The gentleman there were helpful in getting the items I needed. Unfortunately the shrimp were so small that I couldnt even use them to fish. Truly they were smaller than a minnow. 🦐🦐

I’m a travel writer and was reminded of one of my favorite all-time adventures several years ago.

Stopped in to buy a couple rods and reels since we were inshore fishing and all I brought with me were deep sea rigs that cant cast. The guy behind the counter acted like I was bothering him. When I asked for help he just pointed to the rods and reels, said like there right there, offered no assistance when I told him I was looking for something that I could continue to use back home, and continued to just sit behind the counter smoking on his vape. So much for customer service. I didnt bother wasting my time there and left. Too bad too since I spent a few hundred dollars at their competitor

DO NOT SHOP AT THIS PLACE!Went to grab some live shrimp Thursday morning as Wednesday afternoon they were completely out and told us to come back tomorrow.Asked for 10 dozen live shrimp, of coarse we didnt check the quantity or the shrimp when they brought our bucket back to us. We get to the boat (20 minutes after buying the shrimp) to find maybe 5 dozen shrimp and out of those maybe 6 of them were alive. Based on the color of the ones that were dead vs the 6 live ones I would guess they were previously frozen.Needless to say, if your buying bait from this place, check it before you leave.P.S. the shrimp didnt died in 20 minutes due to our bucket they were place in an insulated bucket with a bubbler. We typically hold shrimp in the same bucket for 12+ hours with no issues.

Dont buy shrimp from here. My fault, didnt check them when I bought them, got to the boat and most were dead or so freakin tiny there is no way you could hook one!

This place is excellent for all your bait and tackle needs. I was able to buy a spur of the moment breakdown Shakespeare rod and reel for $39 so I was quite pleased and got 50 live shrimp for fishing with all for a very reasonable price.

The staff here is very helpful and very friendly. For people like us that are new to the area and needed advice on Bait and Tackle and where and how to fish the people here were amazing. They were patient and did not make fun of our lack of knowledge. There is no place in Cape Coral that I would rather go for Bait and fishing advice then here. Absolutely spectacular!

Sold me 22 dead pinfish after we woke them up!

This place has been hit and miss with us. When they first open in the mornings, the bait and stock can be lacking and they havent always been open on time. We have had good experiences though. We primarily use different bait shops now that are more consistent. I would still use them but only out of necessity because there are simply more consistent bait shops in the area that have great staff.

The owner is one hell of a guy, we were from out of town asking advice about where to fish that night and what to use. We ended up heading out to the Secret Location he gave us, and cast out some large thawed out dead mullet. And less than an hour later I hooked up with 42 Snook.Next year we plan on hitting him up for an In-Shore Charter, we had no idea he also chartered. But thanks again Captain for putting us on the fish with the right bait. AND that 50lb liter I grabbed walking out the door really paid off, I pulled in a 5 foot gator the next night in the canal behind the house, and a 5 foot+ black tip out of the ICW.

They rigged me up with a everything I needed including great tips and advice on when, where and what to use. Love supporting people who understand the importance of customer experience. Would seriously recommend that you check out this place. A real deal bait and tackle shop in the heart of cape coral and minutes from the fishing pier at the yacht club. Evident by the awards and plaques on the wall this guy knows his away around a fishing rod. There is a fantastic selection and even some live fish in a couple different aquariums. Even took the time to help me rig my sons new Spiderman fishing rod. He saved me time and more importantly, frustration, having to do it myself in the heat of the sun with my son asking me a hundred questions. He managed to ensure a great first fishing experience with my son.

Small shop and usually out of live bait if dont go in the morning, but very helpful with fishing advice.

This is by far the best bait and tackle shop around. The owner is so knowledgeable and friendly and loves to help educate people so they have a great time fishing in this area. The shop is super clean and has a good selection of everything you need to fish these waters. Of course, they sell bait, which is awesome! It was my first time here. Captain John was very willing to share his expertise and knowledge hes gained as a local fishing guide. Without asking, he even set up all our rigs for us and threw in some extra shrimp for free. They were very helpful and didnt try to oversell.

In town with my father-in-law for a short vacation. Hes big into fishing (I know nothing about the sport) so I thought wed drop in to pick up some live bait. What impressed me most was how helpful and honest the staff was.

The lady who works here is extremely nice. Found out her and her husband are from the area my husband is from small world. She was very helpful when we came in asking for fishing bait advice.

The folks at Crazy Lure are the best. They always have the fresh bait that you need and and great selection of the lures that are needed to fish the waters of SW florida. Being new to the region I always go there to get the latest fishing tips, what to use and where to go. Another reviewer commented on the poor selection of equipment. Do they have a large selection of fishing rods and reels? No, but if you want custom product to fit your exact needs, they are the place to go.

The day we went for bait at 600am no one was there to open until 630. Real lack of lures, hooks and tackle. Would I go back...only if no one else had bait available.

Ive went to the bait shop close to this one called snook hut and was given the worse service then I went to crazy lures and omg the service was great all my questions were answered capt jon really knows his stuff and the people at the front desk are so nice and funny best tackle shop in lee county by far

Get rid of your fish tanks! So sad to see how gross and dirty those fish are kept in. You should have that tank taken away from you... Never done any water changes or cleaning and it shows. Never spending a penny more in this store because of the tanks

I have no idea what these other people are looking at. The store does not have a tackle selection at all. The German guy working was rude. He handed me a catalog and said i could find a reel and it would be in the shop in 10 days. Who wants to wait 10 days for a $80.00 reel. Its not that I wouldnt go back there its just there is no reason to go there since they have nothing in rods & reels
