Most of all, I like that most items are only a dollar. Sometimes the shelfs are a little empty but if you keep coming back you will find what you are looking for.

I was surprised at how many different things were there... for a 99 cent store this place has a big inventory... all the shelves were stocked and there was produce.The 99 cent stores in roseville should learn from this store.

Its okay to have patience while standing in line and keeping your distance. Its all worthwhile to get the prices that you are looking for. Crazy, but one of my favorite stores to just walk around.

This business is great, especially Amanda, she has worked here for years like a super soldier. When I was bicycling through Carmichael and people driving by near Bank of America hit me on the back with a full shake at 60 mph Amanda gave me a hand and wiped the mess from the back of my trenchcoat. She would always look out for my good friend Danny Bishop Hendrickson, When I lived in Carmichael all the employees at this store were like Angels. 👼.

Its really no comparison to the dollar tree. Barley anything is still .99 cents most stuff is $1.99 or more. I would of rather went to a well supplied dollar tree.3 stars might of been a bit unfair, it was clean and the cashier was very nice.

Its ok to shop. Some of the staff are really nice when I shop. There are people that hang out outside sometimes that make others uncomfortable. There are a lot of shoplifters which is a shame because lots of stuff gets messed up. Lots of good things to buy though.

The store is clean, organized and not over crowded. A pleasant shopping experience.

This store is a decent 99 Cents Only store. Usually always has things in stock is fairly clean. Lines can be really long in the afternoon/evening time. There are some interesting characters hanging out around the store so its good to be cautious.

Very clean store, staff is very helpful, and their prices are unbeatable! Despite they have items over dollar still great price you won’t find anywhere else. I shopped the other day and I could not find an item asked staff for help and they found the item for me from the warehouse. That was so nice of them. Definitely coming back to this store again and again!! I will also recommend my family, friends and everyone.

Under staffed !! Only 2 cashiers 2 weeks t Christmas?? Long lines,no carts available. The store on Arden Way is best for last minute needs: tape,name tags,paper,gift bags etc.

I was at the Carmichael store around 3:30 on a Friday afternoon. The shelves were well stocked. No shortage of paper products. Perhaps most important to a 65 year old retiree with hip joint pain: very short checkout lines and personable checkout employees

Walked out leaving my full shopping cart. Manager closed the register as I was next in line. Do not recommend as some employees are not the best.

They have great canned veggies and tin foil products... coffee filters, cereal etc ...come take a look!

I was really surprised to find that a 99 cent store had so many things that were not 99 cents. However I was satisfied with the diverse selection of different things that were actually surprisingly relatively high quality.

Nice location. Nice prices and they have good brands, its usually a hit or miss, but when you find something good you should stock up because next time they wont have the product. Theres usually long lines and little cashiers at least when I went. Overall its better location then Howe avenue. Nice place to save money, produce is a hit or miss also but decent product.

Poor staff that are very unprofessional. Staff that uses vulgar language to customers whom also act like they own and run the place and are very hostile at times.

My 54 year old husband went into your store today, his life was threatened by an ignorant anti-masker (& children). He said there was a woman with her 3 children shopping with no masks. The employees did nothing to enforce the mask rule that your store currently has. When attempting to make a grievance work store manager phone number turned out to be incorrectly listed. Called customer complaint line & had a horrible time understanding the rep who spoke in a deep accent. He wasnt paying attention the entire call. Do something about this. I see you reply to reviews, and I expect one also.

I have shopped here off and on for ten years, the bargains are fun and the produce is better than anyone would expect for the prices. The staff are polite and helpful. I used to be embarrassed to run into neighbors—- shopping in such a bargain store ...how silly of me. I will take some photos next time. Thanks to the 99 cent store, I have saved a lot..and learned to feel “safe” even after dark. Most people are just like me...looking for a bargain and a friendly smile.

This is the best 99 Cent Store in Sacramento. But they got a lot of stuff thats not 99 cents so they need to change their name.

99 Cents Stores never have enough cashiers. There were only 2 check stands open. I must have waited 15 minutes in line. The store is very clean and the aisles werent full of boxes. The shelves were nicely kept. Variety of products is fantastic. If they could get more cashiers up front, I wouldve given them 5 stars.

