Took my six year old for the first time to any eye doctor: great experience. The staff was great and friendly, really had an awareness of children and how to interact with them. Dr. Bomse was great with my kid. Took cleanliness measures and I felt very safe in that office . I found glasses to be a little pricey but that may just be glasses these days.

Ive been seeing Dr. Bomse for years and even followed her when she changed practices within the last year. She is an excellent doctor who takes the time to be thorough and helps you work through eye issues. I have always appreciated Dr. Bomses expertise and kindness.

Everyone that i met there was super helpful and the exam and glasses ordering process went pretty smoothly. There was lots of emphasis on keeping everyone safe from passing any bugs of any kind. At first I thought it was a little expensive but I thought about it and for the quality and convenience it was just right. Thanks.

I have been going to Dr Bomse for several years. I love the time she takes with her patients. She always listens to my concerns and takes the time to address them. She isn’t pushy and gives practical suggestions to encourage eye health in myself and my toddler daughter. The rest of the staff is also always helpful and friendly. I visted Dr. Bomses office for the first time yesterday and have already referred others to check it out. Dr. Bomse and her staff were kind, patient, attentive, and thorough. They were using top of the line technology (I appreciated not having to get a puff in the eye for pressure check!) and the office was clean and sanitized. The office is also conveniently located in an optical shop, where the kind optician was able to put new lenses in my frames by the next day! I definitely recommend Dr. Bomses Family Eye Care.

Great experience! Dr. Bomse, Marc, and Ernie were all exceedingly accommodating and extremely patient with me. The passion was clear from the start of the exam with Dr. Bomse who proved to be highly attuned with what she does, and clear-cut with explanations. Marc and Ernie were very understanding and helpful while i was picking glasses, while also demonstrating their own expertise in the craft as well. Very warm atmosphere; would recommend to individuals and families alike looking for optical help!

After finding and paying for parking, I get in there for them to tell me they dont take my insurance even though I confirmed it over the phone. Nice people, but for me it was a waste of time and money.

Wow love this place! Dr. Bomse is so friendly and her staff are wonderful too. Our puppy chewed my sons glasses and Dr. Bomse was able to get us in right away and my son had new glasses THE NEXT DAY! How awesome is that! I highly recommend this office especially if you are tired of dealing wirh chain stores and their sales tactics. Catonsville Optical also has good prices on quality eyewear. So glad i found them.

Cannot recommend Mr. Ernie and Donna enough! Weve been going there for our daughters glasses since she was 15 months old (now 7.5 yrs) and they have taken wonderful care of us. We recently moved out of Catonsville and still come back to Catonsville Optical, and will continue to do so.

I have been a patient of Dr. Bomse for several years now. As someone who has worn glasses since I was 3 years old, and who has medical conditions requiring regular and thorough screening of my eyes, I have high expectations for my eye care. Dr. Bomse exceeds all of those expectations. She is thorough, has state of the art equipment and she leaves no stone left unturned in her examinations. But all of that being said, the best thing about her is her bedside manner and personality. She is personable, easy to talk to, and carefully and completely explains everything she is doing. She doesnt talk down to you and will get as technical as you like when describing the test results or what is going on within your eyes. I think she spent maybe 30 minutes or more in my last appointment with her just talking to me about my eyes, how they work, what was happening in them, etc. As I get older and pickier about my health care team; this sort of service is becoming non-negotiable for me. It is also becoming rather rare. The point is, I cannot recommend Dr. Bomse enough. She (and Catonsville Optical) are the perfect example of the type of local business I like to support. 5 stars from me!

Catonsville Optical is the finest private optician in the Baltimore area. I have recommended them to my patients for 30 years because of their expertise and the high qualtiy of the lenses and eyeglass frames that they provide . As an Ophthalmologist praciticing in the community for 30 years, they have been the optician that has corrected and solved the problems that resulted from the poor quality of many other opticians.

Great people, great products, fair pricing. After years of dealing with chain opticians and their poorly trained, often rude personnel, several years ago I went back to a specialty, proprietor owned business - Catonsville Optical. What I learned is that the deals offered by the chains are illusory. I paid just a tiny bit more and got better frames and lenses that lasted longer than any others Ive owned. I was treated with respect and courtesy and I could tell I counted to them. Dont fool yourself, your better value can be found here.Highly recommended.

You can really tell when speaking with Dr. Bomse that she really is passionate about what she does, and the eyes in particular about which she seems to be VERY knowledgable (as I guess one would expect from an opthamalogist, but you never know these days).At my last appt (my first in this office), she took the time to explain what each machine did, including ones I was just asking about, that we werent even using that day. She also explained basically everything she did and why we were doing it, names of tools she was using etc.Somehow we began to talk about some personal stuff going on in my life (shes very easy to talk to, idk why I say somehow), and she made a very sweet comment, as well as, adding some insight of her own.This review probably screams shill or whatever, but I swear Im not her (lol) and have been a patient of hers since I could (or couldnt?) see practically, 2nd grade I believe, at her old office up the road, and Im 24 now, so Ive met with her a decent bit.But this last appt really stuck out to me and I thought deserved a review. 10/10 def would recommend for all your eye care needsEdit: Also, the other Doctor, Kelly I believe her name is, (Ive just always been with Dr Bomse) Im certain is just as knowledgeable and I know for fact from talking in passing is just as nice and friendly as Dr. Bomse.
