Dakota helped me and another young lady. He took his time and educated us about the acoustic guitar. He was very knowledgeable and gave me an amazing experience, I drove pretty far to get a specific guitar but I now will drive here for all my necessities the experience was top tier ! P.S he also showed us how to play 2 songs in about 2 minutes very impressive

Zach was so informative and was the best ever. He took us around the store showed us the equipment and gave us more tips on DJ and was great at his job. It was like being in a class and I would refer anyone to this store . We came all the way from Tyler Tx and he treated us like we was from his hood. Thanks will be back. Overall I enjoyed my trip to this location of Guitar Center. Ill definitely be back.I did not get a lot of interaction from the employees initially and there was not a lot of customers.However, once I got to the room with the Ukuleles the gentleman was so kind and friendly I almost bought a ukulele and I only came to buy a keyboard stand. I wish I would have gotten his name because he made me feel like my business was valued.Then when we got to the register Nick was AMAZING because of his great customer service!! Nick talked to my family like we were old friends, gave us lots of info and was just so helpful. I even ended up buying a gift card for what I dont know 😂😂 but Nick sold it to me and it was a great stocking stuffer!

I came here to get my first electric guitar. I did not end up buying anything because of low stock but the staff was amazing and really informative. I got help from one of the guitar technicians who was really helpful but I do not remember his name unfortunately. But I also got help from a guy named Sam who was amazing and made me feel more comfortable about getting my first guitar. Great staff. The guitar tech and Sam both deserve a raise lol.

Went in a few days before Christmas to get an acoustic guitar for my son. When he opened it for Christmas somehow the neck snapped before he could play one note. I didn’t even purchase the protection plan they offer. Well i took it back and explained what happened. He understood completely and was happy to exchange. No arguments, this man just wanted make sure that i was satisfied. The item was exchanged and i went ahead and purchased the protection plan just in case. Thank you Guitar Center you made my son’s day. This is the only store I will shop for future upgrades to his instruments.

I love Guitar Center usually. However I was alone inside the store while I was there. An employee came to me telling that I need to still wear a mask. Im fine with a mask when others are around or checking out. When I questioned the employee about while they were still enforcing it I was told unfortunately were based out of California so there pushing it. Everyone can take this how ever they view masks but I for one am not a fan of masks any more.

Fixed the basics I needed on my old guitar. Very friendly service. Not a five star since they did not call me to tell me of the delay and that the guitar was ready for pick up. Repairman got covid-19 so that delay is totally understandable. Prices were fair. I would shop there again.

I needed help and no one was available to help me even though I saw employees just standing there. I needed an item that wouldve easily ran a bit over $2500 buuuut they preferred I look for it instead I assume. I didnt give it 1 star only because they do have nice things in there at an OK price.

Good selection of a lot of acoustic guitars and accessories but a little limited on the higher-end models, perhaps due to local demographics or corporate inventory directives/vendor contracts. Aaron is a salesperson there who was a great help this trip (first to this location, not first GC Ive been to). Friendly and knowledgeable, I look forward to working with him again.

Loved this location. No high-pressure salesmen, just all the information you need from a very attentive staff. I went in with a very specific ukulele I wanted and they had them in stock and the guy that helped me out was very good and we had a nice conversation about all kinds of music & audio tech. I didnt once feel like he was trying to oversell me or push any product on me, just accommodating me with my thousand questions. I got my Luna Uke, a wall mount, and additional strings for a different uke and will be back for sure!**Location follows strict COVID guidelines. Masks required **

Went to visit the store. Hours online showed the store to be open... there was a hand written sign on the front door at 2pm that the store was temporarily closed. Went to Brook Mays instead and bought my $2000 keyboard... sorry Guitar Center. Next time make sure your store hours are updated so we dont waste an hour round trip.

Attempted to replace broken headphones. Customer Service Manager was a real tool. I purchased the protection plan but was informed I would need to contact Asurion and wait for them to receive the damaged item before they issue credit for a return. What a waste. Very frustrating experiance. Do not recommend this location. Several negative experiences here.

Went in to browse and look for a guitar for my son. He’s 7 so I had to find a guitar that fit him. I was able to receive assistance and the employee took his time to explain the sizes, strings, etc...I was not familiar with guitars. We were able to find one my son liked and I later went back and purchased it. Upon my return another employee was able to explain the different pics and which one would suit my son. Very pleased with the service.

Extensive stock of instruments. Seeing an employee drop and break the neck on a guitar is the reasons for 3 stars. Accidents happen when least expected, having said that I guess I expected more care with an expensive guitar. Just glad is was not mine !

