Bottom line, they do what they say they are going to do...sounds easy, but in the year 2019 it happens all too infrequently. Its a pleasant surprise when it happens!

I had a great experience with the Computer Barn. I am currently a college student and the Computer Barn sold me my first laptop. Well over 5 years later, my laptop still works when it did in the beginning. The Computer Barn does a great job with service. Ive taken my laptop for general service multiple times and the turnover was minimal. I would recommend this business to anyone and I will continue to use the Computer Barn for any computer-related issues.

I was able to satisfy my computer needs very well and for a very reasonable price by using the Computer Barn. I have a security company that employees 40 part time security officers. Ive been able to assign laptops to my supervisors without breaking the bank. I went into the computer Barn, spoke to Dave, who didnt have all the answers BUT sent a guy out who was extremely helpful. The Computer Barn in Carlisle, Pennsylvania has a courteous and helpful staff. I was able to get a rebuilt computer tower with software installed and a faster processor vs what you could buy in the store for a low price. Chris and his staff can answer any questions and they have plenty of monitors, screens, wires, keyboards and other accessories.

Ive purchased laptops, desktop and printers over several years. I received excellent refurbished and new equipment at good prices. Their service is very good with short turnaround times. Its my go to place for computers and peripherals.

Bought a power supply several years ago at a great price. Several weeks ago I needed a backup computer so I decided to purchase a reconditioned Dell from them. It had the latest windows software and worked great. It didnt have any preloaded software like you get when you buy a new computer and end up uninstalling. The computer look almost brand new except for a minor scratch on the back sides and a small dlng in one of the edges. I wouldnt hesitate buying from them again in the future

They took one look at my laptop and said we do not want to put the effort into repairing this. They did not even try to analyze it.

I pick something up here every couple years - never been disappointed. Equipment is always as advertised and service is great.

This company installs unliscensed versions of windows if you dont provide your manufacturer recovery discs(you usually have to make these on older computers). The best thing you can do for yourself is either bring the discs or call the manufacturer ahead of time to have then before taking it to ANY service company. Otherwise you need to legally buy a new copy of windows. If someone tells you otherwise. Its possible your computer has a recovery partiton. But if you get any warning messages about activation failing after a repair. Call them back or look into calling another company to confirm. If they did install pirated software they will be contacted by Microsoft if you report it.

Better off going and buying a new pc or Mac because they pre-fill every computer with bloatware and shovelware. The prices are ridiculous

They never have anything. They dont have basic components, they dont have computer mounting hardware/screws. I dont even know what they do, honestly.

Bought a dell optiplex 755 from them on eBay a little while back and it had a core 2 duo , 4gb ddr2 ram and no hard drive, overall the pc was pretty clean inside ,it had a couple dings on it but overall it was in good condition. I now have a core 2 quad q6600 and a new gpu installed along with a new hard drive and 8gb of ram , the pc is running great and never had any issues now running Windows 10 pro 64 bit. Works great. I played exactly 39$ for it when I first got it before the upgrades , good pricing

Use to buy here, they will do repairs and upgrades. Inflation keeps me away now.

I purchased a computer here last month. After using the computer for a few days it seemed slower than normal for the specifications I purchased. I called back to ask to return the product or exchange for a different computer, and was told no refunds, and they will exchange but will charge a 20% restocking fee. I also found out several pieces of software they stated were installed at purchase were not installed at all (Spybot & Malwarebytes). Note that the salesman I purchased from never mentioned anything about the return or exchange policy during the purchase process. It was my fault for not asking...but I try to support local businesses and stay out of the big box stores with the expectation of getting great local service. In the case of the Computer Barn...ask a lot of questions up-front and know that if anything is wrong your paying at least 20%. I would recommend going brand new from someone else. Poor experience.

Show room for used computers and accessories has been reduced significantly since most of the used equipment is now sold through their eBay store. They also now charge a recycling fee for used equipment due to increased cost of processing.

Inflated the price of replacement parts by 150%. I guess they didnt realize I was talking to other places that would actually give me fair prices to compare them to. Dont go here.

Dont buy from them on eBay. They sell damaged equipment and wont do a return.

Friendly service

They used to recycle old computers for free. Now you must pay to take them off your hands. No incentive to keep them out of landfill.
