I bought a old 1969 Kay SG style guitar here. It plays great

We just popped in for my daughter to get something for her violin. We were promptly greeted upon entering the store and my daughter received immediate attention with her needs that brought us there. While she was being assisted, I browsed the store and was impressed with the wide selection of instruments and accessories that they have available in their retail space. These guys are not messing around! I was also impressed with both their attentiveness and their friendly manner.

Its been awhile since my last visit. I noticed they put all the guitar strings and such behind the counter. Not a fan. Im a browser type shopper and not being able to kinda sucked.. luckily I knew what i wanted. They staff was very friendly and helpful. Cheers guys, keep on rockin

The young man at the guitar desk was extremely helpful and nice and very informative. He wasnt in a hurry, he answered all my questions and was very professional. The service was excellent.

I am a huge fan of Shivelbines. The nostalgia it brings always brightens my day. It has kept up with the times, but has still managed to remain the same Shivelbines that I can remember from my young childhood. Bringing my son in to get his first saxophone was an experience that was special to both of us, and the staff was amazing. They made the whole process effortless, and could not have been more helpful or courteous. I hope they never shut their doors and keep creating musical memories for many many more generations!!

The process of picking out an instrument & setting up our payment plan went very smoothly and the process was well explained. The guy that works in the guitar area is so helpful and friendly. Hes great. I was in there with my granddaughter buying her dad things for his banjo. He was so patient and kind. He gave her a guitar pick that she carries everywhere. I do appreciate his kindness to a tiny little girl when he could have been upset that we had a small child in an expensive music store.

Was a nice store they had to get tar strings I needed. They were very polite and helpful. But they could use a few more guitars all I seen where Yamaha is an LTD their selection needs to be a little bit broader but other than that Id recommend it.

The best music store in Southeast Missouri. You definitely dont want to buy instruments online. You dont know what youre getting. Very knowledgeable staff and repair department.

Selection is a little shaky but theyre surprisingly flexible and fair on price. I never liked the fact that they dont want you playing their drums.

They had a pretty limited selection of guitars, and wouldnt let me try out their saxophones which is somewhat understandable because I didnt have my own mouthpiece but other places didnt have an issue. They were cool about letting my friend play their drums but other than that nothing stood out to make it an above average music store.

Lots of instruments and an entire basement full of music. An amazing place.

Staff is great and knowledgeable about all things Music and instrument wise, but they dont have a very good selection of instruments in store to try out instruments hands on. Most instruments have to be ordered and delivered. If you want to try out instruments with a larger selection, I recommend taking time to take a trip to STL to their music stores such as Mozingo Music, Faizos Music, or Guitar Center.
