Purchased a boat that was out of the water at Scorpion so we were both new to each other. Erik and the office staff are very fair and worked well with me for the work I needed and my schedule requests. Even considering a tropical store coming through. Earl is friendly, knowledgible and a real ace with the Travelift. My experience with them was very good, I thought the prices were fair (I work in the marine industry so I have a fairly good idea of prevailing prices) and the quality of the work done was good. I was watching carefully at the workmanship. I would feel very comfortable recommending this yard to anyone. My boat is a sailing catamaran.

Ive bought four 115 suzukis, one 115 Yamaha, and a 6 HP Susuki over the last 20 years. The staff is friendly and the service is good.

Scorpion Marine has taken very good care of me every time I have needed their services. They are very thorough and knowledgeable. I have had them rig everything from my 31 ft offshore boat to a new stereo on my ski boat , always done right and on time. The parts department has competitive prices and the knowledge to assist with getting what works the first time around. I can recommend this business with full confidence.

Accepting responsibility is the number one trait I respect in the workers and owners at Scorpion Marine. In addition to having a clean and organized boat yard, they are efficient. During my two separate haul outs, Erics ability to stick to a schedule was admirable. He is a good listener and responded to my sometimes redundant questions. When there was some down time waiting for an engine part, he never pressured me into considering other services. Indeed, his dad even offered cost savings products. From bottom painting, to repairing my wood/epoxy cold molded tri, to replacing the prop shaft and strut, their chief yardman, Larry and his crew, along with the office staff were always accomodating, friendly yet professional.I only wish their yard was closer than a days sail away from my dock!

Dont expect any maintenance completed in a reasonable amount of time. They need a much better scheduling staff.

If you are an offshore fisherman...stay away from the Boat Club!!! The boats are not well maintained and dangerous for those who fish offshore 25+ miles for the pelagics like mahi, wahoo, etc! We requested the boat be put in the water the night before so we could get off the dock at 5:30am. We showed up, loaded our gear onboard, and when we went to start the two engines...one of them wouldnt start. So we had to wait for three hours before we could get off the dock. Problem was one of the starter connector wires was rusted through. We were lucky the problem didnt occur while we were out fishing in the deep blue water. So we go out get some nice mahi and come back 15 minutes late due to our late start...and what do the they do? They charge us a $25 late return fee. This guy Eric who runs the boat club is a real piece of work. Oh yes, we mentioned to the mechanics that the live well wasnt working...guess what? Same problem...rusted/corroded wiring! They know no shame!
