Service was smooth but $185 to unlock my car is much. For a under 5 min job. Nothin out of the ordinary was used. Found out the price after the job was done. No quote before hand. Besides $30 service fee. Would not shop again nor recommend. You want know how much anything is until It’s too late. Might as well purchase a new key.

I was locked out of my car. I called around to several places before choosing them. They had great customer service when I called and the technician who came to help. Also, they took anywhere from 15-20 minutes to arrive to my location (I was only 5 minutes away, still I was impressed I didn’t have a long wait). The price was slightly lower than others in the area... I believe I paid $65-$75. I would use them again.Update: I was locked out my car again at night time. I spoke with Joanie on the phone, for some reason our connection was really bad and the calls kept dropping. Joanie, text me to find out where I was and kept checking in to ensure I was safe until the technician arrived.I added photos to see the awesome customer service. She didn’t have to call me back after the calls kept dropping but, she did. As a woman, that makes me feel very safe & secure in knowing this company cares about people.

I have been having a doozy of a week and recently my car key broke off in my ignition but the guys here at A-1 took care of everything. Ken came and got the broken key out in an instant and after a short wait he had a new key in my hands and got me back on the road. I’m very grateful for the service they were able to provide me.

They offer mobile services Mon-Sat 6 AM - 11 PM. The store is open Mon - Fri 8 AM - 5 PM and Saturday 9 AM - 4 PM.They are closed Sundays.They offer all kind of security and lock services for doors, automobiles, lockers, residential.The staff is helpful.It will be great if you can call and ask for availability for key duplications that will save you time.

The hours of operation listed on Google maps dont match the hours on the front door. I tried to correct the hours for M-F, but couldnt remember hours for Saturday and Sunday. Employees here know what they are talking about and take good care of customers.

I needed a new car key and its programming, since the one I had was broken. Customer service was on point, the guy on the phone was very clear on information, and gave good advice. Price was very good. The technician called me 10mn later and was here in the next 15mn. I was so stressed about the situation, but he made me feel confident and show great skills and professionalism. His name is TRE MADDISON. Sir thank you! Someone tried before to fix, i paid, no result and copy a wrong key 🤦🏽‍♀️. Mr TRE was very patient, polite and took extra time to make sure car is getting on properly before leaving. At first, the car would start once and not a second time. We were fortunate enough to have Seth Mook come to our home today to re-key a number of locks and replace one of our doorknobs. Seth was very professional, pleasant and efficient. He made a number of much needed recommendations and was very patient in answering questions. Seth works in the Carrollton store.

Used this company a few times to take care of several issues. Most of the technicians are nice, polite and are very straight forward with pricing and labor involved. This is definitely one of the locksmiths I would recommend.

Went in to inquire about a job application and the man in charge of hiring was very curt and rude for no apparent reason. Not sure what they are looking for in an employee, but show a little kindness to those of us who are out of work during this time. A little bit of kindness goes a long way and I hope that this man never winds up in the same situation.

My brother had to pay to have my dads truck key made. He was told between 2pm and 5pm which was fine I was sitting in the hospital with my dad who was in coma. Never heard anything my brother called about 5:30 he was told around 7ish. Cool my fiancé and I went to eat 7:30pm rolled around I called and the guy in the office was full on rude from the start of the conversation just completely unprofessional and there apparently was no manager to talk to. I ended up going home only to be told the tech was 15 min away so I drove the 20 min drive back to my dads truck in Walmart parking. The tech was phenomenal absolutely amazing he was so nice and apologetic as to why it took so long. He was very helpful and caring the Walmart employee had told him about my dad being in coma and this man was was so nice he will be the only reason I ever do business with this company again. He gave me his business card and I will call him directly if needed again. The techs name was kole, tech #254 he is amazing. Thank you Kole for your help and being considerate of my dad being in coma.

I work down the street so decided to stop by at lunch to check out some of the safes and get some keys made. The sales associate was very helpful and friendly, answered all the questions I had. The store was very clean and well kept and had a very welcoming atmosphere. I will definitely be returning to this location.

I can’t brag about how amazing the guys are here! I literally had an apartment emergency and needed keys re-keyed!!! I had been stressing all week because every Lowe’s and Home Depot I went to did not have the brass SC1 key. A-1 was my last hope, I walked in thinking I’d be told the same thing I’ve heard at every store. To my surprise, my problem was solved in less than 5 minutes and I saved $75 bucks. To add the guys working Saturday morning were beyond KIND!! Definitely coming here for all my key issues.

I needed re-keying of 5 locks for a rental property. I called a week or so to schedule the appointment. They said between 10-12. They called me 20 minutes prior to their arrival so I could meet them there from work. They arrived, on schedule, re-keyed the locks, no mess, paid the bill and they were out of there in an hour. A painless, pleasant experience.

I went to A-1 a few months ago in a desperate attempt to get a key made for a foreign forklift we have at work. The five locksmiths I visited before couldnt match the blank (I ended up with 7 useless keys in the process). The manager at A-1 actually knew what I needed, and even though he didnt have any in stock, he spent 30 minutes calling around to find the correct blanks for me. He sent me to their office in Plano, and I ended up with 10 correct keys. Fantastic customer service, and great work. Highly recommended.

This place is amazing!! Open the day after Christmas. Everyone I spoke with was incredibly friendly and helpful. He opened the lock with absolutely no issue and got us back on our way. If I could give more stars I would.

