I came here for my nose repiercing after it got infected the first time, and big john did a fabulous job! i didn’t feel a thing. i also had a great experience getting my tragus done. about a month later my piercing fell out while i was cleaning it and he was more than happy to put a new one in! i recommended three other friends for piercings and they all said they had great experiences. could not recommend this spot more! it’s clean, the staff are friendly, and you get exactly what you ask for and always leave satisfied.

This place deserves 10 stars. Very friendly staff. They practice social distance. The shop is very clean with state of the art technology. John did my wrist tattoo hes old school which means quality work. I highly recommend this place thee best in Baltimore.

Came here with my sister and we are both very satisfied. Hers was a lobe piercing while mine was a snug as shown in the pic. The piercer joked around a lot, especially during my sisters turn, but was very respectful that I didnt want that and stayed serious when needed. Its still red, obviously, but its healing up very nicely and Im excited to swap jewelry when its ready for that.

This is my second time at Best of Time Tattoos!! I had Shane today and he did a cute little flower on me. I appreciate how funny he was and how caring he is regarding his work. I recommend this place to everyone and will be coming back again.

Fantastic. This is only my second tattoo and it wasnt really complex, but it was done perfectly. Both Johns that I ran into were super friendly, professional, and helpful. The John that actually did the tattoo was awesome and made the whole thing a breeze. Super cool stories about being a drummer and some of the bands hes run across. Im not sure when Ill be getting more work done, but when I do, Ill be back.

Shane pierced my septum back in May and did a tattoo in July. Septum is perfectly placed, healed with no issues whatsoever. I followed the aftercare instructions he gave me for my tattoo, and it healed without a single scab. I highly recommend this place!

Shane was amazing with our girls who were getting their ears pierced for the first time. I received a second piercing on my ears as well. Everything was clean and they took extra precaution to make sure everyone was safe. Shane was very personable and made us feel at ease as well as professional. We highly recommend.

Got my third earlobe piercing done. big john was my piercer and he was absolutely fantastic! he answered all my questions and was super genuine. really down to earth guy. the shop itself is very organized and sanitary, i definitely recommend for piercings (and tattoos). pricing is very reasonable too!

Big John is one of the best piercers in the area. He makes you feel comfortable when youre super nervous. Im not sure exactly how to describe it. Its like he is a friend that youve known for a long time. I have entrusted him with my nostril and septum. He has also pierced my daughters nostril and belly button. Ive been to other shops in the area and since discovering Best of Time Tattoos and Body Piercing. I only come here for piercings. Each time it is a fun experience. We love you, Big John!!!! Today, June 5 is my daughters 15th birthday. She has been asking to get her nose pierced & I wanted to take her today to get it done on her birthday but unfortunately she worked until 7:30 pm. I called Best of Time Tattoos and Body Piercing at 7:25 pm (on Saturday night!) & asked they had any opening tonight. He said yes but I then told him I could be there by 8:10 pm. Even though the piercier was suppose to leave at 8 he stayed & waited for us to get there!! When we got there the outside is clean & looks great & when we walked in it was just the same! Everything was clean & staff was friendly! John was great piercing her nose, joking with us & giving her information on how to keep it clean This shop is great & I will certainly being going back! Thanks John!

Came to get a couple of piercings that had closed up re-pierced and had a really good experience! Big John did my piercings and the whole experience was quick but through. Would definitely come back again and would 10/10 recommend!

Big John was very professional, clean, and friendly during my visit. I’d go back for more service. Don’t let the prices discourage you. Sometimes you just have to pay to get things done right/safe the first time.

I was told the wait time would be 1hr , after waiting 1 hour, I was told the wait time would be an additional 45 mins, after waiting another hour, I simply asked how much longer, the guy told me I could leave if I wanted to leave bc he’s only one person. I simply told him to be more careful with peoples time and try not to promise a time he cannot keep. He was very rude. I didn’t even want him to pierce me no more.

John is always great. He’s personable and professional and makes the experience much easier every time. I definitely recommend him and will continue to see him for future piercings.

