Wanted to try something different for our daughters 21 birthday so we went here. Was pleased with most the products. The Grand Marnier was by far my favorite! Excellent flavor. Glad I read previous reviews about the cupcakes being extra moist from soaking them. Supposedly a traditional Caribbean method. Might have been put off not knowing but it actually made them delicious, hate dry cupcakes. The service was nice, nothing exceptional but nice. In all would absolutely stop by if in the area but probably not make an extra trip just to go.

Had an amazing experience from this cake shop. I have ordered two cakes from here one for my daughter’s second birthday and another one for my son’s first birthday. Both of them are nicely decorated and most importantly exactly the way I wanted them at a reasonable price. Very professional and friendly service they provided every time and the cakes tasted delicious. I got positive and strong complements from my guests that this is the best cake in town. I will go ahead and order from them for all the occasions!

We didn’t find their Tres Leches cake very good, it was plain/basic, wasn’t “wet” and didn’t have any good flavors to it. We were super excited to try a local bakery close to us but there are many better options for Tres Leches the cake.

I tried this bakery for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I bought six cupcakes and one piece of cake. I gave three of the cupcakes to my daughter and kept three for myself. The following day I opened the container to grab a cupcake to enjoy and their was liquid in the cupcake liner. I took a bite of the cupcake and it basically fell apart and seemed like it had water in the cake. I know that sounds weird but it was a funky kind of moisture that didnt taste good or seem normal. I went back today to give them another shot by purchasing a piece of cake this time. Came home, took a bite and the same yucky moisture to the cake. Ill skip this place next time.

This was my first time trying this place out. I drive past it everyday coming home from work and finally tried some of their cakes.I got the amaretto cake and the rum marble. The marble one has sweet icing but the cake was on the dry side.The amaretto one has good almond flavor and sweet icing and the cake was more moist than the marble one.The pieces are larger enough to share between two people.

As first time customer, I had a great experience today. The service was quick, and friendly. The owner shared his stories about the bakery as he was putting my order together.I got the Grand Marnier and Red Velvet. It’s hard to keep yellow cake moist, and they did it beautifully. Thin layer of icing which I prefer goes very well with the cakes. The red velvet was a little too moist for my liking but still I enjoyed it.It’s hard to find a good bakery in the area and I’m definitely a fan of this one. Will come back to try other cakes.

If I could give more stars I definitely will. Besides their cakes are the best maybe because they Brings to me the flavor from my country Puerto Rico every time I taste them. My favorite is the amaretto, if you have the chance go and give them a try.My friend at work birthday was today. I forgot completely. I called Friday afternoon and they made her favorite flavor, German chocolate and delivered under the rain Monday, even when they don’t deliver Monday. I’m blessed because I made a friend at work extremely happy. And the cake extremely Delicious. Moisture, soft, fresh, delicious and beautiful.I want you to give a try. Normally not a big cake fan...but their cake are more than just a plain cake, they are RUM cake! These guys have created something beyond this world! The cakes are soft! Delicious! And has a great selection of flavors from carrot cake to passion cake! If you are around the area and have a craving for something sweet try this place!

Their sliced cakes are amazing so I decided to order 2 dozen cupcakes for my friends birthday and they were horrible. Completely dripping of moisture, soggy in the worse way. I am soooo disappointed because I spent over $60 for people to not eat them. My friend who I raved about their sliced cakes and was going to do her bridal shower cake was completely turned off by the cupcakes. Ended ordering somewhere else for her bridal shower cake. This is a warning to anyone thinking of ordering their cupcakes. Stick with the cakes.Update: The owner contacted me and made it right by giving me a whole cake. Thank you!

I always stop by when I’m craving sweets and order my friends’ cakes from here. I love that they have so many flavors and dessert options to choose from. The customer service has always been so helpful and amazing as well. ☺️❤️ Literally everything I’ve tried has been amazing, and if you don’t have the biggest sweet tooth but still wanted to try something I’d recommend the guava cheese bars.

Too sweet for us, if there is reduced sugar option would be great. We have to remove all the frosting to be able to eat the moist cake underneath. Still the cake is a little too sweet.

This is one of those typical bakeries that is just like something you would find in a small community quality product.

Yummy little boozy treats. The Amaretto cupcakes were my favorite! We ordered amaretto, chocolate, and vanilla rum. The alcohol gives it a bit of a weird texture in the middle BUT they are still delicious.

