We recently relocated to NC and wanted to redecorate our living room and jazz up our master bedroom. We worked with Janet Wendel in Cary. The whole process was extremely smooth and we love our new stuff. She suggested items that were consistent with our taste and the rest of our house, she was helpful but not pushy, she gave us honest feedback when we made unsuitable suggestions. She was extremely pleasant to work with and immediately set us at ease. We ended up with a totally updated look and comfortable furniture for our living room and bedroom. It was one step shopping: furniture, rug, wall paper and drapery. We highly recommend her to anyone looking to decorate, update or re-do their rooms.

Ethan Allen was recommended by friends because of the option to “design” our sofa. We were so impressed with the personal attention as soon as we walked in the door for our appointment. Even down to selecting the fabric they were patient and helpful.When the furniture was delivered the men took great care with it. After they left I noticed a spot in a fairly inconspicuous place and called the delivery team. They came back immediately and removed the spot.Also, the sofa is beautiful and looks great in the room! Great designer to help us choose our loveseat and fabric. Sandra was wonderful to work with and kept us informed regarding shipping. We ordered in May and finally got it in Early October due to Covid. Delivery as good and we are happy with our purchase. Ethan Allen furniture isn’t cheap but worth the money as you get what you pay for.

Lexie Bennett absolutely transformed my formal dining room and master bedroom! Not only does she have a keen eye in pulling together pieces and accessories to make spaces beautiful,, she also listens to her customers. The designer was a mess. Poor communication and follow through and design work. But it is a pandemic. I am fortunate to get any furniture. The stuff I ordered (after working around the unhelpful designer) is good quality. Three area rugs. Delivery was excellent. The young men were careful and professional and invested in getting it just right. I had plans to furnish most of the house with EA but its not worth the design experience. I ended up going with a mix of Modsy and a local designer to furnish the rest of the house.

My experience with Daniel in offering his exceedingly skilled expertise in designing my living room, master bedroom and kitchen was exceptional.His most prominent attributes include his ability to understand your style, listen to your design goals and translate it all into a beautiful, cohesive room that you dont want to leave. I have had a really excellent experience so far with Ethan Allen. We recently moved to a new home and our furniture didn’t work well in the new spaces. Sharon Gatt, a designer from Ethan Allen in Cary, came to our house. I decided to start with just asking her about window treatments in my master bedroom and furniture for our living room. Sharon took the time to understand our style and our objectives, and measure all the spaces. She immediately had great ideas on what would work best in the space given our traditional taste. She was never pushy and I felt I could object to any ideas she had and that she was glad I gave my opinion. After Sharon’s home visit, I was able to meet with Sharon in the showroom and review fabrics and see the furniture and accessories that she was suggesting. Then Sharon created a printed out floor plan that showed how all the pieces we chose would look in the living room— this was very helpful to me since I’m not great at visualizing how it would all come together. We were so happy with how the living room came together that we asked Sharon for help with 4 other rooms- our kitchen, dining, library, and media room! We love that since Ethan Allen has elegant pieces as well as more casual pieces plus thousands of fabrics —we could use the same designer for our whole house. The quality of the furniture, window treatments, rugs, and accessories is top of the line and each piece is beautiful! We are so happy with Sharon and Ethan Allen and highly recommend them!

I let her know and she showed me what she had that I was describing. We knew we wanted a quality piece of furniture that was solidly built and upholstered in high performance fabric. It was very nice to be able to walk around the showroom and get ideas. While it was nice to be able to take fabric swatches over to the sofa to get an idea of how to upholster it, I would have liked the ability to see the sofa online as part of the selection process. Some other furniture sellers offer this service and it takes the guess work out of the purchase. We ended up using another sites service to visualize what we were looking for and recreating it at Ethan Allen. The online design element is not up to speed at EA but the furniture is quality. Luckily, the sofa we purchased came out beautifully and we are very pleased with the fabric we choose. Its very comfortable for lounging and has handled a toddler and a cat very well. It looks nice, too!

Forty years ago we bought two rooms of furniture from Ethan Allen. We decided to try and match the stain and add beds for our twin grandsons. During a pandemic, this is truly difficult. We live fifty miles from Cary. Janet Wendel handled the whole problem with expertise. Because of her fine skills, we stayed home and remained safe and calm.

