06/02/21 I went here to get a new battery for my 2016 Honda Accord Sport because after having it serviced at the dealer I notified that it needed a new battery. I bought one here, it was $50 less expensive, and a very nice young man Alex installed it for me. Great place..

My car kept randomly dying on me and wouldnt start. I took it to 3 different mechanics, but none of them could fix it let alone identify the problem. The young man at this advance auto parts tested the battery, alternator, and starter and told me they were all functional. He said it may be a loose wire. I bought some tools and lo and behold, the problem was a loose battery cable. Changed the battery terminal and its running good as new. 5 stars for that young mans help alone.

One stop for all your auto parts needs. The staff here is amazing. I love the way they serve the customers with a smile. They are knowledgeable and helpful. They loan tool kits here. You can contact them prior to making a visit for tool kit availability. Sometimes some of the tools might not be available.

“Same Day” delivery is misleading on Advanced’s site.Even placed my order before the cutoff. Got a confirmation stating order would arrive before 8pm that day. Order came the next day. They make it so difficult to contact someone. This was my first and last use of this service.

I have been an automotive technician, custom car builder and general service manager for 20+ years. The automotive industry has been my life and over the years finding quality parts and customer service has always been a challenge. I have been dealing with this Advanced auto parts location on a commercial level for years now. The store manager Danny, Assistant manager Julius, employees, Mike, Tim, Tom and all the rest have been awesome to deal with. They have always made me and my business feel like family! I’m a car guy, I buy lots of parts. I just recently moved from the valley (lower portion of Texas dry close to the border) and relocated here to dallas about 7 minutes away. I’ve in my life almost always had a good experience with the helpful people from advance auto until I moved here. Let me tell you the customer service is HORRIBLE. I literally never will go back, I would much rather take my business to your competition if this is how you teach your employees and management team to take care of there customers. I came in today with two returns for two different invoices expecting to get a smooth transaction to store credit for some more items I’m needing for one of my projects. I expected to get credit and pay the difference, and then get some assistance finding out exactly when my parts would get to the store for pick up. What I got was an employee not very helpful at all. He couldn’t give me credit for both of my returns (he could’ve if he would’ve returned both items by I dunno I guess he didn’t feel like it or had better things to do) so instead I got a card with an amount of credit I don’t really need and I had to spend money I shouldn’t of had to spend. Not to mention when I asked about other parts he couldn’t give me info because that would mean he’d have to “look into each one individually” god forbid an employee would have to do something as tedious as that right. Well I will not be going back because of this and honestly that sucks because you guys were literally my favorite and only parts store since I started working on cars. I have to say I was not impressed at all with my visit today. I went in there was just too people at two different registers working with customers the guy kept going out in-n-out and in and I guess he was working with a customer with a battery issue. Theyre was a female isnt working with a customer that seemed to take forever. At this time they were already to people in front of me. So I just did there nobody acknowledge me and Ill saw two or three other workers come in and out of the front door not sure what they were doing but nobody acknowledge me until I waited and got up to the register which was about 10 to 12 minutes. The guy that came in behind me asking me how long I had been waiting because he had walked around the store for a least 6 your 7 minutes and nobody moved everybody was where they are. So I think they just need to be a little more accommodating when they see customers just standing in line and the say something to them, like welcome to advance Auto Parts someone to be with you in just a moment. Something. Anything. Because just standing there for 10 or 12 minutes feels like about 30 when youre not being acknowledged. But I did get what I needed which I thought was behind the counter, but turns out the lady at the register told me that I needed to go to electronics to get it and that cost me another 7 or 8 minutes waiting in line again because two other people had gotten ahead me. It was just not a good overall experience.

Don’t do business with Advanced Auto Parts. They have terrible customer service, and Devalue there customers from the staff to management at the Midway rd Carrollton location. They did not greet me. I waited almost five minutes standing at the front counter; the only customer in the store with half dozen employees walking around and told nothing. I had to ask for assistance then told (I’m doing something your gonna have to wait). I waited another five minutes to be given a hard time on a return, and was told procedures, on returning parts, because I didn’t have a plastic bag for a transmission line. Since we was talking procedures I then told him that when customers walk into a reputable location they should be acknowledged and told in a better way that someone will be with them shortly. He didn’t want to hear what I said with rebuttals. I usually buy from the main location in Lewisville and I have no problems and was instructed there on returns. He then went on giving me a hard time, but did return the transmission lines. What bothered me the most. The store manager all big in bad with his extra large cowboy hat walk up to me not addressing my problems or showing Empathy for my inconveniences or treatment as a customer that have recently done a lot of business with this company directly started with don’t yell in my store, and told me my business wasn’t needed, and he didn’t care if I contacted corporate and inform them of my terrible experience that sounded racial. I as a human should’ve been treated morally and felt I wasn’t. I am a member of a car club and in my profession I work with business owners and celebrities. When it comes to automotive parts I will let them now about my experience and refer them to O’Reillys, Autozone or Summit racing. Corporate needs to higher or send someone to that location and coach on proper etiquette and professional courtesy.

The gentleman who helped us was polite and knowledgeable. They tested our battery, looked up the warranty, and had a new battery installed in under ten minutes. The auto parts batteries dont seem to last super long, but the warranty is pretty nice. I removed one star because some of the products they sell are overpriced and can be found much cheaper elsewhere.

Eric was really great. They were so helpful and Eric helped me figure out the problem was the light bulbs and not the fuse, after checking the fuse for me (which was an ordeal bc of where the box was located). If I coukd have given him a tip, I would have. Everyone in the store was helpful, professional and kind. :-)

Checked website for times. The site shows open until 10pm on Sunday. Got there at 8:05pm. While walking to front door, manager locked the door. He then had to unlock it to let a customer out. I told him their own sire shows they are open until 10, and thier sign even was flashing open. He just sorry, I dont know what else to say and locked the door again. They will not get a dime from me ever.

Mr. Holbrook, with utmost integrity, we at Advance Auto Parts strive to have exceptional customer service as well as automotive knowledge. I stand behind this company and all my employees at this location. Yes, your daughter came in with battery issues. We greeted her as we do every customer walking in our door. She explained to us that she just got her Jeep jumped off by AAA in order to get to our store. She said after 30 mins or so dealing with AAA they had damaged the terminal ends connecting to the battery which resulted in her Jeep shutting off. She asked us to test the battery to see if the battery and charging system were functional or if the damaged cable ends were the culprit. We gladly went out there to test the starting and charging system but could not get a correct reading since the tester automatically defaulted to check connections for an inconclusive diagnostic scan. With that being said, there were two options that she was given. First option was to source her a battery cable for her Jeep, or second, use a battery post shim to fit between the cable end and battery post that AAA damaged. After discussing these options with her, she decided to decline and go else where. We didnt break nor try to replace anything on her Jeep, rather point her in the right direction with our professional advice since she stated she just got dealing with AAA prior to visiting us. She even got on the phone to call you and get your advice. The following day you came in and spoke with two of our team members and myself, and you got a battery replaced at no cost to you and acknowledged that her cable ends were in fact damaged by AAA and not us. Again, we strive to provide exceptional customer service each and every time with every customer, no matter the situation. Danny the manager and Frank the assistant both provided unsatisfactory service on my daughters suspected bad battery. They are a fathers nightmare to have a daughter helpless and stranded to enter their store and they fumble around the battery cable connectors further damaging the fit and shape then, final result is we cant help you. How can professionals make matters worse with no apology or concern about the customers stressful disposition. It is a shame that I have to elevate this issue to their corporate office. #donttouchitifyoucantfixit
