I went into this Ace which is right near my house expecting to return something that I got at a different Ace that did not work out as I expected. Nothing was wrong with the product I had literally bought it less than 2 hours earlier, and was told that I was not able to make the return at this location because Ace hardware stores are not connected. My question is if Ace hardware stores do not share the same infrastructure and cannot return items bought at a different Ace then whats the point of sharing the name. Mind you i had my receipt as well. I can go to a Home Depot in Alaska purchase a product and go down to Florida and return it for exactly what I paid for it with no issues. So why am I not able to do this with Ace stores that are only 15 miles apart. Seems to me as though these stores should just have mom and pop names if theyre going to operate independently of the corporate structure. I live less than 2 mi away from this store and i will not ever go back to this location. I would rather go to Home Depot which takes me four times longer to get there then frequent this location.

I want to recommend Brian at the Ace Hardware Woodmont. I went in today with several things to search for. Brian walked through the store with me, finding them for me. He carried them to the checkout for me, and then even carried them to my car. He was kind and polite and efficient. What would have taken me a long time, only took minutes. I give Brian a Five Star!!

Not the best Ace Ive been in but they did help me find everything after a little while one of their employees seems that he didnt know anything Im guessing he was new but he was really friendly and he did know how to work the register but I usually go to Ace because theyre experts and I wouldnt have trusted this guy to teach me how to use a hammer.

Huge store with lots of inventory,. The largest Ace store Ive seen,I can spend a lot of time here! Very accessible in my chair with nicely spaced isles that are free of clutter! The staff is very friendly and eager to help.

Regretfully, I may not come back..While shopping for some Big Green Egg accessories and a few camping items, I needed to use the restroom. I asked the employee to use their restroom and he said it was closed to customers. I left the store as I had no choice to go elsewhere. The more I thought about it, I wondered what type of store doesnt let their purchasing customers use their restroom! EVEN WITH COVID! Poor choice on their part as Ill shop elsewhere next time.

No purchase...today. Looking for herb seeds packets for small herb garden. Pre-grown plants in stock were $3.95 each limited variety and in poor, wilted condition . General in store stock depleted . No reason to keep shopping.

Purchased xl Big Green Egg. They assembled it upon delivery. Lid didnt seat properly from day one. Was told to call Green Egg, and after no success, was told they would stop by to adjust. Didnt show. I have purchased significant items like a chain saw, Green egg and regular weekly purchases. No more. If I buy a $1,200 item and they dont take care if me, Im required to vote with my feet. I have a long history of buying from Ace. No more.Update: after six months, the photo of the problem now has 57,000 views. Still no call from Ace. 6/1/2021.

Love the people here. Im unhappy with Ace Hardwares decision to not accept returns for now due to Covid 19. Every store that is open has people sharing shopping carts and touching produce and products that they dont buy. This even happens inside your store. To have a policy to not take returns is not based in any logic or any science whatsoever. Please pass up to corporate and my review will change when they change their policy. Otherwise this location earns 4/5 stars.

I love this Ace hardware. Every time Im in there multiple employees ask if I need help. The staff are knowledgeable, and friendly. The store is cleaner than other hardware shops Ive visited, and I almost never see nuts and bolts in the wrong spot.

Just went in to purchase a gas grill that is in the sales paper but was told it was not in stock. I said I would like to buy it even if we have to order it. Zach is the Sunday manager and he was super rude as if I was a problem for being there to buy something. When I told him he was being rude to me, he told me we could go outside if I had a problem with him, I laughed and told him OKAY, no problem. He then made a mouthy scene and walked to the back of the store. ZACH NEEDS TO BE FIRED ..... and not work with the general public. I will go somewhere else and do business if this is Ace Hardwares choice for leadership. I encourage you to go somewhere else to do business with.

Nice and friendly sadly they dont deliver to Ball Ground but they are very helpful and nice and have a good product selection here! If they would of had delivery to Ball Ground we would have purchased a grill here. But we got everything else we need for our grill and our hardware needs here.

The best place to get answers regarding maintaining your home... everything is under one roof so my go to a big box stores anymore. Now they offer one day shipping on most items.

Buyer beware!!!I bought a Stihl 131 pole saw from this store. We took the saw to a job just to find out the shaft wouldn’t tighten down so when you pulled the throttle the shaft would turn in your hand. Obviously, we were on a job and made the 4 cuts to get through the job. I took the saw back to ace hardware, they had to send it to another ace hardware. 3 weeks later I get the saw back with the same issue. I take the saw back again, a week later I get it back and was told this is the last time they would fix the saw under warranty. On top of all of that I was charged $25 for a diagnosis fee. The manager at the store told me it is what it is and that’s where they stand. I own a tree service and will never spend another dime with ace hardware or stihl again.