Over the past few years I have purchased several items at Ethan Allen in Cary. Most recently I worked with Caroline to refurnish my family room. I was very pleased with the selection of fabrics for my sectional and the choices I had for table lamps. I am very happy with my new family room and really appreciate all of Caroline’s guidance.

Rebecca Reed brought design skills, patience and honesty to our choices. With one house visit, she remembered colors and lighting. She went with our design personalities but didn’t let us make a mess! Fab Fabulous Fun

I wanted to reupholster an Ethan Allen sectional that I had purchased years ago at Ethan Allen in Cary. I returned to Ethan Allen Cary and met with Janet, one of the designers there. Janet helped me with fabric choices to address both functionality and aesthetics (including looking up my paint color), as well as recommending a company to do the reupholstery. She came out to my home with the fabrics so I could make the final selection with my familys input. Once seeing my home, she also selected great fabrics for the toss pillows for me to choose from, that will pick up the colors in my artwork. I plan to work with Janet on some other design projects and would recommend her.

Such an amazing experience visiting the Ethan Allen store in Cary. The receptionist was very courteous and the designer listened to our needs and offered many options to customize our recliner from an adequate selection of styles. The workmanship on the chair is superb. The reclining motor is quiet and very smooth. Having the chair delivered was an extra bonus and the arrangements for delivery were exactly as discussed. We will definitely return to Ethan Allen.

We walked into Ethan Allen Cary with the idea of looking at fabric for our dining room chairs. Lexie Bennett approached us and we started our search. To make a long story short, we not only got our fabric, we also purchased 2 rugs, and did a redesign in our bedroom including paint! Lexie was the best! It makes a huge difference when you are able to build a strong working relationship with a designer that understands your needs and has a true passion for the design process. My only recommendation to EA corporate would be to more closely follow your veteran customers over time and reward their loyalty with some type of VIP program.

I ordered a bed in store and the platform was not delivered after waiting 2 months. It took over a month to get the platform and to be able to use my bed. Make sure the orders are placed properly in the store.

Full disclosure, she is my mother but she has been putting fabulous spaces together for clients long before she had me.I admire Janet’s ability to understand her clients likes and dislikes and translate that into a beautiful, liveable space. Her clients trust her to bring their vision to life. Best of all, many of her clients become her life long friends.

This was my first time purchasing anything from Ethan Allen. I can say, this was definitely a wonderful experience. From the selection of a new bed to explaination of a new mattress. I moved from Brooklyn, NY in March of 2018. I moved with my original Ethan Allen furniture which I selected with the help of their NYC designer 18 years ago. I spent months hunting for furniture and untold hours this time until finally I said: Are you crazy, Woman- go to Ethan Allen and just look! Allie Jensen met me and understood my effort to use most of my existing Ethan Allen. I went from a 800 sq’ Brooklyn home to a 1,600 sq’ one so I had big pieces to buy to fill in all that wonderful new space. Allie came to my home and at our next appointment she showed me the layouts which she had created. Not only did she suggest wall paint colors but also the refinisher and upholsterer to revamp my NY pieces. She helped pick the stains and fabrics for my NY pieces. Similar to my Brooklyn home, I receive sooooooo many compliments on the furniture choices and particularly the paint colors. This is so important I have found. You can have beautiful furniture but if your walls are blah-the effect is diminished. Now everything flows beautifully, I am settled and thrilled. This is my second home which was decorated with the help of a talented EA designer. I feel the service was exceptional, they listened and heard me.

We purchased a sofa from Ethan Allen in Cary, NC.Great experience with Allie our designer from the Cary, NC location. She was very knowledgeable and willing to help get us exactly what we wanted. We could not be more happy with our designer and our new sofa!We were a bit displeased with the time it took to schedule a delivery. Knowing it was completed but having to wait was a bit disappointing. My card was also charged twice and it was very difficult and a bit frustrating to have this rectified.My fiance was home when the sofa was delivered, he was very impressed with how the delivery crew worked to ensure our sofa was well taken care of!
