Absolute Stone is great! When I walked in, I was greeted by Tracey Fuller (HIGHLY RECOMMEND WORKING WITH HER) and she was very warm and welcoming. Tracey walked us around the BEAUTIFUL showroom and even showed us options that could be ordered. With her help we were able to make a decision. There are many places around here to purchase stone, but I am all about the overall experience. Its because of my experience, here at Absolute Stone in Cary, why I am writing this review. Go see Tracey Fuller at Absolute Stone in Cary and you will understand why :)

I wanted to get this out there now. Tracey was amazingly patient and thoughtful working with us and walking through our options. We were able to take our time and see different slabs and remnants. We ended up picking something that looks amazing in our kitchen and master bathroom, because she was so helpful during the process. The install went very well. There was one question that I needed to answer during the install, and the crew patiently waited for me to get out of a meeting to come and look at it before installing. It was great to have a company committed to doing everything right from the planning phase right down to the installation. They took their time and leveled every section of our island.Overall, we spent a lot of money on the countertops, because of what we wanted. Absolute Stone nailed it with quality and service all the way through. Bottom line is that you pay for what you get, and what we got was quality material, guidance and an installation with thorough attention to detail.

The business is totally lacking in customer service. The company is only interested in making a sale. They fail to provide full disclosure of their products and their products that were once quality are now inferior.I requested a quality granite and received a sub par stone. In addition I asked for rounded edges instead I got sharpe corners.Last but not least they installers tore a hole in my wall and cut a water line in a kitchen that had just completed renovations. The manager for the project acted as if he were doing me a favor by having it repaired.I would not recommend this company to anyone,

Stephanie helped us out and explained the process to us without us feeling like were getting the hard sell. The installation process was trouble-free. The crews showed up at the promised time and they were polite and efficient. Were happy with the end result and would definitely use Absolute Stone in the future.

Absolute trash. My initial exchange with the sales rep was positive, but I started to get a bad feeling when she said the template team needed to come out for a second time. After tons of back and forth with her, and her going back and forth with the crew and her own boss, they still didnt seem to understand my kitchen sink replacement project (the simple fact that the countertop has to go in before a drop-in sink can be *dropped in*). They ended up bailing on the countertop replacement two days before they were supposed to come out. It ended up being about a month later that I could get the plumber and a different countertop specialist to come out, which was a pain, to say the least.

Be careful of their estimates. Unsure if this is a business practice or if we had a rookie sales person. Being on a tight reno budget, we provided photos and measurements and then had my realtor measure again. Each time working with the Absolute sales person. Although measurements remained the same even through Absolutes template process, they increased the price by $600. Then they charged us an unexpected $150 for metal supports that earlier they indicated were included for a total $750 increase from the estimate. They did give us a $350 credit, but it did leave us feeling that they do not disclose all fees and use the template process to increase their price. The countertops are due to be installed later this week. Heres hoping their installation process is better than their business practices.

We had a very positive experience start to finish with our quartzite master bath countertop installation. It was an unusual design & Moses who did the template on site was very careful & precise so that when Edwin & his team came to install the top & two waterfall legs, it all came together perfectly! They went above & beyond for us! Julie was very kind & patient helping us at the showroom lot to place the template exactly as we wanted. Julie’s communication with our designer Michelle from Kitchen & Bath Galleries & the installation team was top notch. Bravo & thank you to all involved at Absolute Stone! We highly recommend your services.💐

Amazing every step of the way. Stephanie made the selection process super easy, great communication. Zero pressure sales process. Purchased their sink/drain hardware, found our own faucet, and used our own plumber. They sell popular styles of sinks and faucets, but are happy for you to find your own if they dont have what youre looking for. The template team was was wonderful and very professional. The installation team was amazing - you could tell theyve done this a million times - nothing came up in our old house that they couldnt solve. VERY happy with our experience. Someone even called after to check to see how everything went (although he did emphatically tell me how hard our white quartz would be to keep clean - not quite the pep talk I had in mind the day after everything was already installed lol. But he recommended products and cleaners to use)Thank you!

Absolute Stone is the best in the area. Elizabeth took a long time helping me decide which slab would work best for my kitchen. She was attentive to my needs as well as my taste. Template was done with perfection and installation was a breeze. The countertops are absolutely beautiful. This is my second countertop experience with Absolute. They helped me many years ago and I highly recommend them for any project or any size.

