Hands down best shop around for any Import needs. Had taken my car to a previous shop and they could not fix my car. I take it to Canby Import and they find the issue right away! Took our BMW Z4 in for a simple oil change. Mainly wanted to see their operation, how they treat customers and to help determine if this is the shop we want to use when more serious work is needed for our toy. So far so good. They seem very knowledgeable, shop is in good order and their customer service was top notch.

My favorite foreign auto repair shop for 25 yrs. Love the courteous service by Alex & crew. Especial to his less knowledgeable women clients. I wont take my Audi,Toyota, or VWs anywhere else. I have 100% trust factor with this business; especially for a woman, that means everything. I never question or worry about my service or getting ripped off. If anything! Ive been helped and not charged for little things that were, just how to questions. Alex went out & did it for me.To show me how to replace special bulbs, the right way.I admire and respect what ever this man tells me my car needs, without question. Ive been treated this way for a long time. I, refuse to go anywhere else. Even though! I now live almost 3 hrs away.

Alex and crew have taken care of my 05’ Honda Element for several years now. I wouldn’t take it anywhere else. They’ve proven to me time and time again that my safety and the safe running of my vehicle is their first concern. They are always fair in price and take time to explain what and why my vehicle needs what it needs. I truly believe they’ve kept my Element on the road after over 250,000 miles, and since I love her and am completely attached, I have faith they will help me continue to drive my car for along time.

They were able to quickly diagnose the problem but the vehicle is not worth the cost to do a major engine overhaul.. Very courteous and knowledgeable, reasonable for the diagnostic.. Would go back if I need work on my next vehicle..

My VW van was telling me it was injured, I took it to these guys and Alex gave me the news I feared would be coming. The transmission was failing and chewing its insides up. They gave the diagnosis, I told them my budget restraints, they proceeded to lay out various options for me. Ultimately I decided to have the transmission rebuilt at German transaxle, so Alex removed it and got it ready to go. Back it came, Alex installed it and informed me something wasnt right. He knows his stuff. Back out it came and back to GTA, they replaced a faulty 3rd gear under warranty and Alex installed it again. Along with that he noted a few things that would be wise to address while the trans was out, so I had him put in a new clutch, pack in some axle grease, and replace most of the front braking system. As with these beautiful old adventure mobiles, things snowball due to age and corrosion and that led to new calipers as well. All in it was a lot of money, but things that needed to be done. I knew this but Alex takes the time to explain if something is not working as it should, why, and gives options on how to fix it. Scott communicated in a timely manner keeping me informed of the various steps along the way.When I got back in the van and drove 60 miles, it had never driven so good. Absolutely worth it! I really couldnt have asked for anymore from these guys. Excellent.

I have a 95 rialta (small motorhome ) that has a vw engine that needed some work. I called Canby Import Auto and they indicated that they could work on my engine so I took it there and I could not be happier. They did the work and were fair and honest. My railta runs great now, cant wait to use it.
