Walking around, enjoying the gorgeous weather. Saw the sign so had to stop in for lunch. Small place, very friendly waitress took my order. Asked for iced tea, she stated they didnt have any so I ordered water. She said, let me go make you some. Great start. I ordered the wet burrito with meat and red sauce. The chef brought it to table. Wow!! Huge, and delicious. Especially the red sauce. True red sauce, not salsa. Highly recommended this place. Authentic Mexican food. Definitely not a fast food joint.

I eat authentic Mexican food all over including Mexico, I havent eaten food like this. It was good but not excellent. The taquitos were over cooked. The chicken looked like it had curry and was dry in all our dishes. My nachos were different, but delicious. They also used feta cheese and I havent seen that in these dishes before. I probably wouldnt come back or recommend.

The picanha was amazing, probably my new favorite cut now, they were very nice aswell . Overall a great place I highly recommend!

Food was good but there were a few issues with service. Also, salsa is very spicey, good taste but the spice almost ruins it. Waitress offered shredded chicken for the burritos but then 20 minutes after ordering (there was only one other group in the place) told us they didnt have shredded chicken. So, needless to say food took a while to get to us. Also asked for an extra plate, it never came. Had to ask for silverware. Also ordered a burrito without onions and it came with onions, at that point we didnt want to send it back though and wait another 40 minutes. Waitress also grabbed the cups by the inside of the lid to refill, really hoping she used new cups.

New to the area and this is my first order here- via Postmates. Nice that they have low fees compared to other restaurants. Menu options are plenty. I ordered a taco salad with chicken breast. OMG. Best taco salad that I have had, probably ever. All the ingredients were super fresh and the chicken was tender and seasoned perfectly. The portion was huge. I ordered a side a Jalapenos to give it a kick and used their salsa as the salad dressing. I could have made a meal with just the salsa and a straw. The salsa was that good. I am looking forward to trying more menu items. This place is definitely a keeper for me.Update: placed another order tonight for dinner. Wet Christmas Chicken Burrito w/side salad and chocolate cake. It was delish, salad was fresh and everything cooked to perfection. Portions are huge and can easily get 2 meals from main entree plates. That is, if you can control yourself to not snarf it all in one sitting.Update #2: made 2nd trip to their store next to the restaurant. Their meat counter is excellent. Beautiful and flavorful cuts of meat to choose from. Pricing is great. Service is stellar. You can buy salsa, guac, beans, etc in larger family size containers. Love this place.

Rude guy that attended me. Meat was good but tortillas werent even warmed up they ripped as soon as I folded my tacos. Very rude personell. I took pictures of my tacos so you can see the tortillas not just one taco it was all of them like if they wouldve just put the meat on the tortilla without heating it up

Small hidden secret of the desert. By far the best meat in Coachella. You won’t find prime meat this good anywhere. Worth the drive.

We wondered what a restaurant attached to a supermarket would be like but were pleasantly surprised; very good range of food on the menu, spiciness level was well judged and not overwhelming. Margaritas were very acceptable and available on a good range between sweet and more sour. Good value, especially for Palm Springs.

Unfortunately this is not Mexican food my burrito was so bland and fulllll of onions. Ugh it was just horrible.

Food was good but service was bizarre. Waitress kept insisting a chile relleno was a burrito. Kept returning to ask questions about an order that was on the menu. My son has been here many times and said he has never had problems in the past and never saw this waitress before.

Everything was above average and the only issue was the food took a little longer than expected. However, the food was very good.

All my respect to this place but...When we walked in and saw an empty restaurant, never expected to wait 48 minutes to eat a fried tilapia that was overcooked, tasteless and totally cold. The dried cold beans & rice didnt helped either. Btw, the waitress said it only takes 15 mins to have the whole order ready. My husband had a Rubia & Morena beer served at almost room temperature, also, 3 carne asada tacos which came with just onions & cilantro. We had to ask for limes, salsa & guacamole just to find out that... We had to use the same salsa for the chips, limes are 1 slice per taco & guacamole is at extra charge!!!Really??? No wonder Castañedas is all over Southern California!!🤔 Probably, was just a bad day for the cooker who came out of the kitchen every so often to watch the soccer game... Who knows? 🤷🤷🤷
