Bridget was great she answered all of my questions and helped me find the firearm I was looking for. She made the process quick and efficient. Greg was a gem and while my wife waited while I was taking my test took the time to share information and tips with her and kept her engaged. Customers in store where friendly and the whole experience was just a good vibe! Great job highly recommend.

Very polite, knowledgeable staff here. I purchased a box of 9mm, but on my way out asked if they had any Glock night sights in stock. Helped me select some sights he personally uses and recommends, but wasnt pushy at all in his sale. He also installed them for me in less than 10 minutes. Professional, family-feel store. Used Gunthers to transfer FFL to FFL a Remington 700 BDL. Bridget did a superb job at packing the rifle as it has a custom thumb-hole stock. She also took care in packing the OEM stock along with the rifle. The end user even commented on how well she packaged up everything for transport.Bridget took great care. Great staff, good products and services.Had an issue with an employee Sebastian. I had an issue with a handgun that needed to be repaired and shipped to the manufacturer. I was left a voicemail after dropping it off, that the item was shipped. I had to call again to double check and got an email saying the item was shipped.I called the manufacturer three months after dropping my item off with Sebastian to find out he never sent the item to them. I had to show up in person to get him to finaly ship my item and four months later I got my item repaired and in my possession again.I dont know if this was personal or just a lack of integrity after getting multiple clarifications that any action was taken.

Lisa and Gregg are some of the nicest people you may find. I took Greggs private lesson in July and learned a lot. Funniest lesson is Oakley road prism lenses will not let one see a laser red dot.They only take cash or check for the lessons. I forgot to bring cash to pay for the lesson and wasnt able to pay on the spot. I went to the bank and realized I left my debit card at home. I went back and explained to them and they were very understanding. 30 minutes later I was able to get back after going home and hitting up and ATM.

Signed up for an $180 class. The class was cancelled. I left several messages to credit my credit card. Never received the credit or a return phone call. Had to dispute the charge to get a refund. I had dealt with them before and had great service. I dont know what happened to them

Mind you I am looking at spending over 2K at this point. Read below for details!!On the day of pick up(Sunday) about 2 hours earlier I called Gunther Guns Business phone line to see if everything was good to go for my pick up. I was told that everything should be fine. So I drive 15 there to pick up my weapon. I go in and wait in line for about 10 minutes. I go up to the counter and talk to the one of the employe’d about my weapon pick up. I show her my receipt and she goes to the file cabinet to look for the store’s receipt. Then goes to the back to look my rifle. Comes out and talks to the other employe because she could not find it (at this point it has been 5-8 minutes waiting on the employe to find my weapon) So the other employe goes to the back and finds my rifle. The employe at this point tells me that one of the gun smiths was working on it still. **Remember that I called 2 hours earlier and was told that everything was fine**. So at this point I am a bit frustrated with the situation that I was put in. I would have like a call and told that they where working on it. On “work” that I never agreed to so keep that in mind as well. So I asked when will it ready. The employe notify me that on Monday that they closed and Tuesday at 10:00 AM is when they open for business. I ask can you give me estimate for when will it be ready. The employe response with “it will be done when it’s done” I was In shocked because at the very least I should have been notify that there was going to be work been done before I drove to Gunther Guns and wasted a good amount of my afternoon.I love supporting my local business but this is unacceptable business for a business to show such a low level of competency and care for customer service.Update 20200310I call Tuesday at 11:00 to get a answer of what time my weapon would be ready. I get told that it will be ready at 5:00 pm. Around 4:00 I call again to see if everything will be fine for pick up and I get told that everything is ready. I drive myself to the location and pick up my weapon without any issues.Overall this experience has been positive and okay. I would expect better customer service for the future..

If you dont purchase directly from Gunther Guns they will make your transfer impossible.I ordered a firearm online had it transferred to them, being that they’re the only shop in North County for firearm transfers.I called to make an appointment like every other firearm shop is requiring people to do and they refused. The owner asked me if I thought I was better than everyone else and that’s why I wanted an appointment. I did not feel comfortable explaining, that I have a health condition that puts me at higher risk for COVID-19. He said I was hostile for the mere mention of an requesting an appointment an explaining how not following safety measures puts himself, employees and customers at risk, since none of his employees wear masks.The owner was upset that I did not purchase the firearm from him and told me he would not release the firearm to me.I was confused when the owner called me 3 days later to come in and fill out background paperwork to release my firearm. While I waited in a 1 hour inline outside his store with my PPE/personal protective equipment on (mask, gloves, eye coverage) the owner kicked several people out of the store who were with their family members, but did not plan on purchasing anything. The customers were enraged with his customer service attitude. “Leave my store if you don’t plan on purchasing anything”.When I came inside to fill out the paperwork, he told me I “would never be able to buy a firearm in California as I was a danger to myself and others and looked ridiculous in my PPE”, and he had filed a complaint with the DOJ.I have serious reservations about the mental clarity and stability of licensed firearms and ammunition dealer who is working 16 hour shifts, 6 days per week, who is yelling at customers and retaliating with false allegations to the DOJ for customers who dont purchase their items from his store. Also asking me to come fill out paperwork and having me wait over an hour in line outside for the sole purpose of personally berating and degrading me in front of his customers and employees to state out loud “I’m mentally unfit and a danger to myself and others”, makes me question his judgment as an licensed arms dealer.I am flabbergasted with his accusations that I am a “danger to myself and others”. This does shed concerning light on the fact that an California State Arms Dealer’s mental clarity is impaired due to his stated lack of inadequate time off (96 hour work weeks).

