The lunch special is a great deal on a small pizza with lots of topping options. I also highly recommend the ham & cheese sub. The garlic mayo they use on it is excellent. The Italian sub is a good choice also.

Disgusting. I ordered online and got 4 (supposed to be 8) raw chicken wings, that are also whole wings unlike the pictures. Which is weird. Missing their Buffalo sauce. No dressing. but thankfully my pizza is burnt enough for both items, with all the disgusting toppings in the middle like it was folded into a V and then thrown in the box. I’d eat the cardboard from a digiorno before I ordered your food again.

Excellent pizza. It is so excellent that I can even stand the ordering process, which is all by phone and manual and its like I go back in time to 1975 every time I want pizza. But I still love their food enough to bear the horrible ordering system!

I come here for pizza quite often. Its my familys favorite pizza in the area. The only reason I dont give 5 stars is because when they are very busy (like my recent visit on 8/27) the quality goes down noticeably.Pizza toppings and sauce were pretty good but the crust wasnt totally done cooking. It seemed like they had pulled it out of the oven a few minutes early.They also didnt seem to be very well organized when they were that busy. Ill probably avoid them on Friday nights for a while.

Pretty amazing experience. The pizzas were amazing and light. We didnt feel overstuffed from eating them.

This was my first time ordering here and let me tell you, it was delicious and the portions were huge for the price. I ordered way too much because i didnt know. I have had dinner, plus lunch for two days out of 1 meal. I definitely will be going back.

I like the pizza at this place, and the menu has a good variety. It is a little pricey, but hey, if you want cheap stuff there are two mega chain stores with greasy garbage right down the street. Recently, I have REALLY enjoyed the antipasto salad, which actually seems like a pretty good bang for the buck. There seem to be some bad reviews about the staff, but they have always been nice enough to me. I have been there a dozen times or so, but only dine in or carry out. I will return when I am in town.

Just had the Lolita pizza, I have been ordering pizzas from Amantes for years but this was the first time I have ordered this one.Without a doubt this was the best pizza I have ever had. I love honey so you need to like honey before you order it but the honey and goat cheese and garlic was fantastic together. I would order another one for breakfast.

They are so nice, the service is so good like all ways.

Their food is fine but I would recommend curbside pickup or delivery versus picking up food in store. I went in and almost none of the employees were wearing masks and an older male employee flirted with me. Im 17 by the way. I doubt Ill go back here.

I’ve lived in Carrboro for 15+ years and Amante’s has been my go-to pizza joint for as long as I can remember. For one, the food is DELICIOUS. They’re known for their pizza – which is always amazing – but their sub sandwiches are also incredible. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and the quaint venue is cozy and comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

Went here for dinner before a show at the Cats Cradle, happened to be Valentine’s Day and a Friday night. The place was slammed and our pizza came out but our appetizer didn’t. After a chat with one of the managers trying to figure out what happened (it got sent out on on delivery by mistake) we got the appetizer and a discounted bill. She was super apologetic and kind, and went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of. Food was excellent as was the customer service- couldn’t have asked for more!

Missing items. Condiments left off of sandwiches made on stale bread. Missing toppings. After several deliveries like this Im sorry but Im done.

Great pizza!! Favorite in chapel Hill

I got the small Via Bianco, we were there with a large group and the seating was comfortable and clean. Inside is narrow like a typical pizza parlor, but again it was comfortable. The pizzas were all hot right when they came out, and the wait wasnt too long considering there were 6 of us. My pizza was thick with cheese and flavor, and everyones pizza was fresh.

Such a great place to grab a pizza. Not only are the staff friendly, but the service is fast and the food is great! By far my favorite Italian place in the Chapel Hill/Carrboro area

They delivered us a pizza that was burnt on the bottom. I could barely eat it and had to eat around the burnt crust. It just had a burnt taste to it. When I called to I form them, they offered to re-make the pizza or send a coupon. I ordered it to enjoy with some friends and I did not want to wait another 45 minutes for a new pizza so I took the coupon. That act bumped them up to 3 stars otherwise it would have been 1. Where was the quality control?

Ive gone here for years, its always great. Employees are regular people and behave as such; no fake corporate customer is always right politeness and smiles, which I personally find refreshing but some might find off-putting. Pizza and salads are always fantastic.

Okay pizza but I’ve found the people at Amante to be quite rude on several different occasions. They always seem to be annoyed and in a bad mood.

