This review should be a four (great prices and produce ...sometimes) but although customers almost always wear masks in the store the employees either are wearing them on their necks or below their noses. When I talked with a manager today she said she tells them to wear their masks but they dont. When I asked a clerk politely to wear her mask over her nose the other clerk said as I left the store, just kill them with kindness. You definitely wont die from kindness from the clerks but you just might get covid from an employee who refuses to wear a mask.

Place is always well stocked. Lots of fruits and vegetables...candy and soda too. Lines move fast. Staff is always super friendly and overall a good experience. Opens early closes late

The people were great but, the signs said. .99¢ only is a lie. Everything in the store was not .99¢ it was very disappointing.

9.99 times out of 10, it is an amazing experience! Great vibes. Service is awesome with friendly & helpful employees. Customers are always in really good spirits, I’m guessing it’s the deals! Even have decent produce! It used to be only 99 cents for everything. It was kinda shocking when stickers and signs starting reading 1.99 and up. Still, when you compare it to other stores, even thrift and second-hand, you can see the savings!! I highly recommend this store and encourage everyone to check it out. My hope is that they keep expanding on their selections. Be mindful to go in when you have time to shop or with a list & self-control, everything catches the eye. An average trip for me is 30 minutes up to 2 hours... so worth it every minute and pretty penny!P.S. it’s a fantastic place to purchase cards, houseware, and GIFTS. All year round. If you haven’t been before, GO!!!!! 👍👍

Although I couldnt find stencils I got everything else I needed ( besides q-tips, I forgot them, thats my fault). The staff was friendly and helpful. No long lines. With there were more signs with prices.

They have really come a long way. Their products are good and the service is ok. Sometimes the cashiers are not the nicest and are way too slow but other than that I love the store.

I love this store❤️. The selection of produce is very good and the manager Angie is friendly and very helpful! If you ask, she will go out of her way to check availability of a certain produce if it isn’t already on display. Angie is worth her weight in gold! I hope she is paid well for her exceptional service!

This is the greatest store. They have a wonderful slection of everything you need.

Employees are great, but shelves are bare, really sad cause they just dont have enough employees to stock the shelves. Love going there!! They need help!

Cent help but wonder if this is false advertising? Says 99 cent only but there are very few items that are actually 99 cents.

I just love this store. I havent been to one of these since we moved here, but when I was in California we would go all the time. This one here in Carson is nice and clean the staff was very nice and the stor was nice and clean. So it was a pleasant place to go and one of my favorite stores to go to. I am so glad they have them here.

Of all the dollar or less type stores, the. 99 cents only store is the one I really enjoy shopping at. Great selection, Very friendly & helpful staff, the store is always bright and clean no matter what time of day your there. A great place to shop.

Why, oh why, do I even think about shopping here without at least a basket in which to put my purchases? I dont think its humanly possibly to walk into this place, buy just one item, and then leave. I know there will be at least a dozen other 99-centers that I wont be able to live without before returning to the safety of the parking lot. Dont be fooled, tho, the stores name is a misnomer. It carries many products costing more than 99 cents...and theyre all worth every penny.

This is a fun store, lots of cheap canned and dry goods, and heavily discounted toys. Always check the end caps because they almost always have hidden treasures at a huge discount. I dont recommend for general grocery shopping, unless you have a very small household, as their selection is very limited outside of canned and dry goods.

I Love shopping here for all kinds of things at least give it a try you have nothing to loose but only gain.

My family and I just love this store. We can shop from home goods, toys, to groceries. Everything is really cheap and pretty great quality. I bought bowls that were microwave and dishwasher safe on my last visit and I love them. There is bound to something for everyone.

Good location and obviously the Price Is Right. Ample parking fairly busy store with a good selection of products. Their produce and vegetables were nice and fresh . They carry additional items that range from a 1.99 to 5.99. Nice that they stay open later, thats a plus .

They had everything that I went for. They were busy with after Christmas sale. Was a good trip I have always been able to find good deals there. Have fun.

What CAN you say? Its the 99 Cents Store. My husband loves to spend an hour there searching the aisles for deals. But I see a lot of redundant products some of which are expired. The store associates are very helpful if youre looking for something specific

I dont understand, theyre getting less and less items on the shelfs. Are they only putting on the shelves what normally sell good in a month and cutting out the items that sell only 3 or 4 per month. Possibly not a bad idea.* But Ive got to tell you this... my doctor wrote me a script or a boo-boo on my arm and the name on the Script isClotrimazole. 1% at a cost with my medicare discount card was $13.45 --> at the dollar store guess what... yes youre correct it cost me $1.They have great deals on some things and others like their gravy mix for a dollar sometimes at Smiths it is $0.89.All in all great deals at this particular 99 Cent Store.

Every time Ive been in this place it is slammed. No matter the time of day. They always seem to have enough cashiers andbthe place is well stocked. My only complaint would be when a product runs low or out they tend to rearrange which means you have to go hunting for what youre looking for. Not a bad thing but the place does a lot of business and that many people gives rise to my anxiety. So its me, not them.

Found exactly what I was looking for. Produce is good for a few more days. Store is kept clean and orderly. New Halloween decor.

Prices are missleading and everything in that store is displayed in a deceitful manner so you dont know what is the exact price of what you are buying. For instance water is more expensive than any other grocery store in the area. They need to display prices in more honest way. And they need not to take advantage of the poor and elderly.

I am a regular at this store. Today after I gathered everything I needed to my surprise my wallet was missing. I started to freak out and rushed my 3 kids out the store so I could find it, forgetting that I had a bag of things still in my hand. A woman working there chased us out the store and snatched everything out of our hands, I tried to explain that I wasn’t even thinking about it and she didn’t wanna hear it. She just kept calling me a thief. I talked to the manager and they just told me I was trying to steal and I can’t come back even when I tried to come and pay for everything. If you want to be threatened and made like you’re stealing then this is the place for you. You might expect this kind of thing if I was at a high end store with hundreds of dollars of merchandise but this is a dollar store, come on.

They have remodeled this store. Pretty good selection on items. Lots of stuff for Xmas and the new year.

I call in and ask if they have drip pans and the girl goes huh what is that? and I hear her ask another girl and the girl goes I dont know what those are and she just comes back on the phone and says we dont have them. I like this place, I really do. My only gripe is their name, its misleading. Even though they call themselves the 99¢ Only Store many of the items that sell are more than 99¢, whats up with that?! Otherwise it is a fine place to shop.

My auntie is a regular here. She thought she lost her wallet and started freaking out and ran out of the store with her 3 kids. Without thinking about it she brought the bag of things with her and threw it in the car to look for her wallet. After she found it and started heading back inside the worker ran out and snatched the bag out of her hand telling her that she was trying to steal. She even asked if she could pay for everything and they just threatened that they were going to call the police. The managers that were working were named Brecklin and Christina. They were both extremely unprofessional and tried to embarrass my auntie in front of the whole store and her kids, even after she was asking to pay for everything like she originally planned. I have managed plenty of retail stores and I would never let one of my workers treat a customer like that, thats horrible for business and theyre GM should really re-evaluate both of their positions in this store.
