Was dropping through Canandaigua, this place piqued my friends and Is interest! Always love a good diner, and Gateway Grille did not disappoint. I got the sausage and gravy on Texas toast: great texture and flavor of the bread that handled the toppings delightfully and did not get soggy. Sausage and gravy itself were delish, with the standard home fries being delightfully seasoned and crispy. All for the price, we were blown away by the quality. The high rating is very deserved. Will be back!

The maple bacon waffles were really tasty, the waitresses friendly - but not wearing masks. :(We wore ours in and during the short wait for food (the guy who brought our silverware and water had one on), but once our food arrived we ate quickly and were out in ten minutes. Probably wont go back until COVID conditions subside.On the plus side, the food really was good, and sharing a full stack we still couldnt eat all of it! Would have been five stars if not for the mask issue. :-(

Went there on a fairly busy Saturday and ordered the corned beef hash. It was actually mashed potatoes with some corned beef and peppers in it. I’m guessing they might have ran out of the actual potatoes for the hash but I would have much rather been told and given the option to change my order but the server didn’t really think anything was wrong with it. Mashed potatoes are far from a good substitute for the usual potatoes used. Either way, I couldn’t eat it.
Delicious breakfast and great people in a very friendly atmosphere. This business also displays good community values and supports our local first responders. They were very accommodating to our 16 month - old daughter. As Canandaigua residents, my family and I will definitely frequent this establishment.
The food was absolutely amazing, I just wish there wasnt such narrow minded propaganda on the TV. It really took away from the whole experience.
This West Coast Girl has nothing but love for this East Coast Grille who’s staff remembers that you’ve got to stand for something or you’ll fall for anything. Since their staff stands up for those who protect and serve, they’ll have my business when I’m in town. Anyone not allowing loitering and disrespecting of any persons, let alone those who protect and serve the community is good in my book.

Also, I hear they recently did not put up with some disrespectful individuals opening showing their distain for law enforcement at the restaurant. While expression of free speech is allowed, doing so while inside someone elses establishment is a different story. Good on you Gateway Grille for stepping in and asking the patrons to step out. I cant wait to come back and spend twice as much as I did the last time I was there. Good job for standing up for your local LEO and doing your civic duty.

We went on a busy Sunday morning. A little confusing with seating, as there were lines at both front & back entrances. Food was great! My pancakes were enormous and tasted incredible! Hubby had the Big Breakfast Plate with sausage gravy, 2 eggs, loads of veggies & toast. Lots to choose from. Our coffee cups were always kept full!