I call to order a pizza at noon on a friday, which I doubt is peek hours. The guy put me on hold once, then after answering the phone told me to hold on multiple times. I had to repeat my order, my phone number, my address, all multiple times before he finally got it, and I promise I was speaking very articulately and there was no bad connection over the phone. I told him extra sauce for my buffalo chicken pizza. He gives me the total, which is far too much for two small pizzas, and we hang up. Half an hour later I receive a phone call, which I was expecting to be a driver saying they couldnt find my house, but it was the cook asking if I wanted tomato sauce mixed into my buffalo sauce on the pizza, or if I wanted extra buffalo sauce. Very strange question. Obviously, I wanted extra buffalo sauce on my buffalo chicken pizza. I hung up... Then I realized that my pizza wasnt only not on the way yet, but not even started cooking yet. So I called back and cancelled the order. I have had their pizza before, and its not the worst pizza, or the best pizza, but its not worth the absurd prices they charge. $15 for a medium pizza that is a very small medium. Im not to the area and I genuinely believe that people who live here have absolutely no idea what good food, good service, and good price is. Im sorry, but if you offer great food for a reasonable price youll sell a lot more of that food than selling good food for a high price, and youll make more money.

Far from gourmet. Definitely overpriced for the quality. We have eaten at other locations and they were great. This location was not good. The vegetables were super thick and hardly cooked...almost like they forgot to put the veggies on till the last minute of cooking and then decided to put them on. We even told an employee who said she would let them know right away, and nobody came out to talk to us at all after that. Shouldve known it was terrible when there was hardly anybody there on a Friday night. :/ Not going back!!!

Terrible experience and mediocre food. We ordered wings and a pizza to eat there and sat outdoors to wait for it. The pizza came out long before the wings and was so sloppy we could barely eat it. No plates, napkins or serving utensils were brought out and the inappropriately dressed worker scurried off before we could ask. My husband went inside to ask for plates and such and they just pointed him to a counter with 3 plates and 1 knife remaining for customer use. Everything was edible but we definitely will not return or recommend.

Pizza was a mess. Somehow they managed to both burn the crust and make it soggy. Substandard.

I happened to have the worst experience. I called and ordered my order and the person that took my order was very rude and hung up on me and the delivery service was absolutely terrible. And the order of chicken tenders and french fries had no french fries. the food was delivered cold. my calzone had a lot of cheese and a little bit of pepperoni but no sauce. It doesnt taste good at all I will not order from here again.

Visited Carrboro last night to promote and conduct an event last night.During a break (we had one hour), I and an another film producer visited Amante for food and sodas (about 8:30PM).I am white--my producer is black.We ordered a pizza, and paid with 28% gratuity when we ordered.After 25 minutes and me asking, the busboy informed us that they had messed up our pizza and another one would be ready in minutes. After 30 minutes, I had to knock on the kitchen window to remind them we were waiting.The bus boy brought out the pizza. No plates, silverware and enjoy.The pizza was not even sliced--and was so hot you could not handle it.And I guess the table was a good enough plate.I asked for a too-go box. The bus boy brought the smallest one they have for an entire pizza. It was all I could do to put it in the box--much less carry it.I went back inside and complained directly to the owner. He said I was being rude although he had my pizza, money and tip.I told him I was going to expose him on social media--and he said to go ahead.He has my money and the pizza. Hes good.I will never spend another dime here, and I recommend you do the same.

Delivery and take out diners BEWARE! I have dined in at this place twice. I decided to order a pizza and pick it up myself. I was told 25-30 minutes till it would be ready. I arrive 45 minutes later and I am told it is not ready and not in the oven. I asked how long did she think it would be? Her reply I think MAYBE, ummm 10 minutes? This was a question not an answer. I asked was she sure about the wait time? IMMEDIATELY the woman standing beside her tells me dine in customers TAKE PRIORITY over DELIVERY and TAKE OUT. I then asked so there is no telling when my pizza will be done if a ton of people immediately walk in? The woman just looked at me. No answer given. Turns around walks off. So here is my recommendation everyone. If you order delivery or take out and they give you a time for when to expect your pizza there is NO TELLING when you will actually get it. You are essentially a second hand customer and they will confirm that if you ask them.

I went there for the 1st time as a dine-in customer. I had already viewed the menu online and narrowed down my choices. The price of the wings per the online menu was $6.99 for 10. I was asked what type of dressing ranch or blue cheese. I asked if I could get both never having tried Habanero Mango wings before. Without letting me know beforehand, I was charged for the additional dressing - and I only got 8 wings. The wings were sub-par, not crisp at all. The wings smelled odd, but I thought that may be the mango. Anyway, I did not have a good experience and cant recommend.

They have good pizza, and whole wheat crust that is not heavy.. Over all we love Amante..
