If you want to know why, I wont publicly shame the whole store over one person in the store. Overall this is a good business. I just happend to be singled out by someone in the store that if continued with others it will give the store a bad name. Its all in who you know. Thank you to the kind gentlemen that was more than polite with me.

This place is among the most amazing music stores Ive ever been to in this century. Back in the 20th Century, stores of this calibre were more plentiful. In recent decades, theyve become nearly extinct. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable. Its not unlike visiting a museum. Its worth a trip there just to see what they have there.

Ive always wanted to learn violin, and was so happy when my great grandma gave me her old one. I took it to pelligrinos to get it fixed. It took awhile, which is expected, and they called and said it was done. Well, a few weeks ago, I tried to tune it and a string snapped. Before taking it in, a noticed the part holding the strings at the bottom of the violin was wiggling. I wasnt sure of it was supposed to do this or not so I took it in. I asked if they could repair the string, or if I could just buy strings and do it at home myself. She said to check it in anyway but after i insisted i try it at home myself, she said that a full set of strings were 100$. When I looked online after, the same thing the lady showed me was 62$, or under (depending on the seller) I then asked the lady if the part was supposed to wiggle and she said no, and insisted the whole time I was there I just check it in. So I did. I was highly annoyed that Ive taken the violin in before, and it still isnt completely fixed. There is no way something should wiggle if just a few weeks earlier it was just fixed. Maybe I was more annoyed that the lady that was helping seemed completely clueless of what she was talking about. I had a better experience with other workers. Unless something magical happens when I get my instrument back today, I probably wont be coming back here for anything, and I do not recommend it for other people.

Pellegrino Music Center (we call it Pellegrinos in my household) has been the go-to place for our family for generations now. My parents purchased a beautiful piano there when I was a kid, my sister rented all of her band instruments through them and purchased a flute, and I rented an instrument at one point as well, which the team at Pellegrino went out of their way to get from me. Now my nieces and nephews are renting and buying instruments from there. Weve always had stellar customer service there. The staff couldnt be more friendly or accommodating. Their prices are fair, and its a locally owned and operated place, which I like a lot. I also know someone who used to work there. He said he was treated like family and they were extremely flexible to accommodate his graduate school schedule. I think the way a business treats employees speaks volumes. My friends and family are all really happy to get instruments and lessons from Pellegrino Music Center every time we have the chance. I highly recommend it.

Today, we bought a new electric keyboard because practice time in our house isnt always peaceful when the main piano is in the center of the house.But this instrument has headphones!!Beautiful!And what was just as beautiful is the absolutely fabulous customer service we got at Pellegrino Music. Lets just say that I had lots (and LOTS) of questions. I was debating between two different brands of keyboards, and Jerry Pellegrino, Jr., bent over backwards to help me choose the right instrument for our family. I was so happy to buy locally and to know that I was getting it from someone who knew us as real people.Yes, I love me some Amazon for lots of things...but on bigger investments like this, local, family-owned businesses are the best! Both of my daughters take lessons at Pellegrino. The instructor is well qualified and very professional. Cost of lessons is reasonable. It is conveniently located and they also offer recitals at their music store located next to the lesson center.

The Pellegrino music center has the 3 most important things a business like it needs: evident love and passion for music, skill across various musical mediums, and a strong sense of community oriented entrepreneurship. These are real people who care about music and all that it can do for our children, us, and the community as a whole. Ive had wonderful experiences here as a customer and as a fellow music lover.

My daughter is starting the flute this year. Went in to get her instrument. Staff was friendly and very knowledgable, even down to what she needed for her specific school. Got in and out very quickly.

After multiple attempts of renting a violin for my daughter. being told something different by everyone I talked to and finally getting things set up they dont even have the size she needs

Not real keen on customer service. No loaner for instrument repair. No alternate solution offered. A used instrument is only 10% less expensive then a new one. Really? And the prices of Alto saxophones are about 400-600% markup.

John has done a great job with drum lessons for our son. Wish I had his patience. Has given great suggestions for our son to strive.

We rented and bought our daughters instrument here and now our sons, weve had No problems, very friendly. We buy their books there to and kits. Its a big store lots to look at and choose from very nice.

