Clean and Nostalgic place sitting on The Corner of Vinyard and Holt Ave. Nice and a friendly staff and The smell of great American food in the air. Fair and reasonable prices and Good portions . Recommend to anyone seeking the lost art of a great family Dinning Experience.. The San Franciscan Burger π combo is what Im having. Will post pic of the food as it comes out. π
Stopped in after a long grueling day at work, freezing from the cold wind.. and I found the best roast beef sandwich ever, served with huge crunchy fried zucchini wedges. The lemon meringue pie finished me off beautifully. Ahhh... Carb coma!! Very good service and reasonable pricing. 30 percent tip to my patient waitress. Bravo.
I usually have spires but it was before the pandemic and it was always 5 stars easy. My last experience was okay I was not to impressed. I can definitely tell itβs a different line cook. I had a country fried steak and eggs and the gravy tasted a bit old had a burnt after taste. I ordered the home style potatoes crispy but they tasted more like water for some reason if that even makes sense. It had way to many onions, I donβt mind onions but it had the 3 times the usual amount. Service was okay couldβve also been better. Iβll still come back because spires has been one of the restaurants Iβve been going to for 20+ years. Maybe it was just a bad night in the kitchen, I totally understand that Iβve been in those shoes. Itβs located right next to the Ontario airport right off of Holt blvd corner of vineyard. If you are near by definitely stop by and try it out let me know what you think. Iβll be back, just if Iβm in the area I donβt think I would drive out of my way for it for a while. One big plus is theyβve upgraded the restroom it is so nice !

This was the worst service Ive had in a restaurant in a long time. Things started out well but soon I had soup salad and my main course all in front of me before I was even half way through my first course. This was true for all four of us at the table. Then one asked for honey mustard for her fish...the waitress never brought it, never cleared the soup and salad dishes and never checked back until 3 of us had finished our meals and the 4th said she was still waiting for her honey mustard. We asked for to go containers and ordered our desserts. The waitress brought our containers right away, but it took over 20 minutes to get our four deserts and one was wrong and took another 10 to get that one corrected. The food however was very good and well presented. The place wasnt extremely busy but they did seem short staffed or not working efficiently as on waitress seemed to be not as busy as our waitress. I would not recommend this restaurant based on this service but because the food was good and well priced I would give them a second chance. We were there 9/30/21 at 5 pm and didnt leave until almost 7 because of such slow service.

Long wait ... They dont tell you that the strawberry pancakes whip cream on them. It was alright, lots of choices. The host was not friendly unfortunately, but they are probably under staffed....i saw a cook also cleaning off tables and pouring coffee? I would recommend but it didnt seem very special
Have been coming here for 7+yrs now! Never disappointed at all. The French toast is bomb. So is the β coffee. And very reasonable prices as well. The staff is really nice too. π check it out if your ever in Ontario βππ€
1st time in 40yrs Ive been to Spires. I had the bacon cheeseburger with fried zucchini and coleslaw. All delicious, especially the zucchini. My mom ordered the pork chops with mashed potatoes and zuke, without a RBFloat. My fiance ordered the grilled sole with mixed veggies.. Adriana was our waitress,she was great all around. Prices were good for the money and food they give. Will return to try breakfast some day.
Well first of all Im very happy to be sitting down in a restaurant again out here in Ontario California the food was good had a BLT with homemade onion rings really really good lemon meringue pie freshly made really good Im 99% Ill be back there tomorrow services was great every worker that walk by you will speak

Ive eaten here several times. On every visit I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. Ive had breakfast and lunch here. The service was fast, the food was hot, and they kept my coffee cup full. They have a seniors menu that has a lot of choices. The prices are easy on your pocket book. I truly recommend this restaurant.