Always clean, organized, and fresh veggies and fruit are pretty good.

Well lit and stocked . not messy at all. my big issue or pet peeve? it seems like the *majority * of the products are not 99 cents any more. granted even the items that cost more than the 99 cent price point that I have grown to love are a great deal!- its just how can u call yourselves a 99 cent store when it seems as tho an item costing 99 cent is now the exception? Not the rule? I get that u guys are trying to step up your game and expand the target market. but *please* go back to your roots. if u get a great deal on a product, quit trying to be so greedy! keep it at 99 cents. its not the $1.99 and above store.

Very close to my home, great hours, and I love the night manager! The manager (black woman...not sure how else to describe her), is very helpful and passionate about her job. I would have rated this place 5 stars but their frozen section lacks and isnt as stocked or comes with as many varieties as Dollar tree...(Jamaican beef patties, frozen egg rolls, etc.). I also miss the chicken wings they used to have there. They do however have THE best water pack deal and other which is why I will continue shopping there. Cashiers are also friendly but the manager and the security guard always treat me with respect.

Love the variety of products they offfer. Great deals at great prices. Sure sometimes the lines are long but u get the same thing when u go to smart and final or Safeway , just means everyone wants to shop their too. Can’t wait for my next trip to the 99

The place was packed and one teller. Great selection of off brands. Of the four sweets I tried two were good the other two tasted not that great.

It’s very clean and the staff is nice. Although it can be a little shady at night time.

I will have to add a picture next time, I keep forgetting but this place is good, especially for a 99 cent store. Its pretty clean and most of the clerks are nice. They usually have a lot of good fresh produce. Its a good idea to come here before hitting your maimstream store.

The name itself means inexpensive and cheap items so do not expect the highest quality. It is a good place to buy small items that will work for oneself. We bought inexpensive handsoap that lasted for 6months. They have cool and good items too.

The only reason there are 4 stars is because of Tatianna. She is amazing. She was left all by herself with a line of about 20 people and was able to get through the line in a very timely manner. Give that girl a raise!!

Like a crazier Walmart. Love it for the people watching alone. Store is mostly clean, and the employees are friendly. Good selection of stuff.

One of my favorites in Sacramento. Clean, well stocked, an adequate number of employees for the business they get. This store seems to get some of the better quality items and rarely are they selling foodstuff that is obviously spoiled. No bags of moldy zucchini here.

I love this place! people are so quick to give bad reviews but never nothing good. people shouldnt blame management for long lines when its not their fault if theyre short staffed. Keep up the good work!

Good prices but thats all. My friends bike has been stolen while weve been spending 20 minutes in the store. Then we had to wait 15 Other minutes to have a video recording to finally : have nothing.

Big store! Decent product at cheap prices. Not a bad place to pick up smoothie ingredients. Watch the price tag. Sometimes things are slightly more than a dollar, or less! This one does clearance goods.

Great things. Busy which is good for them. A lot of screaming and running children, parents not caring what their children are doing, like blocking the isles.. Clerk friendly and efficient..

I actually really like this store and visit somewhat regularly. They have a wide selection of little things you could need around the house. Some of it is even cheaper, but same quality, as bigger stores. IE: a bag of 100 zip ties is a buck here, versus three to four dollars at Wal-Mart.

They are as good as any 99 cents store, they have some great deals but the quality isnt great. Perfect place if you are in a financial pinch. Just be Leary some things are $5.99 and not just 99 cents

As far as a 99cent store can go. This place is huge and not crowded. If you want cheap stuff at a cheap price its the place to go. I was suprised by the amount of decent produce they have.

This 99 Cent Only Store is one of the better ones. I love that it is neat and has a small alcohol selection and produce selection. Sometimes it has name brand products such as Lunchables. This store is great for some everyday items.

Big lines to pay :(

Just bought a drink for my kid from this store and it has been expired since January of this year. I have never had to check on anything at this store. But will have to from here on out. The cashier that was helping me thought that it would be OK to be on her phone while I was getting checked out. Not ok.

