have many Selections so they had to come to Apria. Apria would often lack cleaning the rental Materials even after they were received by covid patients, the higher-ups were very selfish and would short us on our p claiming they would fix it ( never did). We would often have to be forced to lie to patients about their equipment and the longevity of it out of fear of losing our jobs, I personally do not recommend this place to patients or future candidates It’s a awful place that sadly doesn’t care about the lives of the patients nor their employees I hope one day it’ll change, but definitely not with the higher ups that are currently there.

If I could give this organization zero stars I would. I have been trying to get in touch with them for over a month. My doctor has faxed them several times regarding the matter. We get no response. I have waited on hold for long periods of time to never speak to a soul. Left messages to never get a call back. I even called another location who just transferred me back to this location. All I want them to do is come get their stuff. I pray I never have to deal with this organization again.

There is nothing that Apria does right. Recently, they were supposed to ship an adapter to me 10 days ago (from less than 5 miles away!) and last Friday they said it was scheduled for delivery last Friday. Its Tuesday. Yesterday, they said there is no tracking number. Huh? They called me for payment a while ago. They could NOT tell me for what though. The charges seemed random, never the same... I asked them about the payment I had made a month earlier. Oh yes, it appears as a credit and was NOT APPLIED to my balance. HUH? If your life depends on Apria, I am sorry for you. We wont even go into their HIPPA violation a year ago, delivering the wrong persons device to me... OK?

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. If you have no other choice, make sure you keep a record of EVERYTHING because they essentially run a huge scam. There are no words to communicate how horrible this company truly is, and it’s shocking they still offer services. My whole family had Covid-19 and we were sent home with oxygen machines from a different company, Apria took it upon themselves to essentially steal the machines from our home, even though they had a massive logo representing their rightful company, and we received a 6,000$ bill from the company the machines belonged to. We were put in contact with the manger for Apria’s centennial CO location, Sheila, she was combative, arrogant, and incompetent. I have never dealt with such a horrible manager, she aggressively insisted that her company did nothing wrong, interrupted me several times, I actually had to end the conversation because all she could offer was instigating a screaming match, I have never raised my voice at a customer service agent until our conversation. For months I suffered severe emotional distress from this situation, In the end we had to go through a long process and file a grievance, low and behold Apria had the company’s machines. After Shelia had contentiously denied her company’s involvement, and refused to take responsibility they were able to mysteriously find the machines. Avoid this company, and if necessary keep a record to protect yourself from their ineptitude, 0 stars is an appropriate rating.

I received a bill from Apria that was incorrect. I verified with my insurance company what the copay should be. I have spent 3 hours on the phone to try to get this resolved. I wish there was a way to give 0 stars. As the time I am writing this I am still on the phone waiting to get this resolved. I have the insurance company on the line with them and they are saying that things were denied by insurance even though the insurance company said they were paid and provided the Authorization # The customer service rep was flustered and kept putting us on hold. Truly have no clue what is going on. To make matters worse after over 3 hours of trying to get this resolved the Apria Customer Service Representative hung up on me!!!! Terrible customer service!!!! Will NOT be a customer after this is resolved!!! Will also be filing a complaint with the Division or Insurance and the BBB!

First of all I wish I didn’t need their service and supplies! Unfortunately was hospitalized and discharged needing oxygen temporarily. The day of my discharge the oxygen was requested by Kaiser and was promptly delivered before I got home from hospital. A few days later called to request additional new cylinder oxygen . The representative said they don’t deliver an same day basis.....it has to be for tomorrow. She never even offer a 4 hour window frame time or anything. Called the next next ( day of delivery) to check on my portable oxygen request. I figured I would for my approximate ETA for my oxygen cylinders , Ashley nicely asked me what would be my 4 hour preference? At that point I said , wished they would have offered this to me yesterday! She apologized and send a message request to the driver , for RUSH !! I’m still waiting, called again and got Tammy who kindly said, they couldn’t guarantee delivery by Today ! At that point I was like , it’s not except able people rely on oxygen to breath ...... at that point I knew I was at their mercy and had say so ! After reading all the negative reviews, I decided to follow their lead , will this help their service??? Unfortunately I don’t know ? I need to start looking for other reputable companies that provide outstanding and caring service! The crazy thing my husband had been using them for his CPAP supplies and had never had an issue !