From the moment we met Melissa at Absolute Stone, we knew we were in good hands. For over 6 months, she met with us, guided us and helped us get through the details of a complete kitchen granite selection, preparation and renovation.Today, the job was completed and without hesitation, it is magnificent. The template guys were great and the result was a perfect fit and the install guys were patient and accurate. I upgraded to a larger sink and am very glad I did. I took before and after pictures and went back to the showroom to show Melissa today. In my opinion the company should be called Absolute Stars. The granite was more lovely than expected with no flaws. My kitchen is everything we hoped for and we plan future projects in the bathrooms using AS. Thanks to everyone there! The finished product fits well and looks good. Though the counter top I picked from the sample and from the stone yard looks different under my kitchen lighting. Four stars because they did not seal the granite. I called them and left a few messages and they never called back. When I did get a hold of someone they said that it had been sealed before and after install quoting some company policy. But I was home when they did it and I know the crew did not seal after. Plus it gets water rings whenever I breath on it. Other companies might have sent someone out to check on the install. Especially after dropping a large dime on it.

We waited almost 30 years to replace out 1970s countertops. We went to a couple of other local businesses, and stopped by Absolute Stone and spoke with Stephanie. She provided a quote and we found they offered us the best price for what we needed. Stephanie was extremely helpful and spent as much time with us as needed to answer all our questions. She was very willing to assist us with questions we had during a couple of additional visits. The template went very smooth and our install went well with no issues. The installers were very professional and obviously have done many countertop installations. They were done in an hour and half and everything was perfectly clean once they were done. Our countertops look fantastic and will definitely recommend Absolute Stone to our family and friends. Ill let them know to ask for Stephanie.

We were scheduled for our install two weeks after the templating. About a week before the install, they contact us and tell us that they dropped our slab and its unusable. They think they can get another one in a week. Accidents happen. We could understand that, but we assumed that they would actually try to compensate for it. A week later, they finally get another slab and then tell us it will be two more weeks before they can do the install because theyre busy. Meanwhile, weve been without a bathroom for weeks already and they could care less about doing anything to expedite the process. Then, they contact us again and push it back another day because the schedule was full. Meanwhile, Im having to constantly reschedule the contractors coming in behind them. But again, they dont care and make no effort at all to help. I will definitely never use them again and wouldnt recommend them to anyone else. There are tons of places to get granite/quartz. I would avoid these guys.

My wife & I recently had Absolute Stone install quartz counter tops and decorative mosaic tile backsplash in our home. All of the craftsman that came & worked in our home were top notch...from the template completion to the tile install, everything went perfect. They all arrived at the designated time. They were polite, professional & respectful. The counter tops were being installed the morning of a winter storm. The installers did not rush & stayed to finish the job even though I suggested that they could return at a later time. The tile installers arrived early morning the day after & removed snow from our driveway to ensure that they had ample workspace. They even suggested a modification of our window sill to ensure the proper install & aesthetics of the backsplash. We have 39 sq feet of tile so they worked tirelessly to complete the job. We highly recommend Absolute Stones staff from the showroom to the craftsman they have in the field. Great experience!

Absolute Stone is the absolute worst! The salesperson had an attitude, like she was doing me a favor helping me select stone countertops for my bathroom renovations. When the time came to install the countertops I had paid a big deposit for weeks earlier, I was told that my quartz was now out of stock and to come pick something else. Of course it was $400 more for a similar material to what I’d originally picked. Then three of the five countertops and the shower curb all had issues when installed (too short, too long, stained). It took another couple weeks and multiple phone calls to get those issues resolved. Their attitude from the very beginning was that we were on THEIR schedule, despite trying to coordinate all the other contractors affected by their work, and we never felt like they cared about our business. Very disappointing experience and I would ‘absolutely’ not recommend them. But in the end all the countertops do look great. Calls to the owner to share our experience were not returned, which is the reason I don’t feel bad writing this review.

I very rarely write reviews but i feel compelled to write this one two years after our tops were installed due to such a terrible installation. We have had these countertops for a couple of years and the tops themselves have been fine. Initially, they did not caulk under the counter tops where it was visible and they offered to come and do it but i just had them provide the caulk and did it myself and it was no big deal. The reason i am writing this 2 years later is that they installed the sink drains incorrectly. They installed the drain with the incorrect retainer ring and the only thing holding the seal was plumbers putty. It gave way on my 81 year old mother with a sink full of water. The person installing the retainer ring had to know this because you cant tighten the ring properly on the drain.

Horrible experience and incompetent sales person, Elizabeth. After getting a installed quote over the phone my wife and I drove 40 mins after taking off work only to be told that there was a min (asked and told no, by the sq ft was available for this product on the phone) and the price doubled.I asked why they quoted me a different price and what changed, smugly she responded with well there is no quote on file. No apologies, at least not sincerely. I have worked in the design business and commercial construction as well for 20 years and this is by far the worse experience I have ever had and the worse I have ever been treated.

