They do not take cash or split payments. Jeff said that she must be broke loud enough for the entire waiting room to hear. I am not broke. I am a waitress who carries cash until I deposit it. Speaking about your customers like that is rude and very I unprofessional. I have money in many places and unfortunately they think Im broke because I needed to split payments. They also tried to charge me $200 for a new battery. No honest. Will not recommend them to anyone.

Theo shop is in Littleton and a little bit of a drive for me, but I truly believe that building a relationship with your car guy is important, and Darrell and his staff are the guys to do that with. Finally!! An automotive repair shop you can TRUST! Ive been going to and getting screwed over by car shops all my life and so Im always hesitant on taking my vehicles to anyone outside of the family/friends that I used to have that could work on my vehicles. I dont have those people to be around anymore and had to pick a place to get my car looked at and fixed. I did TONS of research and Hinsdale came up as the highest rated, most trusted repair shop around! And of course I know that reviews can also be conjured up by companies so I was still a little cautious. But I Am SO Happy To Say That I Finally Struck Gold! Not only are the staff the friendliest, most down-to-earth people, but theyre extremely knowledgeable about vehicles (not just hired for the job like some other places) and the service is quality and done as quickly as possible! Theyre also extremely communicative, detailed within that communication, and they keep up with it even after your service, and also dont try to make up things that are wrong with your vehicle and overcharge you. So if youre looking for what automotive repair shops SHOULD be then just park it here and you wont regret it! A fricking sigh of relief.

I had a mechanic from another service tell me my rear differential was bad on my 2013 BMW X3. When I took my vehicle into Hinsdale, they could’ve easily said it was the same problem and charged me an arm and a leg to make this repair. Turns out it was only a wheel bearing. They made the repair quickly after it was diagnosed. Thanks Hinsdale for being honest and doing the right thing!

Not only did they charge less for a diagnostic than 2 other shops (like significantly less) they correctly diagnosed the problem as a $300 repair rather than a $3000 repair another shop tried to sell. I recommend this shop to everyone, their guys are friendly and professional on top of being honest and reasonably priced.

I took my 07 Jeep SRT8 in to get work done under my warranty. Water pump, CV Joint, Lower Control arm bushings. Ended up having to get the wheel assembly replaced and a new rim as well. And these guys did a awesome job! I dont remember everyones names. But Darrell and Trevor are super cool guys, awesome to chat with as well as everyone else there that I talked to. Ive taken my cars here a couple of times and never feel Im getting upsold or given anything but the straight truth. Unlike many other places Ive taken my cars to recently. And the work has always been done well and on time. Its nice to find a local garage you feel comfortable calling if you run into problems. They have even skipped doing repairs and sent me back to the dealership when something was supposed to be covered by the manufacturer. I greatly appreciate the honest.

Took Auto in for diagnostics, check engine light on, informed it was a wiring issue, after work was done, than get a call telling me it is something different and wanted to charge even more money. Bottom line is dont take your vehicle here. Got charged 300.00 for something that probably wasnt the issue in the first place and that job did not look very professional to splice a couple wires together and my vehicle remains barely running with the check engine light on still. Am going to have to take it in and get a second opinion now. What a waste of time and money.

Hinsdale Automotive theyve been very good to me. Ive been there twice now, they were very nice to me let me know exactly what was going on with my car. They gave me a discount on my first service. On my second service they used the hose that I purchased to fix one of the lines from my radiator which made me feel pretty good. I couldnt say more about the owner and his son. Ill definitely will go back. The Hinsdale family looked out for me, they gave me a ride to my job gave me a ride home that was nice, something I knew they didnt have to do.

Highly recommend! We had received an outrageous quote from another shop stating that we needed a new engine. Hinsdale inspected our vehicle and found that was not the case, saving us almost $3,000 in repairs. Our vehicle was serviced very quickly and is running great. Ive worked with the owner, Darrell Weddell, for many years and always had a great experience. Darrell has always been intelligent, up front, honest, and committed to excellent service at a fair price. Ive had him work on a 1998 AMG Hummer, a 1991 Honda Civic, and a 1999 Ford Mustang and, as one who favors getting the job done right rather than fast, Ive always been highly satisfied. In addition, with my vehicles being somewhat older than average they tend to develop a lot of strange/obscure/intermittent problems. Darrell always takes the time to listen while I try to describe the problem and its, often difficult to describe, symptoms. Hes my go to mechanic.Having said that, its only fair that I relate my most recent experience. I should reiterate that I usually deal with Darrell directly and drop my vehicle off at his house which is _much_ closer to me than the shop which is way down south. However, with my most recent issue (new tires for my car) I arranged everything with Darrell by phone, but had to take the car to the shop myself. Darrell had assured me the tires would be there the day before my appointment but when I arrived the person at the front desk (Jeff?) said my tires hadnt come in yet. To his credit, after I told him Darrell had assured me the tires would be there, he proceeded to pursue the matter and eventually found that they _had_ come in. From there on out everything proceeded smoothly. Admittedly, we _are_ in the middle of the whole COVID-19 mess so _everything_ is a bit messed up. Nevertheless, if this had been my first experience with this shop Im sure I would have given it a much lower rating but, given my long history with Darrell and knowing his commitment to excellent service, honesty, and fair pricing Im sure this was an anomaly. I have no difficulty recommending this shop to family and friends.

But they were able to tow it and fix her up in a timely fashion. She actually runs better now than ever before! Darrell and the team over at Hinsdale are great guys who take care of you no matter what you bring to them. I recently upgraded from a 10 Scion tC to a subaru WRX and they found some things the dealership missed. Like a MISSING BOLT ON MY BRAKE CALIPER. This is the best automotive shop I have dealt with in 40 years! Theyre very thorough. We recently had an issue with the satellite radio module in our 2009 Mercedes and Chad was able to procure another one and then spent a lot of time talking to Sirius, trying various things until he got it working. Also had a squeak in the car that Chad was able to pinpoint and fix. Highly recommend!

The staff are extremely friendly and inviting,not once did I feel pressured to buy anything, the work I had done was extremely reasonably priced, and they gave me suggestions for things to consider fixing in the near future. I was highly recommended to Darrell from a close friend and gave him the opportunity to work on my humvee. I thought that some of the issues were fixed but they were not repaired correctly and caused me to have to have them fixed again elsewhere. Darrell also broke several of the components on the interior due to he was not familiar with them and didnt take the time to investigate how to remove the components correctly without pulling off wires and breaking AC components. When I addressed this with him, he blamed the people who built the truck. But didnt offer to fix them. He had to remove the passenger seat to access the batteries and broke off the bolts that were holding the seat on and replaced them with lessor quality screws. The differential was suppose to have the leak fixed and it still leaks, One of the half shafts, he supposedly fixed came loose causing more problems. Basically I spent way to much money to have my truck fixed only to have to spend it again to fix the same things. I would not trust him to work on my Humvee ever again. Sadly because he seems like a nice guy. He is very high on his labor rate as well.
