Bad service and dont give contractors discounts

Excellent customer service. Went in seeking some Fenway colored Benjamin Moore paint, and while they didnt have it in stock Justin had assured me he would transfer stock from another location and have it for me by Tuesday. Best service by far for a decorating store and highly knowledgeable staff.

Benjamin Moore paint is wonderful, but the staff in this store is often rude. That has always been a problem with the men in the back who mix the paint, but recently Ive had a negative experience with someone up front who (I think) is supposed to be helping customers make purchasing decisions.The men in the back are often abrupt especially at the end of the day. 10-15 minutes before closing time theyve started rushing us out and saying things like, I dont know if I can mix that paint for you. They have even locked me in before closing time! I had to get someone to let me out, and the time on my phone (which obviously gets the time from the internet/atomic clock) still had two minutes before the hour.It was something I tolerated because the paint is high quality and the women in the front were able to offer help selecting colors, which enabled me to buy paint that I ended up being happy with. Today when I went in, the woman working said we dont help with color selection anymore- its $75. She said she would help me this time and began drawing colors. But when I tried to describe what I was looking for, she responded sullenly that she was trying to pick out colors that match. She didnt listen, and I ended up with color swatches that I didnt like. It was just a really unpleasant experience.I need to be able to purchase paint that I will like. When you go to a bra store, they will size you and help you get a bra that fits. When you go to buy a car, the salesmen will help you identify cars that fit your needs. It isnt unreasonable to expect help making a purchase. Painting a room costs about $100 in paint and 8 hours of work, and I need to be confident about the purchase.This is hugely disappointing because other people who work there have been so helpful. Ive gone to this store (or sister stores) since moving to Stoughton for three different paint jobs and want to continue. But I cant be purchasing paint on a trial and error basis.By the way, I was in the store for 8 minutes. Unless she is one of the rare women with four color cones, her opinion is not worth $75/8 minutes. And even if she does have four color cones... I cant imagine how upset I would be if I paid $75 for a consultation and ended up with a room I didnt like.

Bought house paint ($50.00) per gallon and never used it. Brought to Babels to have shaken, told they couldnt do it. Handed me a wooden stick and told me to try that.

The guys in the back were phenomenal; I got excellent service and I am going back for more paint this morning
