Wow, havent been to Safeway in a while. Selection is still good, but clerks are less than stellar. Going back to BelAir & SaveMart

Wonderful for specialty items I need for cooking. For weekly shopping, I cant afford it.

Well stocked store, very clean, pleasant clerks.Something needs to be done with the deli section do not trust food prep. Looks as though always overcooked or left out pass expired time.

Very good grocery store. Only one downside, they kept following me and what I perceived as they thought I was stealing. Other than that it was great!

Clean, great service, great employees. I mainly go on Fridays for the deals. Its great to rack up points for money off on gas!!

Its a Safeway. Generally speaking, the store is clean, staff is helpful, and the produce fresh. The butcher will gladly cut meat the way you want, upon request. Only complaint is whiskey is kept in a locked cabinet. You push a button to request staff, which is announced. Seldom do they arrive in a timely manner. Sometimes, not at all. Just ask for anything out of Premium Cabinet at checkout. They will put someone on the job.

This is the ONLY STORE that has my FAVORITE ICE CREAM FLAVOR JAVA CHIP....! I Wish STARBUCKS would bring back/sell their Version of this Ice Cream Flavor....!

I love the Starbucks inside this Safeway. Great friendly staff. Always faster that any other Starbucks. Thanks Baristas your the best!

Actually they are super great competition with our other local stores like Bel-Air and sprouts I like them all but Safeway does killer hot food n the sandwich is always delicious

We were there on a Friday, late morning, and there was plenty of parking close in. Store is clean, well-stocked, and inviting. We found everything we needed. Check out with fast with little lines. We were very pleased and well go back again.

I only go to Safeway to buy off-brand diet cola — something Bel Air doesn’t carry. At least Safeway finally installed self-serve checkout registers. Their Monopoly game is a waste of time, and needing a free membership (card) for lower (but not low) prices is annoying.

I have gone several places at this place, just because the location is convenient but the experience is always bad. I definitely do not recommend it. They have made me wait a long time in customer service without even acknowledging that I was there, two associates and no-one wanted to help me. The cashiers are always nice to the other customers, they greet them and they have a small talk with all of them, no with me. They do not respond when I greet them, they do not say anything when I say thank you and pretty much try to ignore me as much as possible. They definitely dislike people like me that do not look or sound like them. They were successful on making me feel as if my money has no worth. They do not have the sign reserve the right to refuse service but they do apply it by the way they treat you.

I understand that the public is in a hysteria right now. But going to Safeway, shopping for my weekly meals and getting home to find several of the items I purchased are not in my bags in very upsetting. I paid for eggs, chocolate covered raisins and several items and they were not bagged and put in my cart. Safeway this is unacceptable. Maybe Ill just start shopping in other stores not owned by your company.

The store is not following the county mask mandate set in place July 31st. The first time I was in the store on the 31st they were a lot of people not wearing mask no one asking people to put on masks. At the front of the store was a small sign taped to the outside of the door that was flapping in the wind so no one could see the mask mandate notice . I went back today and same sign except taped better and again no one asking people to wear mask. When I asked somebody if they were enforcing it they stumbled over their response and said they didn’t know. I think it’s important that Safeway corporate understands that their stores are jeopardizing their customers health.The mandate is not an option which Safeway fails to understand.. Safeway says they will try to get people to wear their mask. They’re being reported to the county.

This is probably my favorite safeway. They always have what I need. I never have any issues and they finally have a self check out!

Well I had to use the pharmacy next door at the rite aid, and needed to wait atleast an hour to pick up a prescription, for a tooth problem doesnt really matter. So while I waited I thought it would be a good idea to do a little shopping g at the Safeway because they have good stuff and fair prices, and because I wasnt driving I took the advantage while I was close to Safeway even tho I usually go to Wal-Mart for prescription pick up! But hey Im not perfectly happy with telling anyone about it, Im just racking up contribution points for Google maps local guide stuff! (Safeway does NOT have a pharmacy) thank you!

Tracy with an E is a front end manager with a very aggressive attitude. When I was checking out my groceries she was yelling at her colleagues next to my ear (not literally, but not necessary). I leave this review because it was hard to see a young lady be mistreated by a higher up. Very upsetting situation. Hopefully Tracy can be nicer to her colleagues.