1 star because I have to. This is boarder line senior abuse. My mother had a bed fulfilled by their office and confirmed that her insurance covered the bed that she needs. 1 year later... yes 1 year! She received a phone call from Carolina at the centennial office saying it was charged incorrectly and that she would correct the paperwork and submit it. She said all is well and not to worry. That is the only help we have had and this has been months since we have heard back from anyone! We are at the point we have a medical advocate helping us resolve this. Now almost daily my mother is threatened to have Apria show up at the house to take the bed... I have had multiple conversations and my mother has dealt with this for months and months, almost daily. No one will get back to us and no one is correcting the incorrect insurance charge. Horrible customer service and I would never recommend them to provide any care or supplies to you. Please have an advocate or a family member to help you with this business. Had a hospital bed from Apria for one month dropped off and picked up on scheduled dates. Bed was picked up December 14th 2020 but today I got a letter saying I still have the bed and all the equipment and it insists that I return something that has already been returned. There were problems with the delivery and the pickup. The drivers did not come equipped with booties and the pickup came out of schedule 3 hours early and he didnt take one of the bedrails with him. I escalated delivery issues to management, but never received a call back. I also had crutches from them back in February that were delivered to the wrong address and I had problems retrieving them yet Apria billed me aggressively for the crutches even though I didnt have them. Apria gives poor customer service and no accountability for their actions. Apria contracts with my insurance company but next time Im going to refuse anything from this company and pay out of pocket to get services from another company.I also dealt with Apria in the past and the customer service delivery was poor and I was treated rudely. I thought by now they would have changed, especially because most people rate them with a one star. Apria has so many negative reviews thats a sign to stay away. When I called this evening they admitted that the letters are just sent out because some patients try to keep their equipment. The woman named Brandy who I spoke to on the phone said that I should just throw the extra bedrail away because they dont need it. I told her they need to come pick it up. I have signed paperwork showing that they picked up their bed and I surrendered it to them.

The only reason for a 1 is I cant give a zero. What horrific customer service. I have an ongoing issue I keep trying to get a supervisor to return my call because the agents have no clue what they are trying to discuss with you. SO far, 4 supposed Supervisor calls promised back to me and not 1 supervisor response. Apparently something in my bi-pap machine changed and not one word from Apria. Now they are trying to bill me hundreds of dollars for phantom charges and no one can explain why. My next step is legal action so my credit does not take a hit. I have no sympathy anymore. When I can find another provider, I will be moving quickly. It is quite obvious Apria has no customer service assistance and looking at their nationwide reputation, I cant see any future for them. It is a real shame because Apria used to be #1 for me and never had any issues until the last few years. They were extremely helpful and always ready to assist their customers. I have never seen a fall this far this fast from a reputable company. It is a shame they take their customers who rely on them for services and goods and turn them into adversaries.

If a hospital or Healthcare provider gives Apria as an option, demand an alternative or run, because this company gives absolutely horrendous service. I dont have a single good thing to say about them. They will only come between the hours of 11pm and 2am; what a joke. I called two days in a row before 4pm, both times I was told a service person would come soon, but I wouldnt get a call until 11:30pm. How is this acceptable?!? My mother had major surgery and needed oxygen immediately for when shes sleeping, yet your horrible customer service is so apathetic about the fact that they are dealing with PATIENTS to do anything about it. If someone had a serious respiratory condition, this company can easily get into much bigger trouble simply due to negligence. But I guess since they dont really have competition, they THINK they can do whatever they want. If youre so short-staffed, perhaps pay your workers a little bit more, since I know for a fact that these companies mint money and can easily afford to do so. I can tell that you guys dont train your employees well due to their lack of interest or care for what is supposed to be an extremely important and time-sensitive job. I hope this company really learns from its mistakes

I received a bill in November 2019 for some equipment I ordered in May 2019. I ordered a year supply of CPAP supplies - only because the agent on the phone suggested it and said insurance would pay for it. Between myself and my insurance company we’ve called NUMEROUS times to try and get some compensation for this bill. Every time we call, the agent at Apria has told us that they’ve escalated it internally and it will be resolved in 5-7 business days. I, once again, with my insurance rep, called on March 31 and was given the typical “Call back in 5-7 days” runaround only this time I requested Apria call me back out of good customer service. They also said Apria doesn’t charge late fees but the amount on my statement has changed since I first received it - their statements are also not itemized and are pretty much useless. It has now been over 8 business days and I still haven’t received a call back and I still have a balance on my online account. I would be fired if I provided my customers with this poor of customer service.

