One of my best museums Ive been to with curated western art, sculpture, and history. The building is modern and new and I found the artwork stunning, with a mix of paintings and photographs of indigenous people, settlers, and scenery. I really liked the real stagecoaches that you can see up close, because you feel cramped and hot for the passengers.

The prices are definitely reasonable compared to other museum, would definitely recommend going if your in Carterville.

Booth Western Art Museum is the largest collection of Western art east of the Mississippi River. My visit today was after 4 pm on the first Thursday of the month and admission was free. Tonight was also a free family night and it was crowded, which was a good thing with activities, crafts and a scavenger hunt for children. It was so nice to see families enjoying their visit at this awesome museum. The western art includes landscapes, portraits, modern art, sculpture, handcrafted artifacts, and photography. There is an exhibit on the U.S. Presidents that is interesting.

What a treasure to have this in Cartersville!! Prices very reasonable. Took our group of 7 over 2 hours to see everything. My favorites were the sculptures located outside the entrance. War is Hell and The Presidents Room were my favorites!! The paintings and photography were exceptional! All exhibit areas are spacious and remarkably clean.

Went on a tour here for free with my job and was treated to lunch first. The place looks and is amazing. Had some very significant collections that illustrate an adventurous and interesting piece from the native American and western cultured history. I definitely learned a lot and would recommend it to anyone reading this. Those who work here go out of their way to make sure your visit is memorable, satisfactory, and something to do again in the future.-much thanks from the local Hampton Inn! We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly 😊

Some of the paintings in the collection were breath-taking, the facilities were also very impressive for a small town, and the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. I know things change out but I would have loved to see more of an emphasis on the cultural diversity of the west including the Hispanic heritage influences within the southwest. But overall it was a great way to spend a rainy Sunday, so glad to have found it!

My wife and I were staying in Canton for 4th of July weekend and decided to come check this place out after a nice kayak day on Lake Allatoona. I’m so glad we did. This was a highlight of our trip. The museum is absolutely stunning, inside and out and extremely clean. The staff is friendly as well. They have tons of artwork, including paintings, photographs, sculptures and artifacts, relating to the American West. They also have an unexpectedly amazing presidential area with all kinds of details and letters from all the US presidents. That was my favorite part. I can’t say enough how great this place is. Once we thought it was over, we walked around a corner and there was more to see. You definitely get your money’s worth which is around $12/ticket. I want to go back in the future.

The museum is about an hour outside of Atlanta and is well worth a trip. Be sure to start with a tour of the outdoor sculptures before you go in to view the intro movie. The museum is full of old fashioned and modern cowboy art and artifacts. When I went, they also had a special exhibit of Andy Warhol art. The museum also has a nice gift store and a cafe. The first 2 pictures concern my favorite piece of modern art, The Spirit of the Medicine Man. The last three pictures are about Fred Fellows who appeared in the intro movie and whose work is displayed at the museum..

Totally awesome so glad to pull off the beaten path. Theres so much that we miss in this world. Just get off the expressway once in a while this was the top museum in the nation as far as cowboy. What some great history, OH YEAH I forgot were supposed to tear down statues. And eliminate history as we know it. We need to get back to how the world was built. Such a wonderful country that everyone wants to come to. And the ignorance of the people who want to destroy it 🙄. What a beautiful museum well taken care of so happy that we ran across this wonderful place.

They are super friendly there and the customer service is great. Prices for souvenirs arent bad at all. They have soooo much art to look at. I dont consider myself an art person whatsoever but this place was incredibly fascinating. I LOVED the presidential section of this museum and it was extremely fascinating. I learned way more than I ever imagined. Wonderful experience. All thanks to a billboard advertisement we noticed while making a pit stop in the area! Lucky us!