Ordered from guitar centers website & this was the store that filled my order. I ordered a new guitar and they filled the order with either a floor demo model, an open box special, or a returned guitar. The pick guard had no plastic film covering it or stickers and tags to indicate it was new, & theyshipped it in another guitar brands box. Also the pick guard had a lot of scratches indicating it had been played a lot, plus the neck pick up didnt work AT ALL. apparently when they received my order they couldnt read that it was supposed to be a BRAND NEW guitar, not just whatever they had lying around that no one wanted. Also I couldnt call their store because calls were set to go to their 800 customer service# after 2 rings. Great service guys. Keep up the good work. As 4 the company itself Ill never shop with your company again. The few employees you do have that are awesome are rare. But everyone else seems to not care at all. Your customer service employees over the phone are hit or miss, and your corporate office failed to respond to my emails over this issue. Now I understand why several musicians refer to GC as Rip-Off Center

Not a great selection of drums, other items, seems smaller than most Guitar Centers. One employee was very standoffish when we asked a question, and then scolded me for pulling my mask down for a moment while I was clearing the fog off my glasses while trying to find a shirt! Rude, wont be back!

This negative review is for the company as a whole, but is being left on this store location because this is where my problem originated. An open-box, damaged item with missing components was shipped to me instead of a brand new item. Details...I ordered a DJ controller over the phone with a customer service rep. I was told that this would be a brand new product and would ship out within the next couple of days from the warehouse. Turns out, it was actually being shipped from a store and it did not leave the store for 10 days from the day I ordered it. I expected some delays in the shipping process due to the pandemic, so thats not the biggest complaint here. The bigger issue is that when I finally received the controller, it was not brand new- it was an open box item- and was missing the power cord, and USB cable and one of the platters/jog wheels was *damaged*. The only resolutions they were able to provide would involve me waiting for another controller to be shipped and having to go through the hassle of shipping this one back. There was no option to simply go swap it out at a nearby location without all the added waiting, etc. The people I worked with directly have been fantastic, but the company policies, return/exchange process, etc. is horrible. Further, how does an open box damaged item with missing components get shipped in place of what was supposed to be brand new? Also, I should add.. the only concession the company was able/willing to make was a 6% discount (which was much appreciated), but when applying this discount disqualified the purchase for the 12-month no interest financing I originally had, it kind of negates the concession.Very dissatisfied with this whole experience and Ive shopped GC for over 20 years. Ive seen many similar complaints on various sites, but it doesnt appear Guitar Center even responds.

I got my first drum kit today and I just wanna say Charlie rules!!! He didnt just only care about selling me a kit. He took time to teach me basic knowledge on how to tune them and helped me to make sure I experiment with different heads and sticks to find my own sound! He was super careful loading them into my car too! Ive never had this kind of customer service at a guitar center before, this whole place rules. Everyone here is nice and super hepful.

This is the first time I have a really bad experience at this guitar center. I came with the intention of purchasing more products. The representative named Terrence should not be employed. He was rude for no reason not knowledgeable or helpful at all. It seems that my presence bothered him and his goal was to get me out of there not to sell anything. I ended up leaving without buying what I needed. Please take a look at your staff and make necessary changes other wise I’ll just buy at Amazon going forward.

Terrible customer service! These guys obviously dont work off of commissions. Spent over an hour in the store with plans to buy two guitars with amps. After 45 minutes, one of the six or seven staff finally asked if I had any questions. When I asked about a guitar he said he didnt know anything about guitars or bass or apparently anything else. Then he didnt even bother to bring someone else over to help. I guess no one here really knows anything about the instruments they sell? I recommend the staff actually help a customer once in a while; your sales would double overnight. Just a thought.

Horrible customer service. Had 8 workers on the floor with very few customers.It took 15 minutes for someone to ask if I needed help which was the store manager from the back. He referred and introduced me to another employee that was supposedly smart in the specific department. The employee was too busy having a 30 min conversation with 2 other employees and a customer that was already checked out and helped. He never got to me after 30 minutes of me waiting for the conversation to be over, so I took my business elsewhere.

It was smaller than we have seen other guitar centers but had everything we could ever want. The staff was knowledgeable, helpful, and polite.However, the first time we went the lesson instructors were playing music on the floor. It was really loud which made it difficult for the customers to test out the instruments and communicate with staff. I believe the concert was a one time thing.

I attempted to get the attention of several workers but kept getting ignored. One guy just went outside and stood their for 10 minutes after he walked the customer out. Another worker was on the sound round just playing on the drums, no customer near him. No one asked if they could help me. I finally got one guys attention, asked my question, then after he disappeared for a long time, I just said forget. I called another store and was happy to drive over their to spend my money. I would have to be in a desperate situation to return here.

Drove 30 minutes to this guitar center, and planned on selling a Hohner starter guitar and a Cresent guitar, both acoustic and 5 years old at least. The man at the counter who greeted me and my father looked in about his mid-twenties with shaggy hair but not in an unprofessional way. My father had told him, My daughter is looking to sell these guitars. I had the Hohner in my hand and the Crescent slung over my shoulder in a black guitar case. The man responded with taking a quick glance at the Hohner said, Yeah uh, we only take high end guitars. Sorry about that. He didnt bother to take a look at the Crescent, which is in better shape, comes in a case, has extra string, and is ,higher quality. In his defense, the Hohner is pretty scratched, but it could still be resold for a cheaper price. However, the Cresent is a barbie pink, red airbrushed ombre on the edges of the body. The tuning pegs are even in the shape of little wrapped candies. It is in almost new condition after owning it for almost 5 years.