Standard American Breakfast restaurant, French toast was good, not alot of nutritional value but its taste good, coffee cup is never empty, oatmeal was standard with raisins if desired. Customer service was excellent. I would suggest this for a quick breakfast. Atmosphere is comfortable. Location typically isnt that busy.
Large variety on menu. Service was great. Food was typical of a diner type restaurant. I dont believe they serve alcohol.
Visiting family member enjoyed the food so much, she kept asking to go back, despite us being in San Diego. We both had the open faced roast beef sandwich, and it was super yummy!!!
I have been going to the one in Whittier since I was a kid and moved to Ontario 16 years ago. Coming to this one is no different. Great! quick and accurate service. And it brings back memories. I love the atmosphere. Always enjoy coming here.
Nice vibe family restaurant. I ordered the special.. fish, salad, suope, 2 side and dessert.. it was very good special the rice, the salad , the suope.. but the fish it was not that great got some smell not fresh.. sorry owner! I know because its special price but advise never sacrifice the quality for even little profit !! You know what I mean .. but thanks for the rest of the food . . I will come again when I visit Rancho ..
Phenomenal take on eggs Benedict. Buttered English Muffin, hard-passed on the griddle, served with a Canadian Bacon that is both soft and savory. Order your eggs soft boiled for maximum experience.

Fair pricing, and great value and flavor. Our waitress, sorry didnt get her name, serviced about eight tables, and was a master of service. Attentive and efficient, she glided through the order and delivery process. I find it rare to have such a qualified server as we found at this restaurant. If my stay in Ontario California was longer, I would have visited the restaurant more, should I return to the area, I am coming back
They have amazing portions and prices. The staff was extremely friendly and service was quick. I had a great experience! If I lived closer this would be my go to brunch place.
Food was VERY tasty and cooked just right. Service could have been a bit quicker, but they were ALL Friendly and helpful when they finally came to the table.
Spires knows what it is and knows how to do it well. Its super close to the convention center and all of the hotels in the area and doesnt try to be cute. Got the mushroom cheeseburger and my friend went with breakfast for dinner and both were excellent and cheap.The service was efficient and non-fussy and just got it done. Go get your diner goodness on at Spires.

The food had no flavor at all. Our waitress was hard to find and when she did come by she was short and rude. We ended up just paying for full plates of food and getting out of there as fast as we could.

My wife had a terrible experience with customer service at this place! The food is decent enough but when the staff doesnt treat someone that orders food there 3 times a week with respect its just not worth it! They lost my business and I hope they start treating people better! In the customer service industry its important to fix your mistake!

Genuinely mediocre food. Ive had fast food places with better flavors than from here. I ordered the fish and chips, some baked beans, some steamed, veggies, and garlic bread. All of it except the fried zucchini tasted like microwaved school food. Youll probably have a better meal at Dennys
Taste is inconsistent, was satisfied the first day, enough to come back the next day. However, we had an entirely different experience. We ordered the same foods to share but were not impressed we swapped midway as we couldnt finish our own plates. Chicken was well cooked the first day. Fries were unseasoned the next. Servers were okay at best not as enthusiastic or outgoing as other diners.

Service was good, I ordered my steak medium rare, and it came well done, sent it back and was prepared correctly, unfortunately even cooked rare, it was still tough and stringy.

I havent been here in years, literally. It still remains a family owned restaurant. Still has the same great service, everyone is so friendly. It was awesome to see faces I hadnt seen in years, faces I grew up seeing.Food tasted the same, came out nice and hot. We had a big party and even though we were all split up we were all treated well.Restrooms were nice and clean.Vegetable soup tastes as good as I remember. Wish I had remembered to take pictures. The California chicken was also yummy.Hope to be going back soon.

Breakfast specials are under $7 before 11am on weekdays. This classic diner was excellent. Great breakfast selection with the Garden Skillet as a highlight. Lots of fresh vegetables with fresh cracked eggs. The coffee is delicious and they keep it coming. Excellent service, delicious food, this is a great place to start your day!

I ordered thru grub hub for a pick up order like I have done 20 other times! They gave my food to someone else by mistake and they refused to fix their mistake! I had proof too that I paid and put the order for pick up! They treated me like I was a liar I will never eat their again they dont check to make sure the right person is picking up the order and whats worse is they dont vic the mistake the worst customer service ever!!!