BEWARE!!! Run to any other competitor! You might be forced to accept damaged wall paper, scraped paint and damaged window trim, but they also force you to pay more if THEY damage one of your appliances. I had asked before work started if there was to be anything to be aware of during the process, the customer service manager said no. I asked about cutting on site and he reassured me there would be no cutting. I should have gotten a clue right there, of course there is. The fumes from chemicals were horrible all over the house and choked me and my dog so we had to go outside - therefore missing them cut the front of my appliance with the stone. They left without admitting to it or drawing my attention to it. For the next 2 months I waited, they made me feel like they were doing me a favor by replacing the door they damaged. I missed 2 hours of work for them to make the repair and the customer service mgr actually laughed when I told him he owed me a refund for the extra time =money I spent on their damage. Plenty of competitors - choose ANY other one. I wish I had.

I recently had a great experience with an Absolute Stone sales specialist, Lindsey Schrader. As a walk-in, I met Lindsey who just happened to be available on the sales floor, introducing herself jumping right to action. I was shopping for both countertop stone & eventually back splash but knew very little about the options. We were leaning towards quartz but that was about all we had decided. I hit the jackpot with Lindsey. She immediately took me under her wing, providing me with a complete overview of what was available (even providing me info about less expensive options). I like to decorate but by no means, am a designer...it could have been overwhelming but my interaction with Lindsey put me at ease. In a very short time & over the course of a couple of visits, she was in tune with my tastes & provided me with great options. She was extremely patient, personable, very attentive...when she committed to providing quotes, pictures, samples, etc...she honored her commitment in a very timely manner. Often times, Id have an email waiting for me before I got back to my computer. The whole experience went so seamless. Although we were prepared to wait, we decided to install backsplash at the same time. Once the final choices were made, Lindsey hand-held the whole installation from start to finish even with the impact of winter weather. She was a complete pleasure to deal with & I would highly recommend her. She helped to create the kitchen of my dreams! I could not be more pleased with the experience that I had with Lindsey as a rep of Absolute Stone.

Our whole experience with Absolute Stone in Cary was A+. Our first visit was with Melissa who walked us through the whole process of choosing the stone, sink, etc. She walked us through what to expect before, during and after our countertops were installed. Crew came in on the date and time that were told, expertly installed the countertop and were gone in a couple of hours. I could have believed the difference this made in our kitchen. We had a couple of follow up questions that were answered promptly and professionally by the service manger, Lodie. We requested to have a crew come to our house for a follow up and clarification on how to clean and seal the counters. They were there on time and, again, were professional and wonderfully friendly. We would recommend Absolute Stone to anyone for all your kitchen needs - great service and their price was about 30% less than we were planning for - always a nice surprise.

Our finished product looks great, thanks to Wayne and crew at Touch-of-Tile. The problem with Absolute Stone is that they choose to do business with companies like Daltile, which took FOUR AND A HALF MONTHS to produce and deliver tile for a simple backsplash. After placing our order, no one did anything with it for a month because the tile had to be sent to production (i.e. it wasnt in current inventory) so they werent sure if we wanted to proceed. Then Daltile produced the incorrect number of specific amounts of tile so it had to be sent BACK to production to correct. In the midst of this, Absolute Stone did not communicate with me - I had to follow up multiple times, including when my sales representative was fired (and no one contacted me; I learned from an automated email response that she was no longer with the company). I will say that I gave two stars and not one because Melissa stepped in and got things done for us. She was great and even managed to get us a small refund for the inconvenience of waiting (I had to ask for it, but still). I know most of this isnt Absolutely Stones fault, but 4.5 months is ridiculous for a kitchen backsplash. If you choose to do associate with different companies/suppliers/etc, then you become responsible. I would not do business with this company again.

The company sells granite for a good price. That is the reason I went with this company. However, their customer service is poor. They have different Mexican crew who comes to measure and different ones to install. The measuring crew was informed that I wanted steel reinforcements which they did not write on their workup sheet. The lady I was working with at the Absolute Stone, Julie, was also informed that I wanted the steel reinforcements for the granite hanging out at breakfast nook. However the installers had no clue. I was told by Julie that the reinforcements need to be in place first and then granite goes above it. Even though they did not have the reinforcements the installing crew went ahead with installing the granite. They mentioned that someone will come and install the reinforcements later that day. I spoke to their boss Lody Smith, who mentioned that some one would come by later that day which did not happen. I waited till 7:30pm then went out for diner. When I reached Lody Smith the next day, he mentioned that the person came after 7:30pm ( which I later found out was not true). Meanwhile I left them a message that I had noticed some dents/ pits in my granite. I wanted them to fill it up. A week later their steel reinforcement guy came. I showed him small dents/ pits which were in my granite. He said that the company had not mentioned to him about pits/dents and just left while I was on phone trying to reach Lody Smith, their boss guy. Lody mentioned that I should take pictures of them and send it to them at the email address he gave me. I took photos and sent them via email. I have no response from them till now. I am tired of having to follow up with these people. Their service is poor. If you are looking for a pleasant and smooth experience you may want to look into another company.