Went for a navel piercing for my daughter. Shane was excellent. We were finished quickly. She didnt even know he started let alone finished. He was great. Explained everything to her. It was a good experience.

Went to get my septum and a dermal next to my eye. The process was quick and easy and Big John did the piercings so fast I barely felt them. The shop was very clean and masks were being worn by everyone. He was very friendly and overall eased my worries about the piercings. Will definitely be going back for my future piercings.

I didn’t have to wait long and the process was very quick. I was even allowed to accompany my friend while she got her piercing. And lastly, it wasn’t too expensive I would definitely recommend going there if you want to get pierced.

The experience was phenomenal each time my first experience was with big John for my Medusa piercing he was quick and very friendly love the vibe my second experience was with John the Tattoo Artist he was on point with my design he was so quick I didnt believe he was done the vibe was amazing. Even though this wasnt my first Tattoo he made sure to educated me on how to take care of my Tattoo definitely will be going back for more art work.

First off, don’t pay any mind to “Keith Cornish” “Destiny Miles” or “DessDemi” - They are all the same person and she is insane. Seriously! I was there and witnessed her meltdown over having to wait to be pierced. Shane was nothing less than professional apologizing for being the only piercer there that day and working on a scheduled tattoo. She was being rude to him and had an attitude about waiting. Yes, she had to wait over an hour but so did the rest of us. She sat there talking on the phone to some guy about how she was going to “make the business hurt for having to wait” and “how she was posting from different accounts” The immaturity didn’t stop there, something set her off when she gave her license and was asked about payment - she came back to the front and was removing pictures off the wall and daring the employees to touch her. The employees all remained professional and just asked her to leave the establishment. Once outside, it didn’t stop there. I watched on the security monitors as she picked up a chair and threw it at the window. Employees then went outside to tell her the cops were on the way and she not only tried run them over, but also hit the building and several cars! Insane! B*tch was insane!Once she was off the property, and the adrenaline level came down, piercing went perfectly! Didn’t even feel a thing! Shane was so nice and made me feel at ease. Everyone there is always so nice. This was my second piercing here and i’ll be back for more.

If i could give this place a million stars i would!!! big john did my septum and i literally couldn’t be happier. dude was cool as hell, funny and the whole process was quick painless and clean. i can’t wait for this to heal so i can get my cartilage done here as well!!

I’ve gotten my belly button and my conch pierced at Best of Time and they were both phenomenal experiences. John is always friendly, patient, and reassuring. I went to get my septum pierced here and had a great experience. I have never seen such a clean business which is essential in the time of a global pandemic. The receptionist was an angel along with the piercer John was very honest and comforting. There was fast service once I was inside the piercing room and it was a clean and easy interaction. Definitely would come here again.

All I can say is BIG JOHN is the BESTTTT!!! My daughter and I went to a piercing shop in Towson and they were EXTREMELY RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I went to get nose pierced stretched by John who did a excellent job and also spoke to Jenni about finishing up a tattoo I had on my neck. She was very friendly along with the rest of the staff. She took pictures of my neck and found pictures that will fill the empty spaces on my neck. I ended up leaving a deposit and scheduling an appointment to get the art work done. I called 3 days earlier to see if I can reschedule and Jenni whats great she was able to take me that day. When I went in to get tattoo again the staff was very friendly the atmosphere was great and very clean business. Jenni did an outstanding job on my tattoo I love them. I will be going back to her again and recommending her to all my friends

I just left from Best of time tattoos and Shane helped me get my Tragus piercing out, and put a new ring in. He was very nice. Has great customer service and answered all my question. This is a great place for body piercings and tattoos. Clean, safe, and the artists who work here are friendly, patient, courteous, and professional.

They pierced directly through her vein and and it nearly ruptured in her mouth, we went to a piercer today and he told us that he she could have nearly died if it would have ruptured and that she’s lucky to be alive, she took it out some time ago but if she would’ve took it out sooner than that she would’ve bled out.i have photos but it’s not letting me add them to my review.