Had a small sentry safe that had a broken handle and needed to be opened. They have me a two hour window in which to expect the tech to show up. The tech showed up 15 minutes late. Tech spent an hour drilling holes and trying to pry the safe open then gave up and called someone else to come take care of it. He said the new tech would be there in a few minutes. 30 minutes later I called dispatch and they told me it would be another hour. I called after an hour and they said it would be another 30 minutes. An hour later the guy finally showed up. The entire process took 6 hours. My company wont be using this company again and I dont recommend anyone else does either.

Came in just to browse because I drive past it daily on my way to work and ended up leaving with a safe. I normally don’t buy anything without prior research but I ended up buying a safe on the spot because of how friendly and knowledgeable one of the staff members (Enis) was. Would highly recommend this place !

I had locked my keys in the car at a walmart in Carrollton off of trinity and old denton.. About 4 miles from this location. They quoted me $75 flat. The guy on the phone was a little rude. Definitely doesnt enjoy his job.But ANDREW, showed up about 30 minutes later. Andrew was a really nice guy, very friendly. In and out in 30 seconds. And stayed true to the $75 flat fee.

Enis is the absolute best. I lost the key to the lid to the bed of my truck and he helped me with EASE.. This is definitely the place to go for all your key needs!

An associate named Ed was extremely helpful by letting me know when my particular key would arrive. It was programmed in a timely manner, and the customer service was superb! I will gladly return to this location for all of my future locksmith needs!

I would highly recommend A-1 Locksmith - Carrollton! The locksmith quickly helped me overcome an issue with my front door Baldwin cylinder, which had bad pins. I thought it was just a bad key job, but after he replaced the pins, it was like having a new lock! Thanks!

Don’t waste your time here. They have no idea what they are doing. I waited 45 minutes on my lunch break just for them to cut the key, then when it was cut they dropped the key on the floor and couldn’t find it, and then they didnt even know how to program the fob to my car. I’ll never use this A1 again.

This place is a rip off, they qouted me a 150 dollars for a job which was reasonable but since my car wasnt in there parking lot and had to drive less than a mile where the car was, it was going to be 300$????? Got a different locksmith, that was further and qouted me 150$ and they drove about 10 miles to get there! Another thing the manager or owner of the A1 establishment had horrible customer service.

If you need a locksmith, A1 Locksmith is the best. Benjamin and Al at this location are both honest and hard-working. There are prices are reasonable and I would recommend them to anyone.

I had a broken dead bolt lock so I took the key in along with the dead bolt lock I had taken out of my door. Al Martin was kind an and quick. He had me in and out in just a few minutes. Very professional establishment.

If I could give a worst rating I would. So we took a key that was broken in half and the guy made it wrong. We went back and they were closed. We ended up going to hone depot and they made the car key and it was made correctly. Ill never go back and I wont recommend it.

What a great company! Called because I broke my key and lost the security chip in the key so my car would not start. They were here in less than an hour after I called and fixed it less than 5 minutes, all for much less than the dealership!

This Place is a Trash and no Customer Service at all, I think he(Martin) is a racist dog. I called them before going to their store in Carollton, When i reached i came to know that his programming machine was down and when i asked him(Martin) why didnt you say that on the call he(Martin) did not have an answer and said he(Martin) forgot his machine was down. I was frustrated and asked him do you have any other branches then he directed me towards Plano location.I called the Plano Location and asked them if they are open they said yes and said the Price would be $125, contradicting the price quoted earlier of $50 for Programming and cutting the key using the machine. I mentioned that i has spoken earlier on the call at the carollton location and he quoted a price of $50, I was placed on a brief hold and they spoke among them selves now Martin said them that he did not quote a price which was false.Later they said on the call that Martin said he did not quote a price and they again placed me on hold, i was able to speak to a manager and this guy said that we usually charge $125 but i will do $100. I was so angry and later said - Thanks for wasting my time to this they did not even Apologize for this rude behavior.I am not visiting this store any time in future.

This is a full on locksmith shop. I have been there several times, if you need keys made locks rekeyed they are capable. But I have found it is hit or miss depending on tyhe employees who are there during your visit. This last time I had a company truck that the tool box key had been damaged ( it was not broke in the lock). They did not have a blank key nor were they able to pick the tool box lock. I ended up having to go to the tool nox makers website and ordering a set of replacemebt keys for $9.95 and having them 2 day shipped( additional $22). I was willing to pay A-1 more if all this could have been done during my visit, but the man working that day had an unending list of things he couldnt do and the reasons why he couldnt help me. I prefer to deal with people who have a make it happen attitude.

Al is very helpful and patience and always had a solution for my lock needs.

Mr. Paul Obrien tech 214 was pretty kool for a tech. He has great taste in music and did a wonderful job of providing me a new key after i broke mines in the car door. So thank you very much Mr.Paul, ill never forget u. A-1 locksmith yall did great by hiring him.

Not open on sundays

Somehow managed to lock myself out of a keyed bedroom. A-1 got there about 30-40 minutes after my initial call. When he got there, he looked at me and says you couldve unlocked this with a credit card. I explained the household had tried that among other things. He then promptly announced it was going to be $85.00. In most cases, I wouldve sent him packing at that point, but i was tired and didnt want to mess with it and I assumed he would open it, by making a key ( which was the whole problem - we didnt have a key!) After about 30 minutes of trying to unlock the door with lock picks and MY credit card, he finally pulls out his drivers license and pops it open. One would think that for $85 we could atleast have gotten a key made for the door but instead we got a door jimmied and now have to go spend more money buying another door knob - because that one is now damaged. Happy? Nope. Total RIP OFF!