Now I am on my fourth try to get the correct carry case for my D size tank. Speaking to the customer service reps is difficult as they cannot seem to understand what you need/want. So yes, stay as far away from this company as you can. Youll have less stress that way.Update:Two days ago an Apria representative actually called me to clarify what I truly needed,. Was I surprised! He spent a lot of time making sure I was getting the proper supplies I had tried to order. Today I received the package and it is exactly what I needed. So I have amended my stars to three. I was scared due to all the reviews I read, and it admittedly tainted my experience. I was expecting the worst. However, Apria (contracted through Kaiser) called promptly following their receipt of the order for an O2 machine with a humidifier attached for evening use only. An Apria employee delivered the machine shortly after. (They initially had my name spelled wrong, and then the delivery person wrote both my name and address wrong. He said it was a new machine, but later said it had some 900 hours on it, so it wasnt new.) I realized after he left that there was no humidifier attached to the device, and the service person had not mentioned it. When I called this morning, they said that it was an attachment that was being sent by Fed-Ex. So all is well. There are some communication snags and it seems like the workers have to dig through their system to find answers, but it all went well. At every juncture, they did ask if there was anything else they could help me with.Im updating this. Apria read my review today and immediately called to see what they could do. Now thats good customer service. Im actually impressed. Few companies actually do that!

If given the option of using Apria Healthcare again or dying because I don’t have oxygen, I would probably take dying. I believe the scammers from eBay provide better customer service and products. How this company is still in business is beyond me. Their customer service is horrible. I have spent over 6 hours on the phone with them trying to get oxygen for our newborn. They routinely missed delivery windows, or not delivered at all. They have been unable to update our insurance provider when I have told the last 8 people I have talked to our insurance information is not correct. I am not sure I have ever dealt with a worse company. In the end this review with accomplish nothing. You need oxygen, your doctor/insurance will use Apria and in the end they will provide you with the same nightmare experience they have provided me. My advice to you before ever calling them is to get drunk. It is the only way to survive the experience. Trust me.Just finished our final oxygen process with Apria. I spent approximately 30 minutes on the phone with a representative who again quoted the wrong insurance provider. After going back and forth with him that it was for equipment pick up and that a script was sent by the doctor he finally “found” it. The next day for pick up they called my wife who went back and forth with the representative about it being a pick up and not a delivery. After repeated attempts to tell the representative it was for pick up, the representative said...”let me check. I will call you back” and hung up the phone. I figured Apria needed a positive review, so here it goes... First, my husband has been using Apria for several years for his nighttime CPAP consumables. We’ve only had a single problem with them. The resolution to that problem wasnj’t exactly satisfactory, but still, it was only one problem...I can deal with that.On the other hand, I’ve recently required supplementary oxygen. I became ill while visiting a friend in Albuquerque and needed to get home where I’d be set up with home oxygen. The apria store in Albuquerque brought me a concentrator to the hospital within hours of being called. I was impressed with their speed and their friendliness. When I arrived home, the store here came out the same night and set up my home oxygen - and I didn’t have to call and request anything. They coordinated everything. I was really impressed.Further, last week I had a doctors appointment where they restarted my oxygen. A depressing thing, no doubt, but they were at my house with everything I needed within hours.I’m sure they’re not perfect - no human is - but I think that, given the hundreds of new orders they receive every week from all the hospitals and doctors in the area, they’re doing a great job. I really have little to complain about.Having said that - as you read your reviews - remember that people with poor experiences are the ones who feel compelled to share their story. People who receive great service expect it and don’t feel a need to share. As you read stories about a bad experience someone had somewhere - consider how many good experiences aren’t being shared in the same place. I’ll stick with Apria.

He gave me a new mask and said this was the most popular that I should check it out and let him know if it doesnt work. I took it home and it didnt fit. I went back to get a new mask and Chris said he was unable to take it back because it touched my nose. I asked why he sent me home with it to see if it works. He said he would try to order me a new one and I should receive it in 10 days. It has been three weeks and I havent received anything and he wont call me back. I bet he is getting sleep at night!