Where do I even start with this exceptional place?! We took our six year old here today and Shane and Big John deserve a medal. Not only was the five second process a cinch (because they KNEW that both of them at the same time was smart) but they talked to our daughter with kind patience and professionalism that I did not anticipate while she was second guessing and overthinking what she REALLY wanted for ages. Highly recommend them to parents looking for first piercings.

A friend referred my husband and me to Big John at Best of Time for ear piercing.We were both apprehensive because our 5-year-old daughter was already anxious about the experience in a familiar setting (the mall) and tattoo shops arent typically kid-friendly. However, we were relieved to see that the shop was very clean (with strict adherence to all local COVID-19 guidelines) bright, colorful, and almost felt more like a pediatricians office (the parking lines and outdoor fan were painted rainbow colors, the lobby was a spring green color, and her ears were pierced in a small pink room).We were both greeted and reassured that wed be taken care of by Big John and he did a great job. He was very kind, patient, kept us informed during the process, allowed us time to regroup when needed, and even offered her a lollipop and popsicle for doing so well.The only suggestion I have for them is to offer a wider earring selection. There was only one very plain looking set that we ended up going with and were all looking forward to changing them out after the healing period.I would definitely recommend Big John at Best of Time for childrens ear piercing!

Update from 9/23/21: Shane covered up what was supposed to be a cabbage patch surrounding my son Darian who I lost. He made it even better by replacing it with wings. I ADORE it! Then he added a dragonfly representing my grandfather and butterfly for my grandmother. Its a really great job. It really touched my heart.Shane also switched my daith piercing to something that coordinates better with my jewelery.Update from March 2021: My daith piercing, LOVE IT! Thanks Shane!I had the best experience here at this location having been in business about 23yrs if I heard correctly. The great experience started from my call to inquire about nose piercing. A lovely woman assisted, Kathy, with my call and at my arrival. Shane did my piercing with perfection; NO PAIN! 🤩 Hes a Rock Star! We discussed fixing a tattoo that I have and he gave me a reasonable price. I so look forward to that experience so I can post another review!Important! Theyre constantly sanitizing the areas and everyone wears a mask including me!😁 I felt totally safe.

I Loveddd this place! I git a nose piercing and was really nervous about it. Shane made it really easy and comfortable for me. The place was very clean and they took proper pre-cautions for COVID. The girl receptionist was very friendly and cheerful. I had a great experience here at this place. The guy messed up my tattoo then tried to blame me for “moving” when I wasn’t moving at all. My lines were not straight on my flowers. He was like high off coke or something.

I have come to this location several times for tattoos. Each time i was pleased with the outcome of my tattoo. i have had Shane a few times and Little John once. Shane is definitely great at his art of tattooing. i would recommend this business. The only neg i would have is time, be prepared to spend a few hours in the shop due to delays and drawing.

My sister and I got matching tattoos! Shane was super awesome, he was able to fit us into his schedule even though they have been super busy! This was my sisters first tattoo and Shane talked her through everything and made her feel super comfortable! We would definitely go back!

I went here because of its fantastic reviews but was very disappointed. I went in to get my third lobe piercings, but I have a bunch of other piercings already. A few days after, my left ear was in a lot of pain and looked slanty so I called and they told me its probably just irritated and to hold off and come in if it doesnt subside. I couldnt sleep on that side and I knew that was abnormal. It did not subside, so I went in again. He took out the earring and told me to wait a week for the swelling to go down and hell redo it for free. So he did, but it was once again slanty and turned my ear black and blue because the slantiness caused it to be so tight on my ear. The photo doesnt even capture how bad it looked. It was so painful. I cant believe he couldnt get it straight the second time. Professional piercers should not have such a hard time doing it correctly! Luckily my right ear turned out okay. I was impressed with the customer service which is why they are not receiving a 1. He told me after the second time to call if I had any more issues but I honestly did not want to go through the pain and frustration for a THIRD time so I took the earring out myself and let it close up. But I will never return to this shop and would not recommend it to anyone.

I wanted to get a tragus piercing for the 2nd time since the 1st time I got it done at another place my piercing never healed and I was in pain so I was afraid to get it done it again but with shane I felt confident. He’s kind and friendly. He showed me how to properly clean my piercing. I had a great experience with shane. I will definitely be back to this place.