I stopped in to get a rum ball. The counter person was distant and cold. Seemed annoyed that I was there. I was the only customer. I purchased my rum ball. I now know what $3.00 of disappointment tastes like. It was dry. Too cakey. The alcohol had not been burned off, so there was a bitter bite rather than a mellow rum flavor. The rum taste was inconsistent, part of the ball was merely dry chocolate cake.

Rum Cakes Factory is wonderful. I have no complaints about their cake slices. Every flavor I have tried has at least tasted good. All cake slices were moist and sizeable. Several of their flavors are uncommon.Of all the flavors I have tried, I would have Amaretto in my top 3. I also love the Grand Marnier, vanilla rum, and strawberry flavors. The cookies and cream, chocolate rum, limoncello, and red velvet cake slices were great too!I recently discovered this business via Google, and it is now my favorite cake bakery. I know that the business sells other pastries, yet I will stick to their cake slices for the next few months.

Passed by this place few days ago on the way somewhere else close by, but we had to stop in on our way back as the name grabbed our attention. Am I glad we did! As a 1st timer I got the vanilla rum cake, lemon cake & grabbed the carrot cake for my moma. To say that it was just good is an understatement! I was on my way home the other day and saw something that said rum cake first thing that came to mind was the Bacardi rum cakes from Jamaica so I made a u-turn went to this place not what I expected. I ordered a slice of the red velvet, before I even made it out of the parking lot I decided to take a bite I had to stop and go back in and tell the baker this by far was the best red velvet cake that I probably ever tasted in my life and I consider myself a red velvet cake concierge.If you could eat a slice of Heaven I promise you having a slice of one of their cakes is as close as youre going to get. stop by folks grab yourself a slice or a whole cake you will not regret it.

My colleague and I stopped in here on Thursday of last week. When you see rum and cake in the same sentence during a long day of work, you better stop and see what that’s about. This place is so cute, tastefully decorated, and the display of cakes are beautiful. I had the pleasure of speaking with both of the owners who are so kind, caring, and clearly put their hearts and soul into this bakery. I ended up choosing and amaretto cupcake and it did not disappoint! The flavor and texture was perfect and really unlike any other cake I’ve tried. If you are looking for something different and delicious, I suggest you check this place out!

Before going I read the reviews of this place on line and realized the owner was rude and condescending to everyone that didn’t have a great experience. I still decided to give them a chance because of the innovative flavors. The cupcakes left a lot to be desired. The were extremely dry and didn’t have much flavor at all. You’d bake better cupcakes at home from a Betty Crocker cake mix. The Dulce de Leche cookies were amazing. They’d be the only reason I’d visit this place again.

My mom had a crazy cake idea for my dads birthday. Originally they were going to be in Boston for the weekend but a family emergency brought them to Dallas. We came across Rum Cakes by a suggestion from another bakery and we were blown away by the whole experience. The bakery was adorable, the staff was amazing and accommodating for our last minute request, and best of all....the cake and cupcakes were delicious! We cant wait to go back!

My go to place for cakes. Theyre as moist as Caribbean type cakes should be. My favorite is the amaretto but all the flavors are tasty.

I guess I don’t know good cakes because these definitely were not good to me. They were wet, not moist. The frosting was too sweet for me, where as the actual cakes didn’t have much flavor at all. It seemed like if the cakes weren’t drenched with the alcohol that they’d probably be dry. But that’s just my opinion.

Sad to be the first person to rate it less than 5 stars but let me explain and this something I believe can be fixed. I was there with my family this Sunday after church,we tried the Rum Cake and was really good,moist and just the right level of sweetness. Now the reason for the 4 star review is the price point for the slice of cake seems to be pretty high. Not saying it is not worth the price but kinda hard to justify. May be they could introduce a smaller Sampler size as not everyone can eat the whole slice and a smaller portion will surely make it easier to sample a new flavor and make it easier on the pocket. I felt the Cupcakes and the Rusk were a little pricey as well. Great new place otherwise. Hope you consider this suggestion.

We made plans to stop here for dessert, but arrived a few minutes too late. The young man working inside saw us outside the door and let us in to get some cake. We had the carrot, marble and guayava cake. All 3 were moist and amazingly delicious. You can definitely taste the quality and pride that goes baked into everyone of their products.

Fantastic cakes from here and an extremely wide selection. I do suggest if you wish to place an order to do it as soon as possible. They have so many flavors to choose from and usually have some cake of the month or something like that. The lemon cake is fantastic!

Don’t go here. Biggest rip off. My family went and got a tres leches cake for my moms birthday and we got to taste it. Cake with milk and sugar water, and some powdered sugar nasty frosting. Don’t go here!! U will waste your money.