Staff is friendly; more interested in getting you whats best than just making a sale. Theyre where I go for all my reeds whenever I wear all mine out. I got both my oboe and flute from them, too. Always satisfied with the service.

I can’t say enough about Jerry Pellegrino Jr and his staff. I am extremely happy with my purchases at Pellegrino’s Music Center. So much so that I’ve brought my friends, all of whom have made major purchases as well and are very satisfied with their experiences. They offer a tremendous selection at very competitive prices. In fact, their prices were the lowest I’ve found. And if they don’t have what you’re looking for, Jerry can get it. The entire staff is very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and professional and I’ve found Jerry to be tremendous. It’s very rare to find someone as honest and with such integrity. Needless to say I’m quite satisfied doing business at Pelligrino’s and have no need or plans of purchasing elsewhere.

Staff are pleasant. Prices are EXTREMELY high for comparable product in comparison to most other places online or in-store. Cannot and would not recommend Pellegrino Music to a friend, as their prices gouge the consumer. Bottom line is to compare their prices for products and services with their competition and therein is the reason for the ratings.

Took my trombone in to get the slide re-realigned and they had it for over a week and a half when it took them 3 days to get it fixed and when i started playing some music, the slide seemed worse than before. It cost me 65 dollars for them to do nothing with my instrument. I took it in again and they said there was a dent on the slide and again, they fixed it and still, the slide was still dented and it was still out of alignment. What a waste of money.

We went here today and it was awful! They wanted us to fill out a form to get a credit card to rent my brothers instrument for his first year of band. The dude basically shoved the form on my mom and didnt explain it at all. There was absolutely no customer service. One woman was extremely helpful but thats about it. If you are looking for an instrument go to MusicFarm by Toys R Us. They dont rent out instruments but are way more helpful than this place.

This place is nothing but a hassle. You will leave the store feeling violated. I rented an instrument 2 weeks ago paid for insurance coverage, my child wants to switch to an instrument that costs the same amount per month as the current one, I have paid for 2 months in advance already and was just informed by John that that doesnt matter what the cost is. I can switch the instrument for a fee of $5. Then he informed me I have to pay 2 months up front again. What the hell happened to the 2 months we have already paid???? We certainly havent used it. Great customer skills. pay up front, charge a fee to change, aww what the hell lets rob them for more up front costs...

Pellegrinos has a huge selection of sheet music and an incredibly knowledgeable staff. As soon as I entered the store I was greeted by a young lady who helped me find the exact piece of music I was searching for. (Pellegrinos was the only store in the area who had Mary, Did You Know? in stock!) The staff is friendly and the store is HUGE! This store is THE go to place for all things musical. I will definitely be back!

My experience at Pellegrinos Music Center was very comfortable, professional and non-pressured. Prior to my visiting the store, I had a few phone conversations with store owner Jerry Pellegrino Jr. I was in the market for a new professional model flute and Jerry made a few very helpful suggestions. When I got to the store, Jerry had already set up three flutes for me to demo, that he believed were my best choices. They were set up in a small isolated recital room that had great acoustic. After about 30mins. testing the flutes, it was clear which instrument was coming home with me. Jerry provided outstanding information about the flute as well as his overall opinion concerning my test session. I would highly recommend Pellegrinos to any musician, from beginner to professional who is looking for a great instrument at a great value. Thanks again Jerry !

I did not know you have to have a credit check in order to rent an instrument for a child. Also you are very overcharged for an instrument. The lady told me initial price on a flute is no less than $1000,00. That is ridiculous!!! Also I was told if you cannot pass a credit check that you would have to pay a $250 non refundable security deposit. I was appalled at how I was treated like trash because I am middle class and prefer not to ruin my credit with credit cards. I give this store a one star rating it was ridiculous and very ignorant to the hard working class American!! I will tell you take your business somewhere else.

I love it here making music makes you smarter

Weve rented an instrument from Pellegrinos, bought a flute from them, had repairs and maintenance done there and my daughter has been having flute and piano lessons there now for well over a year and not once have we had less than awesome service! It does get very busy and a bit chaotic before band starts in September but even so, weve always been more than happy with the service. Nichole is so very knowledgable and helpful. I would highly recommend Pellegrinos for all your musical needs!