Best gun shop Ive visited in the San Diego county. Really professional staff with a good knowledge base on firearms. I also use them for FFL transfers and have had nothing but great experiences. I really enjoy the store and wish more businesses were ran like theirs.

It seems like a nice Shop with a lot of selection however I called ahead to ask if they could upgrade my Chiappa Rhino from single to double action which should take no more than 5 minutes they said no problem at all I asked to speak to the gunsmith the woman told me he was busy to just come on down so I drove the 30 minutes to get there and he said he cant do it theyll have to take it and get it back to me next week which is obviously unacceptable and thats why I called before I took the half an hour drive

Had a rear sight changed out on a Rock Island Tactical 1911. They helped with the research, ordered the part, then fitted the new sight and were very reasonably priced. Nice, friendly, professional staff. I dont write reviews normally, but, I will for this business. A++++ All the way.

For some time now Ive been trying to choose between a 45 and a 357 Magnum. A very nice lady spent an hour with me handling and talking about the two guns. I ended up choosing the 357 it cant be happier very satisfied with Gunther guns. I know Ill be back for that 45 in a month or so.

Ive had a great experience at Gunther guns, so much so that I ultimately chose them as my one stop to shop. Theres just something to be said about the environment, where they seem to put friendly and honest customer service over getting another sale. In my books thats the way any business should be run, as it ultimately leads to an experience you would not mind having again.Although theyve just opened, it sounds like they are on pretty good track to be able to meet the multiple needs of enthusiasts in no time flat. If you are in the market, I would certainly suggest taking the time to make them part of the selection process; or simply somewhere youll be treated decently.

Greg is a great guy and runs his business like a family operation. One of the best experiences I have had with a gun dealer. They are brand new and do not bring the typical condescension, attitude, entitlement that I have found with other dealers and more so with the young and new quasi-tactical variety.This store is run by nice people who enjoy their trade much like the stores of old. They value every customer who walks in their door and makes them feel very welcome. They will take the time to understand what you are looking for and enable you to find exactly that. They do not portend to have superior experience or knowledge beyond their abilities. But if you ask them a question they will dispense all of their available knowledge upon you without being insulting or pedantic. If you ask about a particular display item, they immediately get excited about the prospect of showing it to you and taking the time to explain all of the nuances.They have a superior collection of old traditional and newer high tech and clearly have a rich appreciation of both. The store is extremely clean, spacious, bright and very well cared for. In addition to the many well displayed pistols and rifles, they have an abundance of ammunition supplies and, to my delight, reloading inventories of powder and primers.I was looking for firearms dealer who could license my lower receiver in California. I called all of the usual suspects, most were very expensive and not terribly cooperative. I did a search on FFL licenses in my area and discovered Gunther Guns. I am glad that I did. Their prices are extremely reasonable and they are quick to let you know if you can find a better deal elsewhere and not sell you something that you do not need. They offer beautiful products and a wonderful attitude that has been sorely lacking in gun shops for the last few years.They had just opened their doors after a year long struggle with a city that is not very business, or gun, friendly, so their location is in a semi light-industrial area but is easy to find despite the citys restrictions regarding signage for gun dealers. I want to support them and to help them succeed since they are the model of how a dealership should run.

Purchased my first Glock 17 here and It was a lot easier than I expected. Mr and Mrs Gunther and Eduardo were really friendly and informed me of Glocks Blue Label Program which knocked off $100 off the retail price and gave me an extra Magazine for my handgun. Moments later I was signing a few papers and swiping my card to pay. It was that easy. Overall our experience was amazing, the staff was very professional, and we would totally recommended this place. Looking forward to doing business with them again in the near future.

The store itself was great, but my only qualms was with a certain staff member. As an experienced gunowner trying to find my wife a trusty option for home defense, I dont appreciate the lack of trust or respect the certified NRA pistol instructor chose to give to me, regardless of age. The pushiness and legalistic mentality of basic conversation was quite off-putting but not quite enough to discourage me from doing business here. Sometimes you just have a faulty employee or two.