I got my tattoo on Tuesday. This is the second tattoo Ive gotten there. As usual, I had an excellent experience. John was my artist and he executed my design perfectly. He was funny and friendly and made me feel comfortable. He even had lollipops to calm my nerves! Lol He did an excellent job and I will be back to see him for my next tattoo!

After having my ears pierced at a kiosk when I was young and still looking a little lopsided, I wanted to avoid the same fate for my daughter. I went through all the places in the area that would pierce a childs ear and found Best of Times Tattoos and Body Piercing accepted kids, was well-reviewed, offered similar prices for kids and adults, and had great availability for a piercer on staff.Big John did the piercing and he was amazing. When I spoke to him on the phone he was able to make a same day appointment. He remembered our conversation when we got there and was more than prepared for my childs piercing. To calm her down he explained everything from how the piercing industry works to his views on Star Wars, which my daughter greatly appreciated.Even though she wanted to do it, my kid is a bit of a crier. Big John dealt with that amazingly well too. Even though he was able to pierce the ears quickly and efficiently, he let her take the time to adjust. He even reopened my second of piercings Id close.Big John ended by telling us both how to take care of our piercings, asked us to call if we had any questions or concerns, and offered that we could come back in six weeks when my kid wanted to switch out her studs with a new pair of earrings. It was the best experience Ive ever had getting a piercing, will be recommending Big John whenever I can, and well come here if I need any more done in the future.

I went to get my nose piercing fixed because it came out the day before and my experience was great. The guy who put it in (I didn’t get his name) did it and it didn’t really hurt, and he put a backing on so it wouldn’t come out again. He also gave me great advice on cleaning it since my nose was so swollen.

Got my tongue re-pierced, the process was very quick and I barely felt it. Didn’t get the guys name who did it but he was very professional, respectful, and gentle.def recommended!

So I’ve never had a piercing before other than my lobes as a baby and I came in so scared and nervous for my first piercing and with it being my nipples being pierced I was super scared. John did such an amazing job. He helped me through it all and explained everything before even putting on gloves. And they look amazing in every way shape and form. I live in Florida and I was visiting family here in Ellicott city and I got the piercings and regardless of the distance of 1,000 miles I will definitely be going back when I’m ready for my next piercing. My visit to this place was sort of last minute. Im not from this area and was only here for work purposes to assist with the Covid 19 crisis. The tattoos that my fellow nurse and I were hoping for, were not as straight forward or as simple as we first thought. However, Shane, our Artist, was absolutely Amazing and somehow managed to squeeze the both of us in without an appointment despite the place being very very busy. The work he did was completely Awesome! I Totally LOVE this Tattoo and would recommend him to Anybody! Ask for Shane, I promise you will not be disappointed! 😁

Back in November 2019, I got my septum pierced by Shane, he was awesome! Very professional, friendly and knew what he was doing. February 2020, I went back to purchase new jewelry and have it switched out. Big John did it for me and he was just as helpful and friendly! Im very impressed with this shop. I would recommend to anyone thinking about a piercing.

I’ve been twice, first time was excellent I got pierced with no issues and everything went smooth.Second time I went in to get two quotes tattooed on me. First one was perfect, second one looked okay on the stencil but the artist “freestyled” on the quote he tattooed permanently onto my body which now makes no grammatical sense at all. I just paid and left cause it’s not like it can be fixed at this point.Currently waiting for this to heal so I can get another artist to do a coverup.

I am terrified of needles and Big John is absolutely amazing. I got my septum pierced by him and nearly passed out just because there was a needles and he put a cold towel on my head, gave me a bottle of water, a popsicle and lollipop and talked to me for half an hour until I was ready to leave. The whole process was incredibly clean and easy. If not for me being a baby it would have been all over in 2 minutes. I would recommend this place to anyone and I would trust big john with my life.

After waiting 3 hours when I was told 1 hour, the guy had a really nasty attitude so I told him I didn’t want him touching me and I was disappointed in his behavior. He replied he could care less am I getting any services so he could move in with his day ? Like wow. This place sucks.
