Just know before walking in this will be the worst decision of your adult life. You’ll be in debt beyond recovery for the next 5/6 years. Once you sign on the “video recorded contract signing” lol... you’re done as a customer to them, except for your payment due date of course!! Zero... sales, service or financial help from JD or CNAC. They all seem to have taken the same -tell you a lie training class! Long story short, this is not your last option to have a vehicle!! Keep looking, go outside Cedar Rapids and LOOK! Stay away or you’ll have the same situation I have. A 3800 car I paid 16 for and financed to pay 24. This was my decision obviously but the car turned to be trash!! I mean trash! In the shop 4 times inside a year with no warranty help or business help to get into at least a better car with the same horrific numbers even, at least give me one that drives! NOTHING... it’s all on you when you leave that interrogation/contract signing room! I know I want put them out of business, but if I can save one terrible, terrible car deal from one person...I’m gonna try it! STAY AWAY!

I haven’t had a good experience with buying a car at this location. The vehicle I bought, the motor went out on it, in July 2020. I purchased the vehicle May 2020. I had to have my vehicle towed to the dealership for repairs, out of my own pockets. This should’ve been something that was caught during their guaranteed inspection. My vehicle has been at Byrider to be fixed for over a month and it’s October 22, 2020! So nothing really good to say.

Craig and the entire staff were awesome! He was helpful and friendly. They made my purchase simple and easy. I would recommend him and this company to anyone trying to buy a car!

Taking my son to get his first car and help build his credit has been the worst experience I have ever had when buying a car. Now I’m not gonna put my age on here but I have bought. Few cars in my day... I have never had the problems within the first 60 days of owning any of my cars!! I mean not one and I have had some older cars in my day. In the first week the headlight went out, the heat didn’t work when we test drove it we told them about it and they still didn’t do anything about it. Then as my son is driving home on one of the coldest nights we had all winter his tire blows out, we can’t get a tow service to come fix it. We leave it along the road and come back the next day to change out the tire and it’s dead. So we have it towed to JD Byrder, when they look at it and “fix” what’s wrong. They call to inform us of the issue and tell me it was the battery and that they changed it out. They take the blown tire off the rim put the rim in the trunk and put the donut on. Call is and tell us it’s ready for pick up. So he picks it up. After finding out what all has transpired in a lil upset. A headlight, 2 new tires, a battery, and the heater in less than 60 days. I speak to the General manager who must think I’m stupid and kno nothing about buying cars or cars in general. The tires that were on the back were manufactured in 2013 which means they should not have been still on that car!!!! As when my son got his tires they told him the other tire would blow too as it was cracked. Supposedly he was only told that so they could sell him they tires and it doesn’t matter the year of the tire you can drive them until they blow according to the manager..... He had no care in the world that this car was driven off the lot in an unsafe condition and could have potentially killled my son had be been on the highway going 65 or more!!!!I didn’t want my son to get his car from them in the firSt place as I have never heard anything goood about them but that was our only option for him to build his credit since he didn’t have any being fresh out of high school.I DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE PEOPLE AT ALLWE ARE ALSO STILL WAITING FOR HIS REGISTRATION AND PLATES WHICH THE PAPER TAG IN HIS WINDPW SAYS THEY SHOULD HAVE HERE BY 2/9/21THEY RANK RIGHT UP THERE WITH MCGRATH’sT.D

I bought my car from them in December of 2018. The buying experience was great, and the in house financing department has been tremendous. I work with John and he’s been super easy to work with. I ran into a few weeks where I lost my job and fell behind on payments, and John did everything in his power to help me make sure I was able to stay on top of my payments once I got caught back up. For car buyers who maybe don’t have the best credit and struggle at other dealerships. I recommend JD.

I’d like to give zero stars, my husband and I are buying 2 vehicles from the Cedar Rapids location and was very happy with the first purchase then came the second purchase, very disappointed in the vehicle that we have had nothing but problems with since the day we drove it off the lot, we notified jd byrider right away about the electrical problems going on and basically was told that it is OUR problem to figure it out, took it to a dodge specialist and they couldn’t figure out the problem and told us the truck isn’t worth putting the money into to find out the problem and notified jd byrider of this and was told by the store manager that he would get back to us that Friday well that has been 6 weeks ago and still haven’t heard from him, very disappointed so yes 0 stars .

I bought my Ford Fusion there just over a year ago. The last 2 months I had transmission problems. I took it in, they check it out, and had the transmission rebuilt at no cost to me! Haggle free warranty is the main reason I bought from Byrider... and they really showed that they back what they say! I would definitely recommend them. 😁👍

I currently am buying a vehicle from them and when I tell you there has been issue after issue. They either never find the problem than they find the problem, and something else goes bad. Stay away from this place and there cars. Wish I never came here!! I would give zero stars if I could.

Great customer service in both financing and sales department. Our credit was terrible, but because of JD Byrider we were able to get a car, and build our credit. They set the bar very high for our car buying experience. They do exist!!!I could not imagine a better buying experience. This is exactly what I would hope for in every buying experience. Absolutely no pressure except deciding which car to go with. I feel so secure with the warranty. The payments are totally affordable. My only regret is not purchasing every car through JD Byrider. I called talked to salesman Cory , told him how we had no transportation as old car just died, live in rural Jones County , IA. We went in that same day, figuring on doing loan papers , find out what downpayment would be and go back next week with downpayment to complete purchase, what a surprise as,We left with our new vehicle.I would recommend Corey ,JD Byrider & CNCA Financing in Cedar Rapids as great people to work with . Straight forward, okay car, a lot of miles, but when your credit score is not up to par, then you get what you get. Honestly, the amount of the car was twice the Kelly Blue book value, would I recommend, not really!! Save your money, build your credit up to get something you truly want & not have to take just to get a vehicle!!!!

Not a high pressure car lot. The guys work really hard to keep the prices reasonable and make sure to have nice cars available. They genuinely care and work really hard to help people to get into a car that is right for the person buying it. They dont just try to get you to buy anything they try to get exactly what you are looking for. They do report to your credit. So if you have bad credit and are looking to improve it they do report and it does help improve your credit as long as you make your payments! Got my car here a few months ago and I love it!