My insurance has a new requirement for prior authorization before they pay for CPAP machine and supplies. I called their customer service to give them the number to call to get prior authorization. The woman I spoke to was completely incompetent. She had no idea what I was talking about, and didnt even know how to start. I had to ask her to look up my account, and tell her when they filed the claim. I had her record the number for prior authorization on my account. Then she tells me that they are unlikely to call it at all. Evidently a different department handles this. She was going to just record the number with no explanation until I asked her to put a note with it explaining what it is for. At the moment, I have pending claims, and Im just waiting for them to be rejected by my insurance and for Apria to stop sending supplies, or send us a bill. Wasted 15 minutes, and expect to waste many more soon.

Today was an even worse experience with customer service hell - I unfortunately had to order some supplies. I ordered them online the other day, they have my card on file, figured everything was fine...NOPE!Got a message from them marked urgent, called them back, 1st person had no idea why they called. He said I had a balance that had been sent to collections for over $1000! I said that was supposed to have been wiped out because it was their mistake. He sent me to billing - on hold for over 15 minutes, had to hang up.Called again, asked for billing, eventually talked to someone who could only see 3 months of statements so they were sending me to upper billing. No clue who they are cuz they never picked up. Their original mistake was all of a sudden charging me $100/month rent on a CPAP machine Ive had since 2009! When I found that out and called them they said oh, youre not a cash customer? oops. Apparently never fixed it and sent it off to collections. Guess I get to spend my morning on hold with Apria. My last comment to them will be CANCEL MY ACCOUNT!!!!!

Absolutely horrible!!! One of the worst businesses Ive even done business with. I walked in at 1:35 and all I was doing was picking up a machine. I was the ONLY person in here. Its 2:01 and Im still waiting here and four other patients have come and gone. Ive been pretty polite so far but am losing patience. This is my first review but about my 50th bad experience with this horrific company. Now 2:05 and they claim someone is coming to see me. And no....no one has an appointment. 2:08 and counting.

For the last two 2 years I have been receiving phone calls for delivery, service and billing for an Apria patient. I always tell Apria that they have the wrong phone number and was once Givin the patients name and learned that their phone number was one digit away from mine. I keep receiving the phone calls used to confirm and allow delivery, but after more than 20 hours on the phone to outsourced phone centers in India I have been unable to get this company to correct their information and correctly contact their patient. Everytime I ask to speak to a super visor I get put on hold indefinitely or hung up on. I now have more than enough data for a HIPPA violation and will be filing that this week so that hopefully they will contact their actual pantients. Just FYI HIPPA violations cost on average $10,000+. I will drop my claim if you fix your system.Edit: after more run around the patients name is something like Hong Nguyen. First name is a guess based off of a phone call while the last name is a common one. I only post this information to provide a public record. I have all of my phone logs and conversations (Colorado is a single party consent state).

I would very much like to give 0 stars like the others. Customer service is non-existent. Hold times are ridiculous and when you do talk to a person they are rude and provide little help. I tried repeatedly to schedule service and that took 6 months. Because of Insurance I could not change providers, but given the choice I would go with someone else!! Unfortunately, because their is little choice of providers I dont think Apria is too worried about the need for making improvements.

I would gladly give Apria ZERO stars if I possibly could. WORST company EVER! In March they showed up to take away my oxygen without notifying me and without the doc approving it. My doc ordered another nighttime pulse ox test at that time to make sure I still needed it. Its now May and I have battled Apria to get this taken care of. First they claimed my doc didnt send over the order. He mailed it, faxed it, and called it in. I then called and got a different fax #. That worked, but they still didnt call me to set it up. I have called at least 20 times to the main number and put in the extension code for the person I am supposed to talk with. That extension says its going to Valerie, but the voice mail doesnt belong to Valerie. Its some Melissa person. I dont know how I got lucky this time, but Melody answered the line this time, and she promised me that I will have my nighttime oxygen test tomorrow on my doorstep and then picked up again on Wednesday with results to the doc right after that. Im tired all the time and wake up with headaches constantly. I use my CPAP machine religiously, but I know I need the O2, well. Please help me, Apria!

APRIA HEALTHCARE IS WORSE THAN A CPAP.Lady at the local branch obviously has zero training on the CPAP. Told me The heater is for those cold nights. Had no idea what the humidity setting did. Five minutes spent reading online and I had far more knowledge. Customer service and ordering is done from the Philippines, and that is a circus at best. Company was sending supplies to a house I lived at 15 years ago (No idea how they got that address, I know I didnt give it to them.), and then they sent me the wrong supplies once they had the correct address. Then they said they couldnt send me the correct supplies because my insurance had already paid for my supplies for the quarter. I finally gave up and went to call the local branch to return my CPAP today, but no one answers the phone there. Spent 25 minutes on hold to actually talk to a person to arrange the return of device today. REALLY, REALLY BAD COMPANY.

