Im always amazed at some of the petty comments people leave. The more negative, the more likely there is a back story the reviewer isnt telling.Music stores like Buffalo Brothers are a dying breed; Ive been watching them disappear one-by-one in San Diego County. They are being replaced by a combination of big franchise music stores and the the ubiquitous Internet. The former are interested in stocking and pushing those commodities that will move quickly. The latter doesnt you actually touch and play the instrument.Buffalo Brothers is a little off the beaten track, but easy to get to. It has an eclectic and interesting selection. The staff was mellow, attentive, and not afraid to admit when they didnt have the answer, but willing (and able) to look it up. My visit was to take a look at a hand-made five-string banjo by the well-respected Doc Huff. Yes, you could spend the same amount on a production model instrument, but there really is no comparison: one of them has a soul ... the other is shiny and looks expensive.If you are interested in fretted instruments - guitars, ukuleles, banjos, mandolins, etc., I think you might find something really interesting and unique.I came, I looked, and I left ... with a unique treasure.

These guys were extremely helpful over the phone! Even when we established the fact that we werent going to be able to do business, they stayed on the line and answered questions/offered suggestions. You dont get this kind of customer care at the box stores. Thanks guys!

Great repair shop. Beautiful new, used and vintage guitars. If you love guitars, you will love this place. And to those reviewers who say the guitars are too expensive, try making one sometime. Then after you spend a month or two making a bad one, see how many you have to make before you are capable of making a good one.And to the guy who brought his kids in and didnt like the way the staff was looking at them: a kid can destroy a $5,000 guitar in split second if someone is not watching him.

Every time I have a question or need guidance when it comes to anything guitars, bass, violin, slides, strings, and even picks! Buffalo Brothers are always the most helpful and professional. I really appreciate the support they have for the community!

I didnt even want to give them any portion of a star ...well lets see ...they sold my guitar on consignment and wont pay me my portion (about $1500) ...it has been 7 months since the guitar sold, I have made many phone calls which do not get answered. Highly suggest you do NOT consign anything with them!

Please do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere! This store is unethical and does not care about its customers. You should be aware that the owner is desperate and has started an online crowd funding campaign seeking online donations to provide money for himself to save his store and make up for his poor store management and horrible business practices. Sad but true and you can check out Go Fund Me for yourself if you dont believe it. No one should be subjected to bail out a shady business owner who truly only cares about himself. It is Very Unlikely that Buffalo Bros. will be in existence in the near future to service your needs or purchases. Youve been warned.

Buffalo Brothers is no longer Buffalo Brothers. Someone bought out the old Buffalo Brothers, kept the sign up, and are pretending to be Buffalo Brothers. They do not honor the Full Price Return Policy Buffalo Brothers Promised us when we bought our guitars. The new owners suck because of their lack of honoring the original promise made. When we bought our guitars, we were promised full money back for our guitars when trading in as long as we bought another guitar for $100 or more They need to take down the Buffalo Brothers sign and put up the right sign We Buffaloed You.Lets get together an sue the crap out of these shysters as a class action suit. At the very least dont shop there and certainly dont tell people about their great deal...their deal is Screw You.

Buffalo Bros five years ago was something like a museum and was a great experience every time you walked in. Now its a shadow of itself. Their low prices are a sales pitch. $15-20 lower than bigger guitar companies is not genuine. Even GC will price match. Their selection is horrible and they hardly ever update their website. I tried calling them during normal business hours a few times and pressed whatever number for sales and all I got was a leave a voicemail. I used to hate going to GC and loved going to BB, but now its the opposite.Its sad but this store will not be around much longer
