Ordered a guitar from Them off of amazon... The guitar had a buzzing issue that I tried (to the best of my knowledge) to fix... After finally giving up I contacted these guys directly and they were more than helpful... Sent me a return label took my guitar fixed it up and even called and asked what strings I wanted on it and how I wanted it set up.... Contacted them with the Issue on Wed Aug 25 and just received my Guitar back Perfectly Set up On Sat Aug 28..... Cant thank these guys enough they go above and beyond for costumer service!!

Kim, one of the owners, is the sweetest person Ive ever met. She has an extremely bubbly personality and is very good at everything she does around the store and in the UPS office. Ive looked around in there many times and the staff has always been very helpful. I recently went in to purchase a ukulele for my little sister and Brody was very helpful in showing her the options in our budget and helping pick one out that was good for her (she tends to destroy everything she touches). Paul was also very helpful, he not only made my sister laugh while explaining the tuner for the ukulele but also was extremely respectful despite the fact that we were the rude ones who showed up 20 minutes before they closed. All around great service and by far the best music store Ive ever been in. For a small shop everyone here goes above and beyond. Theres always a very welcoming atmosphere and I highly recommended coming here even if its only for some new strings or even if its for a new guitar.

Bought a guitar for my 11 year old son we got and it was heavy and to big so we returned it cause Totalmusicsource says yes we do refunds.before putting it back in the box I looked it over there was no scratches I went to the length of wrapping it completely in bubble wrap and taped the only way it got scratches on it is from Total music source cutting the tape. Any way had to open a case up with eBay there attitudes and customer service is terrible. I know good customer service because I own 5 retail locations and have been in business for over 25 years. So I spent $806 dollars they were to minus shipping around $48 received a refund of $515. Let this be a lesson when you purchase online . Terrible service.

I’ve been playing guitar over 10 years and have visited many music stores. Total music source is like no other. The owners Kim and Chris not only go out of their way to get the gear you need but also are heavily involved in the school district offering free lessons and instruments to students.Kim and Chris also hire employees with the same ethics. My son gets drum lessons and he is constantly getting positive reinforcement and always leaves with a smile.The customer service at Total Music Source is exceptional. I bought a guitar recently and I was torn between two. Paul was equally excited and informative about both guitars and did not pressure me despite the very big price difference.Overall, I would highly recommend this business for any music needs.

I never write reviews but felt compelled based on this experience. Exceptional customer service from my first inquiry phone call to leaving the store. Paul (my salesman) was super knowledgeable, courteous and professional. I called to ensure a rare guitar was still available as I live 3.5. hrs from the store. Paul was gracious enough to reserve it for me without hesitation. I probably would have bought the amp he was pitching too while I was trying out the guitar but thats possibly for another day. All of the staff was friendly. Highly recommend this place - it was worth the drive. And theyre expanding into a larger building(an even bigger candy store for us music nuts)!!! Thanks again.

After purchasing a piece of garbage from a different music store in North Port I decided to drive to Cape Coral. I brought my guitar in to have it restrung because the strings on my guitar were more like cables then strings. They were honest and upon careful examination of my guitar they told me that it was warped and about other issues. I obviously needed to purchase another guitar. The sales person took his time with me and asked what my needs were and pointed me in the right direction. I ended up purchasing a guitar and signed up for lessons. The staff is professional, friendly and genuinely care about your needs and concerns. I was told that if I had any issues with the guitar they have a return policy of 45 days. In my opinion this is a sign of a good music store. Thanks for your help. **The reason I chose this particular store is I called Martin guitars in Pennsylvania and asked for an authorized dealer and this store was it. I’m sure Martin will not allow just anyone to be an authorized dealer unless they’re above board and reputable**.

I was looking for a new Gallien-Krueger (GK) cab for my bass rig and contacted Total Music Source (TMS) as it was listed as one of the on-line dealerships recommended by GK. I spoke to Jordan and Kim and found them to be knowledgeable, and more importantly, very personable. They had my new cab shipped the day I purchased it. Upon receipt of the cab, I did notice a discrepancy in the Ohm rating that I wanted. I contacted TMS and spoke to Kim regarding the discrepancy. She contacted the manufacturer and had a replacement shipped the same day. Additionally, a return label was provided for me to ship back the original cab, no questions asked. She did everything she could possibly do to make the transaction a good one and I couldn’t be happier. Overall, TMS provided great communication, including timely responses to email and phone calls, and very personable customer service….thank you.

As a bassist, its always a challenge visiting local music stores. Youre lucky to see a couple of basses in there or any kind of selection on strings. That is not the case with Total Music Source. They have a HUGE selection of bass gear and if it isnt on the showroom floor, theres a chance they have it in the back since they do online sales as well. When I was bass shopping they just kept pulling the rabbit out of the hat, more and more and more basses.Very laid back and low pressure sales but attentive when you have questions.Thank you Total Music Source!

The staff are super friendly and very diverse in their knowledge and expertise in the music industry. Such a great feeling walking into their showroom and feeling welcome. Their owners are amazing and go far out of their way to make sure everyone leaves with a great experience unlike the big corporate stores.

We’ve been shopping there for a number of years now. It’s great that they have a wherehouse on the premises because you might have to check several instruments until you find the perfect one! They are very accommodating and have even brought a display of their ukuleles to our jams. The owners are nice, dedicated and friendly.

Purchased a guitar from their online store and it arrived damaged. During the middle of a hurricane, without power, they worked to resolve my issue. I received free shipping for the return and a full refund. I will buy from again. Amazing!

This place is a total nightmare all the way from receiving the guitar I bought all the way to returning it. It was a constant stress fest of having to call them all the time to get any kind of status on events. Even my refund didnt show up on my Affirm account until I tried to call with no answer and coincidentally got issued as soon as I hung up. Paul, who typically answers the phone, is a nightmare to talk to because he is condescending, has a complete lack of empathy, and has a rotten attitude from the first time I ever talked to him. Kim, who is half owner, is the only person I communicated with who had any kind of personality and was really understanding. She is great and the only reason Im issuing an extra star, but doesnt make up for the garbage Ive had to go through with them. I think the best thing for this place would be to liquidate ownership and employees, then hire people who care. Its amazing this place operates with their current ethicsEDIT: Just changed my mind or rather had my mind changed for me. Now my review is only one star. Just woke up to Kim calling me to harass me, cuss me out, and bully me while also playing victim because she cant take criticism of her company, even though initially we were in agreeance that things were mishandled by her employees. She is apparently a switch-hitter who will say what she needs to to appease. customers. If she thinks she has good employees, then she should stick to her guns instead of throwing her employees under the bus for customer convenience sake. I actually thought she was a sweet and understanding person. I guess not.

Completely trash, walked in looking for the Kanye West The College Dropout on vinyl, wouldve thought Total Music Source would have it, WRONG. Not only did they not have it, but an associate, I think his name was Paul, told me Why would you ever listen to Kanye West, who ever listens to them doesnt know music. Terrible customer service!!

Went there looking for ukulele strings and the people there were really helpful and kind I already referred people there . I like a place were they are willing to help some one like me who dont have a clue. the guy there was honest as could be thanx went again to get strings and when i said i needed a gig bag the guy didnt try to sell me some outrageous cost bag he sold me a clearance item . that worked well honest workers therr i am impressed agian great experience.
