My husband and I are 100% satisfied with our kitchen/house remodel designed by Cabinet Genies and implemented by Lighthouse Building and Remodeling Inc. We met with Nate of CG in February 2019. We provided pictures of our “old” kitchen and made an appointment for him to come to our house when we were available in March. Nate was very familiar with the popular 1980’s L-shaped footprint of our home. We told him of our wish for a totally open floorplan. Within two weeks he provided us with his design that involved the removal of three walls. When we saw his vision, we were “sold”. While we selected our cabinetry, hardware, sinks and fixtures directly from Cabinet Genies, Nate provided us with his preferred contacts for granite, flooring and appliances. His projected budget set certain limits as far as granite grade, price per sq ft. flooring and appliance quality. Happily we were able to stay within our budget.I cannot say enough about the contractor who works with Nate. Derek, the owner of Lighthouse Building and Remodeling Inc, went above and beyond our expectations during the entire project. As we are snowbirds, we elected to have the work done in our absence. Work commenced on May 20, 2019. Through the Buildertrend App we were able to see the entire projected daily schedule from Demolition to Customer Walk Through scheduled on August 15, 2019. Photos were regularly uploaded so we could see the transformation in real time with our own eyes. As with all projects on older homes, a couple of issues did arise. In both cases, Derek provided us with 3 possible solutions, priced accordingly. He kept us in the driver seat through phone calls and Skype.Amazingly, we did do our walk through with Derek on August 15th when we flew down for a week to inspect the work. He suggested we take our time living in the house to check things out and formulate a list of any issues or changes we’d like to make. By weeks end, we had our list and had post-its around the house to call his attention to our concerns. We left and Derek assured us everything on the list would be “fixed”.When my husband and I finally made it down in January (a new grandson delayed our usual fall return), we walked in to our beautiful “new” home. Post-it notes were gone and the house was picture-perfect. Actually, pictures do not do it justice.

HEADS UP! For me, SCAM ALERT! They want a $500 deposit to give me an estimate!! Seriously?! I have no problem giving them a deposit once we agree on a price and specifics, but to pay $500 to have someone talk to me, in my opinion, is unprofessional, unethical, and screaming I am about to get ripped off To all the people moving to Florida, this is not normal! If you go with them, you will probably be overpaying. If they believed in their product and service, they wouldnt need to ask for money upfront BEFORE we have an agreement! Good luck, getting your $500 back if you dont go with them. I dont know, but I am not chancing it. BEWARE! I dont need to go into their showroom, I already know exactly what I want and will be happy to give them a diagram with measurement and specifics. Shame on you, Cabinets Genie for not believing in your own product, service, and cost.

Cabinet Genie remodeled our kitchen 7 years ago: great job. We recently had an issue with the swing out shelf in 1 cabinet. They repaired it 2 days after I called and at no charge!

We just moved into our new home with cabinets by Cabinet Genies. The kitchen cabinets are the so impressive as you enter the great room. Our bathroom cabinets are gorgeous as well. Best of all, the staff was so easy to work with, very professional from start to finish, and guided us through the design process even though it took several rounds to get exactly what we wanted within our budget. During installation they observed that the pulls I had chosen were not right sized for the scale of the cabinets and room. Not only did they help me select the right size, but they came out later and installed the new pulls with no extra trip charge. Every day I look at my cabinets I have happy thoughts about Cabinet Genies. Next cabinet project will go to them.

We contracted with Cabinet Genies for a secondary remodel. Prior to moving in we did a full remodel on our condo, but after moving in realized there was more to be done. We had several ideas to resolve some storage issues but we werent sure if our ideas were the best possible solutions. Jim and Jordon arrived on the scene, listened to what I thought I wanted, took excellent measurements of every space, and then went back to work on the best possible solutions. Insert Nate, Tyler and Suzanne at this point. Their combined skills brought us detailed drawings, estimates, and clear expectations. We had questions, we had tweaks, but never did we feel like we were a bother to them.The exceptional communication and time line brought to us via their interactive job website, was phenomenal. We never had to guess what was happening, or who was coming to our home. Every step of the job detail was exactly as expected. The crews left our home DAILY in better condition than when they arrived. It was quite a contrast to our previous remodel experience.At the final punch out, the team very much welcomed our input. They actually added things to the list that we didnt even notice! Our final results in every single area work was performed exceeded our expectations. The space we gained in 4 closets left us with many empty shelves! Such a great design. The office we built in to a large walk-in closet space looks like it has always been a part of our home and blends seamlessly with the surrounding areas. It is a pleasure to work in this lovely space they created. My original idea would have been horrible! They helped me see the light and I am so grateful for their experience.This may be an exceptionally long review (I have only left 2 reviews in my life on-line!) but my experience with Cabinet Genies warranted the space and time. It is rare to encounter a remodel that you can actually willingly sing the praises of the entire experience. This is one of those times. Very nice people designs were very nice however they do not give you designs over the phone or email so I had to pay $500 for a design to send it to me by email. When I asked if they could give me the dimensions and not just the design they said no. I said but I just paid you $500 they said sorry doesnt matter cant help you out there I told him to keep their money and went with somebody else.

I went to cabinet genies after going to one of the big box stores, and it was crystal clear to me that these people really knew what they were doing unlike the big box store. My initial insite, was correct, Cabinet Genies did an outstanding job!Nate, was exceptional, his assistant Suzanne (hope I spelled her name correctly) was always keeping me up to date on every aspect of the installation.There was a tiny issue with a pass through window, and Jim didnt call me, he was at the house in 20 minutes, with Mick and made sure the installers did it perfectly and they did.If you want true professionals that fo it correctly the first time, call them!If you want to gamble, use somebody that claims to be cheaper! When the dust settled, I had a great result and it was the same or lower than the big box stores.