This Ace hardware has a great crew of employees that always go out of their way to help. This store always has products that are on sale more than one day unlike the other Ace nearby. The selection of products is good here.

They have pretty much everything. Knowledgeable people on staff can help you find things that you need.

The employees go above and beyond to help us every time we go there. They are our go to place over the bigger home improvement stores. Its closer than the bigger stores, its a smaller foot print than the big stores (so less walking), and the Ace employees actually greet us as soon as we walk in and help us locate exactly what we came for... all of these make a HUGE time saver for getting in and out quickly. If were working on a home project and need something in the middle of it, its easier to go to Ace hardware. If youre accustomed to spending gas and time driving to the larger stores, hunting for help and walking a mile for a single item, Ace Hardware is the upgrade for you. We love this place!!

This place is a metaphor for my life. Theres lots of tools and optimism that broken things can be repaired... But also my wife isnt there and neither is her friend and Im pretty sure theyre together.

Went here to fill my propane tank, as I have in the past, in preparation to fry our Thanksgiving turkey. The guy who offered to help me said he would need to check the tank date. I brought it out to him and he pointed to a number on the tank that he said meant 2000 and the tank was too old to fill. I thought this was wrong because I had gotten it recently from another retailer. But he kept insisting that he couldnt refill it. I asked where else I could go and he said I just needed to get a new tank. I decided to go to Tractor Supply and the employee there just laughed when he looked at the tank. He showed me a stamped date on the tank next to the date the Ace Hardware employee showed me. It was the updated certification date. Dont know if he just didnt want to get out in the cold or just not trained but not going back to this location.

It is super nice to have an Ace hardware out in a rural area. Otherwise its a 20 minutes drive to the nearest Lowes or home depot and who wants to trudge through a short store for a few things.I was able to buy flowers and herbs for my garden. Price is what Id pay otherwise.I got birdseed and a freeder.saved a trip to Walmart, another 20 minutes drive.The peopke are very kind and familiar and helpful.

I purchased a Stihl chainsaw from this location Summer 2018. I have used the saw 3-4 times around my home to clear small brush and a few small pines. Last Saturday I went to crank the saw and the pull cord broke on the second crank. Normally I would have fixed this myself, but I remembered the saw was under warranty. I called ACE Woodmont and inquired if pull cords were covered under warranty. The gentlemen on the phone said yes so I drove up and dropped the saw off including the scabbard. I made a point when dropping the saw off to confirm if this was covered under warranty and again the person helping me (a younger male) said yes. Had it not been covered I would have purchased a pull cord and left with the saw then installed the cord myself.Today I went back to the store because I had not heard if the saw was ready and I needed to purchase some other items. While there I inquired on the status of my saw and learned it was ready. My saw was brought out with no scabbard. I asked where the scabbard was and the response was We arent supposed to take these in with the scabbard, they should have told you to take that with you. Ok, well no one told me this so how was I supposed to know. I dont work here, I dont know your internal rules. The gentlemen went to look for my scabbard. In the meantime a young girl (who was very nice) assisted me with checking out. She presented a bill for the cord and labor to replace it. I explained that the person I called and the person who took the saw in told me warranty would cover this. Had I have known it wasnt covered I would have replaced the pull cord myself and not wasted time driving up to the store. An older gentlemen came over and confirmed that pull cords are not covered by warranty. When I referenced the younger male telling me warranty would cover it both he and the female acknowledged something about a new guy and him making another mistake. What I assume to be the store manager came over when I inquired further about having to pay. The manager reiterated that pull cords are not covered by warranty. I explained I was now aware, but no one told me that before. The manager flung the paperwork towards the cashier and said, Whatever, give it to him in a confrontational manner. He then turned away and walked off.GROW UP! YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY BUSINESS IN TOWN! I will go to Home Depot and Lowes from now on. If I need to purchase Stihl products I will choose another Ace or vendor besides Woodmont. I previously purchased over $1,000 in Stihl products at the location in Johns Creek last winter. You do not treat a customer like this. If your employee was incorrect, you need to honor their word. (Side note- this whole issue was over a $20 labor and $3 part bill). It is not the money, it is the principle.After this was concluded I still didnt have a scabbard. Another gentlemen came from the back with a scabbard. He placed it on my saw to see if it fits. The scabbard is clearly not the one that was on my saw when I dropped it off. It is covered in grease and broken on the bottom. At that point I was so annoyed I just left.I will not return. Good luck retaining customers in an area which is rapidly growing with more affluent neighborhoods. People demand customer service, this was far from it. I do not fault ACE for the pull cord failing- that is on Stihl. I do fault ACE for horrible customer service on part of the manager. You are simply a middle man, products dont speak for your company, customer service is your product; learn how to sell that. I would like to commend the female cashier- she did her job well.
