My 2020 KTM 790 Adventure R stalled at the foothills of Sonora Pass. I was able to catch a ride to Walker and get a tow-truck to take the bike and me to Carson City Motosports.We made just shy of them closing. Will was amazing. Fixed the issue for the time being and showed me how to do it myself so I dont’t get stranded again. He also fixed my chain slack and lubed it for me.I also bough a new pair of gloves in their parts department. The person working was awesome and knowledgeable. She helped me pick the right pair of gloves that I have been on the chase for a while.Today, I will have to stop by again before hitting the road to San Francisco due to a short circuit somewhere in the bike which still under warranty. Looking forward to it.

(I did not plan on buying a bike for myself but I couldnt pass up the great deal) The parts dept got him into some great gear, got us all the oils needed and gave us a great discount since we just purchased two bikes. The general manager at Carson City Motorsports is Maya Keller. I had never met Maya before my sons KTM 250 purchase. I can tell you he runs a professional store. His employees are well trained and truly have a customer comes first attitude. I was treated more than fairly and always very friendly and professionally every time I come in. I have had a bad experience at another Carson City area bike shop, and I cant believe the difference in store culture. I will never go to another motorsports store to do business. I have sent friends and family with complete confidence to his store and they have all had the same excellent experience. In retail sales it is all about treating the customer the best you can, Maya and his crew do it the best in his business.

I Was briefly in the market for a newer ktm. Talked with lyle over the phone, decided to drive from Reno to Carson and check out what they had. The used bike I was interested in had high miles as they were honest with me about it. Kyle showed me the 2021 for a couple more bucks and I was sold. First time I bought brand new and the whole experience was fantastic. Never felt pressure to buy or get something else. Everyone in every department treated me with respect and dignity and answered the questions I had. Even made some money on the poker run! Always a great experience- Jacob at the parts counter is awesome, he is so knowledgeable and you can tell he has a passion for motorcycles. I had to find some odd-sized DOT tires and I was at another motorcycle dealer and I didnt even bother trying to deal with them, so I made the trip to CMS because I knew Jacob would give me the best chance of finding the tires I needed. And sure enough Jacob and Christina took the time to find what I was looking for. As always I am a happy customer when I go to CMS.

Carson City Motorsports is always a pleasure to work with. Jacob, Eileen, and Paul have taken care of me with multiple bike purchases that were smooth and quick. Jacob and the other staff were very helpful in getting my bike parts and knee braces. Its a large, beautiful store and is well stocked. The showroom is in a separate building and is replete with shiny new bikes.

I wanted to write a review about these guys, especially the service team. I live 2.5 hours away, and had my bike into them around 10am, and I received a call before 3pm saying my bike was ready. Though I only had regular maintenance done, they had me in and out of there. I really appreciate them not making me hang around all day waiting for it to be finished, as i mentioned I live 2 and a half hours away. Im very happy with their customer service as well, and will definitely be coming back. Thanks guys!

Went in to the new Indian Hills showroom to look at Vespas. The fellow who was helping me was very kind but he could tell me practically nothing about Vespas, and only three of the dozen or so that were on the floor had any information tags. They couldnt even find the key for the model I was interested, nor could they tell me the price.If youre going to have your showroom open, friends, please be ready to sell the products. I wasnt impressed and probably wont come back. My apologies, because it looks like many of your other reviews have been quite positive.Best wishes in your business here, sincerely.

I came in looking to purchase a 2020 KTM 300. Paul had all the answers I needed quickly, and helped steer me to the bike I really wanted since I was on the fence with 3 different models, and ended up choosing the 300 XC-W TPI. Eileen made the mundane task of financing and formalities smooth and relaxed with her quick wit and great personality. She explained the paperwork for DMV very well (since Im an out of state buyer things are more difficult), and had all of it neatly organized for me to take in. Jesse in Service was very informative and knowledgeable with the machine I purchased. When I asked A question, he had the answer quickly. He even shown me thing that I didnt think to ask, but am now glad he brought it up. Even though I live in the SF Bay Area, when It comes time for another new bike for myself, wife, or kids. You better believe im gonna take the 4 hour drive to see this team again!!! Thank You-

We stopped by in the off chance these guys rented dirt bikes (they dont at the moment but hope to sometime in the future), and to check out the bikes. Steve was super nice and informative, and happily went out of his way to show us some bikes in the back that had been lowered for shorter riders like myself. Steve was helpful, knowledgeable, and genuine, and you could really tell he felt like his customers were family. We look forward to coming back for their KTM demo day!

One of the better motorcycle dealerships I have been too. By far the best in the Northern Nevada area. I drove from California to buy a bike at Carson Motorsports. I was in and out, and saved a lot of money on a Husqvarna, which can be hard to do in Cali. Keep an eye out for scorching deals on Motocross Bikes, if youre into that sort of thing. The staff went the extra mile to earn my sale, even though they didnt have to. A very friendly bunch of people running the place, and they make you feel at home relatively quickly. My only complaint is that they dont sell any Japanese brands. Honda or Yamaha would be nice, because the other dealers in Reno/Carson are an absolute joke.

Jacob was very helpful and patient, and I want to point out that I looked also at the larger 26 liter Klim and while I liked the external tube for the snow probes..i liked the 16 liter pak better because it had external storage for the shovel...which in mnt sledding gets used frequently therefore access and the ability to allow it to drain is crititical...unless you want everything inside of your pak getting soaked! Anyway Yes I spent a lot of time looking at every little detail (though Ive read reviews online this was my first time seeing either pak in person). Jacob was very easy to work with and did not rush or distract me which really helped me in making a full evaluation and making the decision on what would be the best pak for me! OHHH PS the klim advertised Whistle,,,is on the pull zipper cord for the outmost compartment...that had me hung up for a few minutes I almost called to ask where the heck it was!! Thanks guys,,,you do know that the aspect 16 pak is sold out coast to coast,,,no one has them,,and I got it under retail!!!! it doesnt get much better....now if we could get three or four feet of snow..!

Not at all impressed with their restocking fee of 15%. We purchased a pair of Sidi boots from them. They cost us $500. Hadn’t even had them for 24 hours when I returned them and was charged $50 for a “restocking fee”, which was only 10%, so gee, lucky me (NOT!!) In a world where items can be found online for much less, I would think customer service in a privately owned shop would be top priority and pissing customers off would be avoided. The owner tried to tell me it’s because he’d already ordered another pair so now he’ll be sitting on them yet, he didn’t have the size down for me to try on last night. In fact, I wanted to try on another really pricey brand and there were none even close to my size. I suggest, if you choose to shop there, you know exactly what you want, without a shadow of a doubt, so you don’t have to pay their restocking fee. $50 out of our pocket sucks!