Read every single review and BELIEVE them ALL! Poor customer service is seriously an understatement. These people are playing with peoples LIVES! From my first interaction with their liaison JOEY - he came in with a broken valve on the oxygen equipment. Which should have been my first clue. Then once he goes back and gets a replacement, proceeds to guide me with assurity to give him a call on his cell as soon as I get home so one of their drivers can drop off a home oxygen unit. Well I got home just before 6pm - called Joey and left a msg. He called back within 15-20 minutes (this was the ONLY thing that was done right - well it was just a front because he said he spoke to the Denver branch -one hes claimed to have not worked with - and spoke to the driver who claimed he was loading the truck with my unit and should be on their way in 30 or so minutes and that the driver WOULD call me. When I asked Joey for the drivers name so I knew who to expect...he couldnt even give me one! Basic common sense and customer service is - Paying attention to details and follow through! Fast forward...Well an hour went by and nothing. No drop off, no call. I called Joey- no answer, left message. Another hour goes by, I call customer service which they should rename, customer run around because when telling the rep of my concerns she was beyond indifferent and extremely non-helpful. I should state that prior to my speaking to her - when going through the automated system- my phone number wasnt even recognized in order for a delivery estimate to be offered! The CSR kept giving me half assed answers - all indirect and deflective of what I was asking her - basically rebuttal go-tos of the customer service profession. She gave me a general blanket statement that it is the drivers choice on whether or not he gives a courtesy call to customers prior to drop off. Mind you its 830pm at this point and Im a single mom with young ones and they honestly feel its Ok to show up AT NIGHT without notifying the customer. Fast forward- I wait another hour and call back to ask for a manager - which there rep tried to triage that call too. After 25 minutes on the phone - i get a manager she gives me the runaround too. By this time, Im livid! And of course she was absolutely of zero help as well. Claimed to ve filing a customer complaint on my behalf which could take 48 hours to process?! REALLY?! ITS 11PM AS I TYPE THIS AND STILL NOTHING! MEANWHILE IM NOT SLEEPING BECAUSE IM DISTRAUGHT ABOUT MY 9 YEAR OLD NOT HAVING HIS OXYGEN SO HE CAN BREATHE! If anyone is interested in filing a class action law suit - please reach out to me. As a former social justice advocate and community organizer - IM BEYOND READY FOR THIS FIGHT!I seriously wished Id looked at reviews before making them my decision but when this place is a company of SUGGESTED providers - you think theyre reputable and have some basic integrity tactics! No. Wrong. I have contacted the hospital to make other arrangements and to find me another company as well as file a formal complaint with patient advocates and a release manager to advise that they should no longer be associated with APRIA because their reputation is diminshing AND the possibility of lawsuits for toying with peoples LIVES!This isnt like someones car needing repairs where alternative solutions of getting around are present... this is OXYGEN AND PEOPLES LIVES!DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!! AND READ ALL THE COMMENTS BECAUSE NONE ARE A LIE!They dont deserve any stars.Update: at 11:30pm I get a call from someone named SCOTT who says they just dropped off the tanks at my front door because it was dark...wrong, Ive been up typing this! AND I answered his call!! Bottom line...They didnt bother knocking. The kicker? I STILL DONT HAVE THE UNIT TO PUT THESE HUGE TANKS INTO! And they claim theyll call me at 12 noon tomorrow to take care of this...irony is - if I hold my breath on THAT promise - they wouldnt even get here on time or even at all witj oxygen to revive me!!!

Awful service and not even worth 1 star!I am a Kaiser sleep therapy patient and I am speaking about the toll-free number that I am made to deal with. They make you hold on the phone for a minimum of 30 minutes then when they speak to you they are pretentious and uncaring. No one at Apria so far has ever done what they said they would. In my case, its a simple CPAP mask warranty exchange, and they cant figure out how to do that. Then today, they told me that I will need to make a co-insurance payment. I gave them my credit card info even though I know thats wrong because a warranty exchange should not involve payment. However, I just want a different mask so that I can sleep better. Last I checked, thats what Apria is there for. Its too bad that nobody I have spoken to so far is feeling the same way.