Open asking for masks to be warn at this time, public bathrooms available, But no gender neutral ones. Othwr-abled persons access is appropriate and there are special parking spaces for accommodations.

Went to Safeway today to see what they had for lunch.Theres a nice selection at the deli counter if you want a good lunchtime special.I opted for a baked chicken plate.The baked chicken was moist and flavorful.The jojo potatoes were warm and crispy.I took a chance with the macaroni salad and was not disappointed as I usually am.The macaroni salad was simple and tasty.Most times pre made macaroni salad is too vinegary and the veggies are limp.Not so with this salad which left me pleasantly suprised.I will definitely return again for this delicious lunch meal, and I urge you to try it yourself!

Menu. Very nice employees here but poorly managed. Rarely are their enough checkers almost never anyone bagging and not unusual at all to have fetch your own cart out of the parking lot .

This store is clean, bathrooms remain open, the staff at large are helpful. There have been times when there are customers wandering around without a mask and I dont know exactly where the onus falls in those situations. There is usually parking available and a gas station nearby so it is a good place to get a few errands done at once.

Would normally give this store a four star but when I was in there right before Easter and the power was out literally by the light of our phones I was at the bakery writing up an order and it was ready and waiting for me on Easter morning kudos to customer service and thank you for your help

Fast checking which I love.

Place is good. There french bread is spot on. Like there deli. Pretty good deals. Cant really beat there desserts. Could do without the crackheads in the area. Security is a good guy. Overall pretty decent store

The options are limitless. They have nice deals on Friday. I could grab some watermelon or a sandwich for $5. Cant beat that!

My wife and I went in to the Safeway on manzanita and fair oaks and could not believe the customer service that we got. The cashier, Dayvelle , was not only sitting down trying to check people out but was also in deep concentration on his phone on his lap. As he handed me my receipt he could not look up barely one second before staring back at his lap at his phone. I wish I was making this up but the lack of respect being shown was too much.

Store was clean. Parking lot was presentable. My shopping trip was in and out.

My favorite Safeway. Their floral department is amazing. They always have a great selection of centerpieces and flowers. Their employees in general are very helpful as well. The produce is always fresh and beautifully displayed.

Today I was buying groceries in the store, I was with my daughter for 13 years. when we were at the checkout and making payments, she helped me put food on the tape, including the beer that I wanted to buy, but the seller said that since she took the package, I cannot buy it. tell me are they crazy?

Similar to every other Safeway; the choices and varieties are good. Quality of produce was ok but not excellent like I expected for the prices.Best part was that there was no line and that is always great for me!

The bakery manager is horrible. On Tuesday our baker informed us that she had Covid and was unable to do my nephews wedding cake for the following Saturday. We all frantically called every bakery we could think of.. online Safeway Advertises a three tier wedding cake starting at $117. I went into the store and ordered the 3 cakes... a 5in... a 8in... and a 10in chocolate wedding cake and their associate told me what to pay.. the price was cheaper then what I nline said. I made sure to give them clear directions and the associate took a clear picture of the cake we wanted with her cell phone. They were only making part of the cake. I was doing the two other layers and all the gum paste flowers. Plus the grooms cake. Not only did they frost the cake with whipped chocolate frosting instead of the white butter cream I asked for since the wedding was outdoors. But when I asked how the mistake happened since they had a picture. The bakery manager was snarky, rude, and blamed me for the mistake. Telling me I left before they finished filling out the order form. Which was untrue I wrote wedding cake on the prder form myself.. I didnt try to get over in anyway.. She tried to insinuate I tried to cheat them on the price. Saying to me that even though I didnt want them to do any of the flowers because I was making them myself and even though I didnt need them to provide the stacking hardware I should of been charged for those items. She stated that wedding cakes needed to be ordered four months in advance. All I needed from them was 3 chocolate cakes covered in white butter cream. No decorations... no tip work.. Why would I pay for things I wasnt asking for. Safeway requires 24 hour notice for any other cakes. The cake traveled 3 hours. When the five layers were stacked, the safeway layers failed and the cake started to collapsed within minutes. I had to take the top two layers off the cake and set them aside. I believe the manager did the cake wrong on purpose because she is vindictive.

