I sold two amps here and they gave me a fair price for both, so I am happy! Actually, bittersweet that I have to say goodbye to my beloved amps, but ... with the money I got, I can get myself a used guitar. :)

They dont give much for trade, but their resale prices trend average not overpriced. They purchase everyday which is helpful, decent selection.

Tons of pre-owned unique guitars and basses in there. Amps include a Hughes and Kettner too! Awesome store and I met a cool British dude customer who was dropping tons of knowledge on the pharmacudical marketing industry, so a win win

Don’t go there and expect to get any kind of deal. Price is Non negotiable, so buy their used stuff at retail and they’ll buy your stuff at a third of retail. Then tack on an extra $20 for store credit exchanges. Literally, on multiple occasions they’ll have broke items for-sale and low quality repairs done and think that they have done something worth paying full price for. Better off letting guitar center f*** you. Atleast you’ll have new gear for the the same price.

You need to check out Music Go Round in Cary! Great staff! Knowledgeable, friendly, they greet you as you enter the store. No pressure whatsoever. And because theyre a buy/sell/trade biz, there are plenty of unique instruments. There is also a good selection of new items. And, a whole rack of guitars just for young musicians! Plus repairs, good advice and if they dont have it, theyll do everything they can to get it. You have to check this place out. You wont be disappointed.

Been here before, was a pretty cool place. Came in on 8/26 around 5:30. I came up from SC to do some shopping here. I was greeted by a salesman, who seemed to be more interested in a customer shredding on a guitar. No worries, took a look around the store, and i was helped but the associate seemed annoyed. I wanted to check out a couple of guitars, he just didnt seem accomodating. Got a DRG sparkle to check out, but was interested in a baby blue tel star and Guild thunderbird. The associate set me up with an amp, and walked away. It was missing a power chord, another associate used it . So i got a power cord and asked if i could use a tuner and a pick. The associate got it for me but seemed annoyed at such a request. The DRG actually played pretty good, but wanted to check out the others before I made the long trip home to Mullins SC. I had talked a couple of minutes to the associate and when i asked to check out the other guitars, he said they were closing , grabbed the DRG and was kind of ushering me out. Just curious , isnt worth it to attend to a customer after closing time for a potential sale? Or send him out the door with a sacasticSorry there, mate, which is what the associate said as i was leaving. I wouldve loved to have gotten there early , but my wife and I are disabled and a long ride like that is rough on us. I truly thought you folks would not be another GC, but in fact you are no different. Same egos, attitude, poor customer service. Take a lesson from Sam Ash, especially Brooklyn and Carle Place. These folks know customer service, and will work with you on price. And yes, the Carle Place store gave me time to finish my selections after closing. And they basically ship for free, MGR shipping rates are extremely high.Yeah, MGR is a cool place, but you have lost me as a customer. No worries on your part, just another $300- $500 sale you dont need. Have a great weekend, stay safe.

From the first call regarding the guitar to purchasing the guys at the Cary store were great. I’m terrible with names but I spoke with the manager. This was fall 2020 timeframe. He discussed price with me and we came to a win win on a Cort G290 FAT. Thank you for a really nice purchase environment. You made buying a used guitar from another city, sight unseen, a pleasurable experience! Hope to buy another guitar from you soon! If you have any semi hollow body double cutaway’s let me know. You should have my gmail in your email history. Thank you again. I’m in love with this guitar. Setup is close to perfect, intonation too.

Raises the bar on used equipment, excellent service, fast delivery, bought online and highly recommend. They will search for the exact right guitar for you if you call and ask to see what they have coming in. Bought used guitar saved a bunch of money and got the upmost quality.

The absolute best crew of guitar heads and a huge selection of entry and mid level guitars. (A few higher end too but that’s out of my price range.) They’re happy to talk shop, give honest recommendations on the guitars and amps. Plenty of cables, used effects pedals, etc.

I can deal with the over priced used gear, but blatantly lying about a guitar having not a headstock break, when it clearly has, is just dumb. No one is going to buy a guitar that has had a headstock break when youre saying its just a bad relic job. Own up to what it is and price it accordingly.

Great local shop with a large selection of used instruments from guitars and drums to violins and more. The staff are very friendly and not overly pushy like insert big name guitar store. Theyre also knowledgeable and happy to help if you need it.

An amazing inventory of everything musical. Guitars, drum kits, amps, processors, accessories. Used gear, but in excellent shape, and good prices. The staff are on the ball, and dont have a snooty attitude. Customer service lives!

Fair pricing for trade in’s. Everyone I have interacted with was polite, professional, and knowledgeable. Support a local business. These guys definitely deserve it and have as good an inventory as any of the big box stores with an atmosphere that makes you feel welcome.

Asked about the pricing for an item. Instead of being answered in a timely manner was informed that they sold it online after My initial request. I’ll give a star because they had the item.Edit: They called me to talk about “my frustrations,” that’s a respectful thing to do and I appreciate it. Still bummed on the item being sold tho. Since I was just asking about shipping price. Whatever. Updating from 1 star to 3 star because they reached out and that’s a stand up thing to do.