Always a long line. Almost not worth it. Really need to manage the cashiers better so there is more 7,8,9 people deep waiting to pay. Christmas will be a nightmare.

I love the 99 cent only stores. They have really gotten a lot of good stuff in now and their food area has expanded with lots of good stuff.

Of the 99 cent store it has great value and wonderful products to eat healthy wholesome and good me and my wife shop there on a regular basis

Lol ;p I just shopped there and my son got a lollypop as a treat but neither him nor i could open it sp the cashier gladly offered to open it for us. As usual,they are trying to save money by not having the AC on. Same thing last year. Great deals, horrible shopping experience. I thought about leaving my cart of stuff and leaving it was so bad. Also some crazy person ( common here) screaming nonsense n the produce area.

Clean lots of room to shop. Sometimes the lines can be long . there is always homeless hangout in front.But now they have beefed up security so theres less riffraff inside

This place has a switch and bait going on with the wine,theres many wine brands on shelfs but only one price tag on each shelf ,now when you pick the brand you like the tag price on that shelf might say$4.99 but in reality it could be as expensive as $9.99 ,that been said if youre unaware and get charged for it and want your money back they will tell you theres no refund only credit back so they keep your money and you end up having to buy whatever just so you dont loose it, it happend to me, its unfair and unethical they have to put the individual price under each bottle of wine. SWITCH AND BAIT IS AGAINST THE LAW! They are CROOKED. Be aware!!!

Cashiers are pretty fast. A few are friendly. One woman who has worked there for a long time with dark hair and a mustache is so rude to customers. A friend of hers was in front of me and she was SO sweet to the woman. Then it was my turn and her face went right back to rock hard cold robot. Sad. I was wondering if it was just me or was she like that to everyone...

Not everything is a dollar, items are getting much higher and grocery goes bad so easily. I guess what you pay for is the quality.

Is ok to buy some items tha are more costly somewhere else . avocados shuldnt. Be put in refrigeration to make them look like they are hard and when you open them are roaten inside . donr try to full costumers . produce people . dont play smart !!!

Better place to purchase cheap Chinese cheap than Walmart if you have time to wait for the one or two cashiers working at any given time. The employees are friendly enough, but, it doesnt seem like a happy place to work.

I really like the bargains in these stores. This particular one is in a so so location. The parking lot is a bit rough.

The one star is for lack of Truth in advertising. The name of the store suggests that everything is only $0.99 ( 99 cents ). This is not only a lie but but an incredibly deceiving lie. I filled my basket , doing the simple $0.99 store math, I was wholly surprised when the total came out to over 4 times what I calculated in my head. Dumbfounded, I insisted the cashier mustve ring me up wrong, made a scene and upon being informed of the misnomer, I left the store and (non)purchases behind in complete embarrassment . The only truth to the store title is that $0.99 is in every price there i.e. $1.99, $2.99, etc. Other than that this store had a great selection of non $0.99 items and the usual selection of just $0.99 items. What embarrassed me the most was the fact that upon simple inspection I noticed that the items were ALL clearly and properly priced I just didnt pay attention to it because I was too busy thinking about what a great deal I was getting (my basket was overflowing ) on all those wonderfully cheap Chinese made necessities. What I thought was a great deal for just over $100 turned into a whoppingly nightmarish $489. I know Im not the first idiot to ever do this, lol

Ive had to recently change my rating, was 4 stars due to the deals...but lets be clear on the customer service at this location. Its as if someone said lets open a store with the worst abled people to run it...i truly believe this place is a test to a persons ability to be nice. How do you have 8 check stands, but on any given day only 1 or 2 opened, leaving lines down the isles. Their answer to this when asked is, they cant keep employees there...ive watched an employee walk off the job and quit. Not a good look for any store. Better management means happier customers, happier customers leads to happier employees enjoying their jobs. Poor management makes for upset customers who in return will make your checkers feel their unhappiness...come on now...there are soo many employment/ business models you can use to better your customers experience...shame on this store...BOO

Mostly good here, great buys on crimini mushrooms, of course for a 99 cent store have to watch out for the quality what you buy, management needs to pay more attention to how many cashiers they have