We had originally picked out new granite for our kitchen from another supplier but the slab wasnt as nice as we expected. Since we had used Absolute Stone for our bathroom we went to their showroom and picked out a very nice slab with the assistance of Joanne Whelan. Joanne had some great ideas about a new backsplash and showed us several tiles and combinations. We selected tile and within a week Absolute Stone was installing the granite and backsplash. We particularly liked the precision their associate used for measuring the stone and the fact that they allowed us to participate in laying out the pattern for cutting the stone. We have a very long countertop and they were able to cut it with only one seam required which is virtually undetectable. They put the countertops down in one day. The next day Hector and Jorge came down and put the backsplash in. They spent 12 hours but got it completed in one trip. Despite working 12 hours they took the time to clean up and leave the area as clean as when they arrived. I cant say enough about how great Absolute Stone was. I would recommend them to my friends with no hesitation.

We had our kitchen and island counters and backsplash, utility counter, bar counter, and fireplace surround outfitted with granite from Absolute Stone over a period of 6 months. (~ 130 sq ft.)The sales help is a little sparse; once you meet with a sales person, email communication makes things easier. Templating is straight-forward; though, as with all their on-site help, communication in English was difficult. The granite is good quality, and the edging, seams, and fit are well done. The installers are VERY hard working, and arent finished until you are satisfied. They perform whatever on-site modifications to the stone are necessary to ensure a proper fit. Faucet holes and top-mount sink holes are CUT on-site, so prepare for the dust, and lots of it.They dont charge for holes being cut like some other places do. Some caveates: I had to watch during templating and installation to ensure what I had asked for was being done. It seems that details told to salespeople dont make their way to the installers. Finally, we provides small samples for color matching that we never got back. We even provided a sample for the island, and when it showed up, it was wrong. They promptly took it back and made a new one with the proper color. The Pros:* Good cost on materials* Hard-working fitters and installers* Accurate templatingThe Cons:* Not enough Sales People* English as a second language for staff* Disconnect between sales people and installersAll-in-all, we will soon be using them again for bathroom renovations.

I wanted a nice granite countertop to upgrade the house we are preparing to sell. We needed to replace about 35 square feet of laminate countertop (and backsplash), and arranged with Absolute Stone to install what they said was the most popular color, New Venetian Gold. The installation includes a basic 50/50 double sink, but I paid $50 more for a 40/60 upgraded sink. Cost was close to $1600 overall.Likes:- The stone looks very nice and the installation was good, but not great. They took a few shortcuts.- The price is quite good for this area. I looked for other places that had stone countertops and could not find a price as low - but I have since heard that there are others locally.- They allowed me to let them in to do the install without having to stay and watch. But I think it would have been smarter to do that if I could. I couldnt take the extra time off work.Dislikes:- The new countertops were about 1/2 of an inch shorter than the originals all the way around. This had consequences that affected the appearance. I probably should have figured this out, but they didnt mention it.- As a result, there was a 1/2 gap between the top of the new backsplash and the freshly painted walls above. This gap contained broken drywall and needed to be repaired and repainted. It required two applications of spackle and then the paint. So be prepared to have this done if you are upgrading from common laminate (about 1-7/16).- The installers didnt wait for me to look at the results, even though I was ten minutes away. They called to say that they were leaving and hit the road. I was there a few minutes later.- They had used caulk to seal the backsplash to the damaged and broken wallboard in this 1/2 gap everywhere. Extremely unprofessional! This caulk had to be scraped off by the interior painters.- Another problem: I have a GE electonic stove with a cooktop that extends to cover the countertops on 3 sides. Because the new granite countertops are shorter, the cooktop was now 1/2 above the countertops all the way around. Even when adjusted to the lowest height settings, theres still a significant gap.- Absolute had several chances to mention this (initial estimate, template build, and on arrival to install) but never did. So now I have a high quality stove that no longer fits very well.- It was a lot of work to reconnect the plumbing after they finished. I found the old drain piping had been completely removed and dropped into a nearby wastebasket (including the water it contained). I had disconnected the pipes in advance, but I guess it was in the way.- You have to sign many, many disclaimers when you buy service from them. I found this exasperating. Yes, I know that all granite is slightly different. Yes I know that no installation is perfect. But that does not mean I like to sit and sign paragraph after paragraph of legalese when contracting services. I have purchased service from about 20 different contractors this year, and their amount of legalese was the 2nd worst.I would still consider buying services from Absolute Stone, but I would take a close look at the alternatives first - and look online for more references.Scott C. in Cary
