A delicious experience!

Watch out... 4% credit card surcharge and was not even told until I received my $14+ receipt. Wanted to try something local. Was told 95%+ chocolate displayed were made in the store which is excellent. Chocolate was good and met my expectations. However, not sure I will be back.

Its a chill place. The chocolate is nice and they have a lot of different kinds to choose from. The worker was nice as well and didnt rush me even though it was my first time there. They have other types of candies as well and they even make giant models out of chocolate. The only thing that I would change is the pricing of everything. They price everything by how much it weighs. So like, they charge $11.99 for every half pound chocolate that you buy and $6.99 for every half pound of regular candy. Each regular sized candy bar is $4. Overall the service is good, staff is friendly, and atmosphere is chocolatey!

Seems way overpriced. I get that it is a specialty chocolate shop but generally speaking $4 for a pretty plain chocolate bar is a bit much. Not to many novelty candies or classics. A lot of common candies and empty space. The most interesting items that were in the shop were CBD water and chocolates. Couldnt see going there again. For the prime location they have, they are not serving it well.

My family and I loved the experience when we went today for the first time! The service was beyond fantastic! We had so much fun! And the selection of candies and sweets we out of this world! We will definitely be regular customers! Thanks for the experience!

We were visiting cape gerardeau for the weekend and I found this place on google. Wasnt sure what to expect but we decided to stop in with the kids and let them get their own treat for the 3 hour journey home. Originally we were going to stop for ice cream but thought this would be better. Its a small, nice candy store with lots to offer. One of my kids doesnt like chocolate and they had plenty for him to choose from! The prices are high, however, all candy shops like this are ridiculously priced. So we werent surprised. And we actually spent way less than what we had anticipated! Even with all 5 of our kids getting exactly what they wanted. The employees were very friendly. And when we couldnt decide what we wanted, they gladly offered samples. If we find ourselves out that way again, we will definitely go back!

Amazing place. The candy is incredible but we actually broke down in front of their store and they were the friendliest people and offered to let us sit inside and were just great all the way around. I absolutely would recommend this place to anyone. Great people, great candy!

I dont know if its just me but the candies and chocolates taste very old and there was a very disgusting flavor inside all of the them which makes it have the old expired flavor. I bought 20 dollar worth of them and threw all of it away after that awful after taste. Not to mention their chocolates are way over priced.

Used to be a regular here, they had the BEST chocolate fudge I have ever found, and I am a fudge connoisseur! Would highly recommend to my friends and family. Visited today, and the girl working said they did not sell it anymore! After looking at other reviews and seeing that the owner responds to them, I definitely wanted to reach out and ask why Chocolate Works stopped making chocolate fudge and now only sells weird random flavours (that personally I would never want to try lol)?? I was so disappointed!! I will keep checking back in the store until chocolate fudge is brought back and when it is I will buy tons of it regularly and begin recommending to my friends again! Looking forward hearing back from you!

Delicious chocolates! Passing through Cape Girardeau was a great experience.....we happened to stop at The Chocolate Works and the young woman working behind the counter helped each of us find a perfect treat. Even Sugar free Almond Toffee!!!!

We had a 5* bridal shower for my Daughter in the Back Room! So much Fun and so Yummy too!!

Oh my gosh! This place has the best and nicest employees I have ever experienced! This is now on my top 3 places to go.

Very delicous chocolates! All hand made as well. They even have options on getting a nice chocolate sculpture made for you like an Eiffel Tower.

A fun place to stop in and look at all the cool creations, even if you arnt buying anything. They have factory made chocolate, but their main product is the chocolate they make in shop. My favorite is the chocolate covered coffee beans. They also have a chocolate fountain that you can dip stuff into. Also if your lucky you can watch them make chocolate too!

This place is wonderful!!! Amazing quality homeade chocolate confections and lots of other candy you would find in typical candy store. Staff was very nice amd helped us narrow down what to get because the choices are overwhelming. Definitely will be back!

Chocolate was not very good and high priced. Buy your self a Hershey Bar better tasteing and a whole lot better price

The café could have been better

Not impressed with a party planned there. Called way in advance to book. The one girl working when we arrived had no idea we were coming, and didnt know what to do. Two others showed up to help, but still wasnt impressed with the way it went. It was almost like we were in the way while we were there.