The store is clean, easy to navigate, and has a vast variety of products including a large organic selection. Only 4 stars as I feel its a bit pricey but, honestly no different than other large chain grocers and they get a star subtracted as well.

I usually buy my center of the store goods here. The products on the selves. Compared to the other stores around town, they have the best deals if you are a club member and generally lower prices. Lets take today, I went in without looking at the weekly mailer, but with a list. I saves 50% off of my purchase and I got everything, with a bit extra, I went in to buy. The staff are also generally kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. However, they are not as easy to find as one might think.

This is a good Safeway but Ive read stories of women being nearly abducted from here. Be safe

Myself and another customer stood in line at the customer service desk for almost 20 minutes before someone came and help. Everytime we asked how much longer no one could give answer at all.

This is the main store where I grocery shop. The store is kept clean & everyone is professional, friendly & helpful.There are times (due to my health) Im not able to get out. Safeway has a delivery service, I am so grateful for. Whose delivery drivers are equally clean, professional, friendly & helpful.There have been a couple of errors, but Customer Service was quick to make it right.If youre wondering why I didnt give them (5) stars? They may well deserve five stars, but I rarely give anyone that fifth star b/c I believe there is always room for improvement. And to me, five stars means perfect. God be with you! 😇

I got there right before closing time and the guy that let me in was super helpful and went above & beyond excellent customer service. I really appreciated his help & how he didnt just try to rush me out. This store is awesome!

Cashier Jeff is a piece of work. Older gentleman who sits down while working. Was very rude and condescending. Id rather go to the Safeway on Madison just to never have to see this guy again.

Good: has self-checkout and just for u lower prices, but overall store offers somewhat high prices, compared to another stores, especially at fresh produce department.

Lots of variety but I went at night , in wasnt lots of people but a worker in a tie caught eyes with me in three different aisles.Felt creepy.Otherwise place is great.

We like the produce and the store is clean. However, the store does not have signs indicating that masks should be worn by customers, nor do signs indicate that any enforcement of face coverings or social distancing is made. I have seen many people without masks in the store despite the governor and county health office stating these are required for all indoor spaces, the corona virus is not going away anytime soon, we do not want to shop in a store that does not care about their employees or shoppers. It is a pity to lose customers because they need to protect themselves. We go where the company cares.

Dean in Customer Service has outstanding customer service skills! I wanted to relay this to his boss Director Steve Schlegel. Who responded quickly while I was waiting on for him to come to the customer service counter. I can see where Dean learned his customer service skills. I will continue to shop at this grocery store, because of the great service they showed me.

This Safeway has the best deals and most of the workers put the customers first. Maria is one of the best butchers I have ever met.

There is a chipotle turkey with smoked gouda specialty sandwich that inlove here.

This is my go-to grocery store in my neighborhood. There are a few other places I like better but they are far away. I typically shop for high quality fresh clean foods and cook a lot of scratch. This Safeway has pretty fresh high quality stuff but lately their produce hasnt been as it used to be.

The store is clean, restroom was clean. Items are easy to find & the prices are really reasonable. It was around 5 PM on Friday and the checkout lines were short as there plenty of checkout lanes open.

Safeway usually is very good, plus you earn points for gasoline purchases. One store at Arden & Watt is kind of run down and dirty, understaffed with quite a few bums hanging around.

This folks that run this store dont seem to care about customer service or consistent quality. I tried to order a several cases of water on a few occasions. Never has it worked out for me. Last time I was here, I was over charged on several items. After bringing it to the checkers attention I was told I needed to wait in line as he was already helping the next transaction. Line was six people deep. As per usual only two check stands open. This was 6pm on a Friday. I called the corporate customer service number regarding the five items I was over charged for and they offered me a 10.00 credit. I was told store manager would call me back. Nothing. The two saving graces in this store? Marisal thats works in the deli and Suzie up front.

Clean store, pretty small selection of beef, mostly just cheaper cuts. A little disappointing.
